TwoZero
My PC: Case: Arctic Silentium T2 (link) Motherboard: Gigabyte K9NF-9 Processor: AMD 64 3200+ "Venice" (2.0Ghz) Memory: 2x 512Mb PC3200 DDR-SDRam (1024mb total) Videocard: Sparkle GeForce 6600GT ViVo Harddisk: Maxtor DiamondMax 10 SATA 200Gb DVD Burner: NEC 2500A Pics: Bit messy inside, extra 20gb seagate hdd because the maxtor I got with it wasn't working properly so I had to sent it back for replacement, used the 20gb to run from for abotu 2 weeks. As you can see the power suply is in the front bottom of the case, and not at the top back as usual, special design case. Next to the power suply is a weird alminium box, it is a holder for a HDD, specially designed to reduce the fibrating of the hdd, and works quite well Where usually the power suply is in normal cases are now 2 80x80mm fans that suck out hot air that rises up in the case: This case is designed to be quiet and still have good airflow, well both are true, my CPU is idle about +/- 33°C and under load +/- 40°C, case temp is always about 25°C, the harddisk in that special box thingy is about 44°C that is a bit to high for my liking. It is pretty damn quiet though, the fans auto adjust speed depending on the temperature, during the night I leave it on but I can barely hear it even while I sleep about 2 meter away from it. I need to buy a round IDE cable to allow better airflow to the PSU, but so far everything is working great (except the hdd I had to sent back). SteakPhish
This is an older pic of it (I now have a blue cold cathode tube running across the top) but this is essentially what it now looks like. I also just recently upgraded.... My Uber Detailed/L337 Specs Abit AV8 w/ 3rd eye edition / u-Guru technology socket 939 motherboard Athlon 64 3200+ Venice Core @ 2.4ghz, ddr400 (had to make the clocks asynchronous because my memory won't OC worth sh*t). So essentially a 3800+. 1GB OCZ Gold EL DDR RAM 2-2-2-5 latency PNY Geforce 6800 Ultra AGP 8x (PCI-express is for losers.....yeah) 60gb WD Caviar (2mb cache I think) 160gb Maxtor Diamondmax 8mb cache DVD-R / CD-RW drive 17" POS monitor that only displays up to 1280x1024 @ 60hz Saitek Gaming Keyboard (the one with light shining from between the keys) Logitech MX310 sh*tty Speakers. Bumper3D
hmm... Here's mine. The clock was inspired by the Ferrari F430 rpm gauge... Still needs some details like the numbers... And this is what the interior of the pc looks like... An ugly wire mess and the temps are not as low as they should but at least it's silent. The pc specs are basically these: AMD XP 3000+ Radeon 9600XT 128DDR 512RAM 40+120GB Maxtor HDD's SoundBlaster LS 5.1 or something like that Hauppauge WinTV something And some wannabe-silent fans and Nexus PSU. Sunbeam rheobus fan controller LG DVD + Samsung CDRW Logitech 2.1 speakers and some Sony Ministereo system. Sounds surprisingly good btw. MX510 über mouse Logitech Internet navigator keyboard. Several MS and Logitech usb controller devices... Ufo headphones And finally, a shot of my room. The pic is a few weeks old but my room looks still the same except the few beer cans laying on the floor.

Wolf68k
Keeping a case inside such a tight enclosure such as that would cook it . I thought the same thing, but it looks like Lian-Li doesn't think so while looking at thier desks for better pics check out this Anandtech review The Lian-Li desk is nice if you like that sort of look. For mean it's too cold feeling, the look I mean, it's like something you'd see some cheesy sci-fi movie or something. But like I always say, "to each their own." And no offense but that case of yours the cables look a mess Edited August 9, 2005 by wolf68k
SIP YEK NOD
well, i just finished installing my new fan in the side window of my case to the left, the standard 80mm fan that was replaced. to the right, the new 8" fan that was installed(donated from an old desktop humidifier) tomorrow, i will finish drilling the air holes and mount the two switches(on/off and high/low) in the side of the case and install the old fan in the back of the case to help move all that air out. Bumper3D
Keeping a case inside such a tight enclosure such as that would cook it . Errmm... Why would it? I only have two case fans - An intake fan on the front and exhaust one on the back. The case does have a side vent but it doesn't matter at all. I used to have the case on table a while back, and putting it into this small "hole" didn't affect the temps at all. Also the sound isolating mat I'm using on my pc actually lowered the temps because all useless holes were filled and now the air goes there where it's supposed to. And at least the quite high temps have not damaged my pc. It's more than three years old and everything is working like a dream. Even the so-called "unreliable" Maxtor hdd's are still in perfect shape.

SIP YEK NOD
finished. 1 200mm fan on the side pannel, 1 80mm on the back, 1 80mm on the side, 1 120mm on the bottom of the ps, and 1 80mm fan on the back is keeping a 3ghz p4 OC'ed to 3.6ghz at 41*C idle, and 50*C at full load. SIP YEK NOD
We've got 3 desk chairs like that, but 2 are cloth which I like better....and all 3 aren't bolted to piece of ply wood, they still have thier wheels the reason mine is bolted to a peice of plywood is because i was leaning back on it, and one of the legs broke off EVERYBODY fell off the first time they sat in the 4-legged chair but by bolting the 4 remaining legs to the plywood, the two nearest legs to the missing leg takes the weight when i lean forward, so no more falling over.
