Well, there is a barbed wire steel cage match set to happen at No Way Out 2005. JBL defends his title against the Big Show in a barbed wire steel cage match, advertisements have been blurting that out. Sounds intense, ads are never wrong.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is an internal dispute as to whether WWE should bring in former ECW stars as a one-time-only deal for the PPV in June, or simply rely on current WWE talent.

 

Reports indicate that Stephanie McMahon tends to favor restricting the PPV to those presently with the company, while Vince is open to the idea of contacting past ECW stars to work the show. This does not mean that Vince will definitely bring in old wrestlers; it simply implies that he is not downright opposed to the option.

 

Paul Heyman's expected influence on the PPV is still not known, but most believe without Heyman, the show is already starting off on the wrong foot.

 

I hope sh*t happens the way WE want it......

If Batista wins I will spit all over my tv. I can understand them wanting to give opporitunities to guys that are on the brink of being really 'over'....but it would be nice to give these to perhaps someone that doesnt suck so badly in the ring. And on the mic (though getting better at both).

Im not sure if WWE is goin for the Batista face turn anymore......They touched on it but I dont think there gonna do it...Y2J for the belt and Batista chasing it......lets get some new rivalry goin.

I dont think Batista deserves the title for at least another year or two.

 

If you ask me, he's been loyal to trying to get better, and though his progress is slow as hell, I think he would only be that much more over if they gave him ALOT more time around the 'mid to highs' so that when he is the champ, he can actually carry the title for awhile. But they are starved for ratings, itll happen far too soon. For the love of god, please not at the next PPV....he and Edge should be immediatly tossed out.

Edge is a pretty damn good wrestler though. I guess in the sense you mentioned, but in any other comparison I dont find them similar at all.

 

Edge is a good wrestler, great on the mic most of the time, I just hate him....cant explain why Probably the consistant try-harding.

It was hurting to listen to him on all those shows I saw during his neck injury time off, because all he would blab about is how he was hoping to come back right into the title picture and get a title reign and blah blah.

Now that he's a heel, he won't have to be such a try-hard. If he gives great matches against the likes of Jericho, Orton, and Benoit, which he is perfectly capable of, the heat will automatically come to him as the fans support their favorites. Sometime down the road, he can get the title, but not in the near future.

I hate Edge as well. With a Passion. However I cant think of not having him. He's a great wrestler...and as said before good on the mic and what not. I just hate em. Absolutly agreed.

 

I could see a Randy Orton replica type thing with Batista winning the belt and losing it 3 weeks later. Maybe not the exact same but I think its agreed....Batista will play a HUGE role on the outcome of the PPV one way or another.

It seems wierd at first, but it always turns out to be something that everyone easily gets used to. He just looks like such a caveman, nickelback singer wanabee. And that is way lame.

I knew Michaels was going to be announced guest referee. I swear he's been one more than any other wrestler in the history of the WWE. Should be fairly interesting though. There's always controversy when he is one. Hell, even DX started off from him being a guest referee.

Raw was predictable, yet good. All of the matches were pretty awesome, everyone put on a great show. That Pedigree was ugly looking though, his face never even hit the mat IIRC.

 

On a side note, I was watching Monster Garage after Raw, and saw Jesus on the episode where they build a Uhaul wrestling ring. He used to have red and green head and facial hair.

lol. I thought the same thing when I saw it. I was like....wow that was really bad. Shelton put his knees in. Thats why. They had a good match though. Always do.

 

Batista might not be able to cut a good promo but the fans feed off of him to the death. He prolly has the best facial expressions out of everyone in the business today. His expressions really tell a story. Thats a great feat to have in the business.

Really enjoyed Raw tonight. I actually wasn't expecting Shawn as the ref. I was thinking Vince, Foley, Rock, or even the ever so slim chance of Bret. No surprise none of the challengers won tonight, but it's a shame they didn't even consider Regal, Stevie, or Hurricane as an opponent for anyone. I would've loved to see Christian in the Chamber, but not replacing Jericho, and we got a hell of a match out of it tonight. I also would've liked to see Rhyno replace Batista in the match even if it makes no sense at all storyline-wise. Meanwhile, Rhy's career is just about flushed after Batista no-sold the Gore tonight. Batista, tho, is probably more over than Orton at this point, even tho Orton is still by far the better wrestler.

 

Travesty that Viscera's contract got picked up instead of Gangrel's. Still, Benoit carried him to a halfway decent match, and the big guy even impressed with that Samoan Drop and that flying rolling kick thingy.

 

Killer promo by Hassan, but damn, let the guy wrestle. We all know "debate" means "beat the sh*t out of the announcers".

 

Another terrible Snitsky moment tonight. Still hoping for the return of old-school Kane at NYR. I bet when Matt Hardy comes back, it will be revealed that he hired Snitsky to kill the baby, turning him heel again.
