No. Tip
1 You must have a 45+ score at the shooting range in Downtown Ammunation
2 Although completing all 36 rampages doesnt affect your completion percentage that much - you still must do them. It increases your percentage by 1.
3 RC Bandit - can be found on Washington Beach near the north inside the TopFun Van.
4 RC Raider - can be found at the Airport, in the TopFun Van. It sits in a corner.
5 RC Baron - is situated at the top of the multi-storey car park outside the North Point Mall.
6 Cone Crazy can be found at the top of the multi-storey car park in Ocean Beach, just up from the Pole Position. (It is the place where you met Lance during Guardian Angels)
7 PCJ Playground - there is a bike sitting (SOMETIMES) in a corner just down from the malibu. When you leave the malibu, drive down and go left, up the grass, and it MIGHT be sitting there. If not, just keep going back and forth until it is there.
8 The Dirt Track Missions can be found in Downtown, behind the buildings to the north.
9 Cheats and Codes do NOT affect the 100%, however GameShark might, Im not sure.
10 yes there are many 100% glitches, we already know about them, so no need to post.
11 If you are stuck on 99% and you dont know what you are missing, dont post about it, because theres no way anyone can help you unless you know what it is you need.
12 There is absolutely no way to cheat durng The Driver, you just gotta keep trying, theres no tricks (except maybe spinning him). You cant pop his tires etc. , and fi you kill him you fail the mission.
13 Do the vigilante missions in a Police Cheetah. Makes it so much easier.
14 Finding The Bodyguards (after getting 100%)
15 1. Pizza boy (PC version)

(i) the Pizza mope will be find on the back of every pizza restaurant.

(ii) Each level will start with a new timer, i.e. you have 5 minutes to deliver 10 pizzas in level 10.

(iii) The mope can hold up to 6 pizzas only, so you must plan your route carefully. Once the mission start, wait for a second to let all customers shown on the map. Then press ESC to check the map. Each customer will represent by a yellow dot. A round trip will be great and try to divid the customers into groups. That would save you a lot of time.

(iv) To deliver a pizza to a customer, do it as what you do in a drive-by. A drive-by means to fire your SMG while you are looking left or right. If you don't know which keys are, press ESC, go to options -> controller setup -> redefine controls. You should know which are the correct keys. If you don't bother to check it yourself, don't bother to ask me because I won't bother to answer you, clear? Besides, everyone's key binding may be different.

(v) You must "fire" the pizza as close as possible or the customer will ignore you and you've just wasted a vaulable pizza and most of all, your time. The perfect shot is right hitting on the customer, or a few steps around would be fine also.

(vi)You must go back to the restaurant to complete a level, if you died, arrested or run out of time in the middle, you failed. Stop in the pink circle to complete the level or fill up new pizzas.

(vii) Yeah, I know the mope is slow but its handling is good enough to save you from a crash in the very last second. If you still don't have confidence, pick a Faggio for practise because they are virtually the same.

16 Firetruck

The control of the hose is same as the turret of the Rhino. If you don't know the keys, press ESC, go to options -> controller setup -> redefine controls to check them out. If you don't bother to check it yourself, why you bother to ask anybody else here?

17 Missing Rampage/Hidden Package

There is no way for others to know where your missing Rampage(s)/Hidden Package(s) is/are unless you post all

Through front entrance of vercetti mansion, take immediate right into bar/lounge w/ couches.

If they are not there leave and come back and they should be there.

18 it's quite not worth it using the PCJ 600 for The Driver mission... since u'll automatically gets 2 stars when mission starts, cops will most likely crash into u and stuff... personally i think it's even worst than the normal 2 stars wanted level... coz during that mission, cops tends to appear in the same place all the time (try re-doing the mission and u'll notice it), and personally i think they are programmed to spawn at gay spots at gay time and crash into u making sure u'll get gayed...

---------

it's alot more safe to use the Sentinel given... since that car is heavy and u can spin out the Sabre Turbo any time... actually u only need to spin him out once to win the race...

19 Any police vehicle can be used for the Vigilante missions. Including...FBI vehicles, police vehicles, police mavericks, the hunter, and army vehicles. The Police Cheetah is said to be the best.
20 First get a Hotring Racer and place it at the next set of lights from the start position, preferably on the left hand side of the road. Cut off the doors with a chainsaw or the like to save more time if you need to. Then, once you start, floor it and smash straight in to a tree or one of the poles near the Hotring you placed. This will stop you completely with no braking time, and it's quicker than bailing. Then quicky jump out and get in your placed car, (no door opening time if you cut the doors off), and start racing. Doing it in this car is pretty easy cause it has good speed + handling, also, when the cops ram you, it doesn't throw you off too much in this car. You'll need to do the race a few times to find out where the cops spawn, and so you can pick good lines to take through the course.[/b]
21 Police Cheetah - Vigilante missions.

There is a very good reason for using this vehicle. It's undercover, so spray shops don't know it's a Police car, and will respray it for you. Start your mission at the Airport, and with a bit of luck ALL your levels will be there (the new criminals spawn near you when you dispose of the previous ones). Then when you have taken a little damage or have two stars, go to the spray shop under the Car Showroom. After a couple of levels you should find you easily have enough time left to do this and get back to the airport to deal with the guys you left there. I finished 12 Vigilante missions with 16 minutes left on the clock. Of course the best way to kill the criminals is by shooting their cars with a rocket launcher or minigun. This kills everyone in the car at once.

22 Distribution Mission

Drive out of the Ice Cream factory and turn left. Head up towards the Downtown area until you see the hotel on your left with a big pool in front of it. Drive into its car park, down to the back and come back out again - there will be lots of pedestrians there. Keep providing them with the goodies until nobody else is interested, or until you have 2 stars. Then head back down where you came from and pay a quick visit to the Pay & Spray. Repeat as necessary.

23 Sir, Yes Sir (stealing the tank)

I've read guides that tell you to knock the door off the tank, but you get shot by the soldiers if you try. The best way is, let the convoy move on until the reach the deli (just past the Ice Cream Factory, and the officer in charge will order one of his men to go and get him some doughnuts. He gets out of the tank, and you can get in and drive straight off.

24 The Driver

Not too much fun (imho) if you swap cars part way through - feels a little too much like cheating. I prefer to manipulate the pre-set timings. You get to know when the police cars will come at you, and which corners are bad. If you play it just right, you can make it so the police cars ram Hilary instead of you. Especially good on the corner by the Hospital where two police cars come at you from opposite directions.

25 The Job

When you get out of the taxi and cross the road to get to the Bank, run round the building (turn left and head along the side, all the way to the back) and go out onto the road. Jack a car (preferably a four-seater) and reverse it up the concrete ramp behind the bank. Leave it there and go round the front to continue with the mission. Then, after you get back out of the bank you find you don't have to run past the Police blockade, just head round the back (making sure Phil comes with you) and get into your parked car. Then head for the Pay & Spray. The cops will still be after you so it's better if you have a car which has good traction, to stop you getting flipped too easily.

26 Messing With The Man

My method for this level is to make sure I have loads (50+) of rockets before I start, then get on one of the Angels immediately and drive off to your right, onto the grass. Stop by the wall and turn around - you're facing the set of stairs leading up to the Skumole Shack. Ride up the stairs, and past the shack, bearing left. Get off the bike and stand in the very corner overlooking the main road. Nobody will follow you up there. Then you simply fire rockets down at anything that moves. Whenever possible, aim for PEOPLE, not cars, as they count more. Then when you've finished you can ride your bike straight off the edge of the building and go down to the Pay & Spray - it's not far at all.

27 Martha's Mug Shot

The guides I've read tell you to go in the side door of the hotel opposite Shrub's apartment and go up the stairs to the balcony. Which is all well and good if you want to get shot to pieces on your way back down. Instead, land your Sparrow on the ledge on the front of the hotel, and you're at exactly the right height to take the photos. Then you can just get straight back into the Sparrow and head back to the film studio without worrying about the FBI.

28 ...regarding the Haitian mission where you have to shoot the Cubans without them noticing.... take the gun and deliberately fail the mission as many times as you like - infinite free sniper rifle ammo!!

***EDIT by Spuds725***

I got permission from Small_Fryz to edit this post as I think this post is a good fit here and will help people get 100% on their own--- Thanks to Small_Fryz for letting me do this....

***********

Since we frequently get new threads for people that cannot get 100%, I decided to create this topic to help people out.. and so I don't have to keep re typing the same thing.

First of all, if you are going for 100% you should use Chunky Lee Chongs 100% tic sheet and mark off everything as you do it.

The only problem with his guide is you can't tell if you have completed something or not for all the items by looking at your stats. You may remember doing something but you could have got killed after, reloaded and then not done it again.

To remedy this I copied over his guides and I made 2 seperate tic sheets-- the first lists all items that are in your stats that you can verify by checking out your stat page-- if these items are not in your stats, then the game does not consider these done-- you have to redo them. The second tic sheet lists items NOT in your stats and ways you can check that they are done.

So first, carefully go through your stats and verify each of the following is done.

C.L.Chong’s 100% Tic Sheet™ (Edited-- Only listing items that should be in your stats)Assassination Contracts[_] Assassination Contracts Complete 5 out of 5Boatyard[_] Checkpoint Charlie time in your statsR3 Missions[_] Taxi Driver- at least 100 Fares[_] Paramedic Level 12[_] Pizza Boy Level 10[_] Firefighter at least Level 12[_] Vigilante at least Level 12Street Races[_] Terminal Velocity time in your stats[_] Ocean Drive time in your stats[_] Border Run time in your stats[_] Capital Cruise time in your stats[_] Tour! time in your stats[_] V.C. Endurance time in your statsOther[_] Cone Crazy time in your stats[_] PCJ Playground time in your stats[_] Test Track time in your stats[_] Trial By Dirt time in your statsChopper Checkpoints [_] Ocean Beach time in your stats[_] Little Haiti time in your stats[_] Vice Point time in your stats[_] Downtown time in your statsTop Fun Vans[_] RC Bandit Race time in your stats[_] RC Baron Race time in your stats[_] RC Raider Pickup time in your statsHyman Memorial Stadium[_] HoTring (first place)[_] DIRTring time in your stats[_] BLOODring time in your statsProperties[_] The Malibu Club[_] Print Works[_] Kaufman Cabs[_] Boatyard[_] Ice Cream Factory[_] Film Studio[_] Sunshine Autos[_] Pole Position[_] Ocean Heights[_] Links View Apartments[_] 1102 Washington Street[_] 3321 Vice Point[_] Skumole Shack[_] El Swanko Casa[_] Hyman CondoRampages[_] 35 Rampages completedUnique Jumps[_] 36 Unique Jumps completedHidden Packages[_] 100 Hidden packages foundStores to Rob[_] Stores Knocked off 15 of 15

This second tic sheet list items not in your stats and how to verify them-- I left the last story mission in, the final mission in all side mission strings, as well as, businesses that are not required for the story (only printworks is absolutely required to open up final missions).

I removed Avery's missions since you have to complete his to open up Umberto Robina's missions.

I removed Malibu missions, since those are required to open up Phils Missions.

I removed boatyard since you can verify this done by having time for checkpoint charlie (see above tic sheet)

You can verify each business by making sure each is generating money.

C.L.Chong’s 100% Tic Sheet™(edited-- everything that is not in stats that is required for 100%, all side missions strings, all non required businesses listed)Juan Garcia Cortez [_] All Hands On Deck-- Verify this by lack of an icon at Marina.Final Mission[_] Keep Your Friends Close-- Verify-- Hunter at fort baxter if 100 hidden packages NOT done, will also be at Ocean Beach helipad if 100 hidden packages ARE done.Love Fist [_] Publicity Tour-- Verify this by lack of an icon at radio station downtownBig Mitch Baker[_] Hog Tied-- Verify by lack of an icon at Biker Bar near downtown.Interglobal Film Studio[_] G-Spotlight -- Verify this if Film studio generating moneyUmberto Robina [_] Trojan Voodoo-- Verify by lack of an icon at cafe in Little HavannaAuntie Poulet [_] Dirty Lickin's-- Verify by lack of an icon a shack in Little Haiti-- and Haitians shoot at you when you are in Little Haiti.Kaufman Cabs[_] Cabmaggedon--Verify this if Kaufman Cabs is generating money.Phil Cassidy[_] Boomshine Saigon-- Verify this-- 4 heavy weapons available for purchase at Phils Place.Sunshine Autos[_] Garage 4 List complete-- verify this if the Hotring racer is upstairsPole Position[_] Spend at least $300 at the Pole Position-- verify this if Pole Position is generating money.Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory[_] Distribution- Verify this if Cherry Poppers is generating money.Other[_] Shooting Range (score of 45)-- gives you fast reload-- you can verify only if you know the difference between fast and normal reload-- you should be able to fire 3 rockets (with the rocket launcher) in 1 second with fast reload-- if its slower then this, you likely don't have the shooting range done

The most frequently missed item is the Shooting range--- After the Malibu Mission "the shooter" you must return to the downtown ammunation and score a 45 or better on the gun range-- this is NOT in your stats.

Glitches

Test Track/Trial by Dirt-- in some games there is a glitch in these checkpoints(I know this glitch exists on PS2 and PC-- just not every copy has it)-- for whatever reason, in some people's games, one of these times will not register unless the other is done and then the times for both will be the same, and depending on what order you do them will affect whether one or both will be in your stats--

--to fix this glitch-- do trial by dirt-- check your stats to see if you have a time for both, if not, do test track, check your stats again-- if it still doesn't have a time for both, do trial by dirt again-- you should now have a time for both and it will be the same for both.

Missing Hidden package/Missing jump-- I'm not sure either of these actually exist but I've heard people swear that they do-- I've also read that this will fix it (on PS2 anyway). Remove your memory card. Turn your PS2 off and back on-- let a brand new game start-- click through the cut scenes if you don't want to watch them again.... when you can control Tommy-- pause, insert your memory card, and reload your saved game-- supposedly this will reset your jumps and hidden packages that are missing and you will be able to complete them now.

Missing Rampage-- I'm told that the Molotov rampage in Ocean Beach will disappear if you fail it, making it impossible to get 100%-- I've never experienced this glitch-- if this happens, I'd try the reload trick described above.

Make sure you are looking in the correct spot for your packages-- some quides are not correct-- I urge you to use one that has pics of the packages.

For the Jumps-- you have to land them correctly (correct spot and/or distance)-- I'm considering making a compilation video clip of me successfully doing all the Unique jumps-- will show you where you should land.

I'm open to any suggestions on improving this guide---

If anyone has any screenies of the various icons for the different missions (cuban, haitian, Lovefist, and Mitch Baker-- please post them-- as I would like to incorporate them in the guide-- I can take PS2 screenies but they will be of significantly less quality-- I will add them in if no one else posts these.

Thanks to Chunky Lee Chong for creating the tic sheet-- It was alot easier to edit out stuff then to create a new one from scratch.

Spuds

Once again-- Thanks to Small_Fryz for letting me insert my post here.

Not really.

Well, I just realized that the link isn't working. Or at least not for me. It might be in a little bit because I think it's just because the 7-bit uploader thing is broken or something. I don't know.

during The Driver mission... cops only crash into your car but not the other one... WTF... lol... but i do find out one thing about it thou... for GTA VC, for certain mission, same cars will appear when u reach certain road... for example, for the PCJ Playground, big truck always cross in front of u when u pass intersection... another example is The Driver, there will be 2 cops team up on u when u do the turn near the most southen bridge... that's the stuff u have to be remember... if u fail the mission, big deal, just learn the mistake and keep trying...

got a question thou... do ppl really have alot trouble completing The Driver mission here in this forum?? if so i'll post some strats... see if it helps

jeez you must be joking, lol, millions of people have made stupid topics asking for help with the driver as if we are gonna put a curse on it so that it makes them pass it something, hehe

sure post some stats if you wish.

yea... i'll try to come up w/ a video on how to spin him out around the first turn... it always works for me...

guess i have to starts GTA VC from the beginning all over again??? LOL

nope. just get the ultimate savegame package from codenamevice and get the one right before the driver completed.

still havent completed it, maybe i should leave a pcj down the road to jump on

According to Leo request I'll post some of my tips on some missions.

Firetruck

The control of the hose is same as the turret of the Rhino. If you don't know the keys, press ESC, go to options -> controller setup -> redefine controls to check them out. If you don't bother to check it yourself, why you bother to ask anybody else here?

Missing Rampage/Hidden Package

There is no way for others to know where your missing Rampage(s)/Hidden Package(s) is/are unless you post all your completed Rampages/Hidden Packages.

Proably somewhere in Ocean Beach or Vice Point, they arent really found in specific places, just at random to be honest, because if you find one, you'll find a dozen, so keep driving around, and keep switching cars so that the memory changes.

About The Driver: Cars I put anywhere close to the start tend to dissappear, even with the doors left open. However, there is a neat PCJ-600 in the corner on the grass to your left, just a small bit from where you start. It's used for the PCJ Playground mission, and therefore does not dissappear when doing The Driver.

well it's more fun to stick w/ what the game gives u... coz there's really no point in doing most of the missions w/ the ALL PROOF Admiral... that will just ruin the game... what the game give us is always possible to beat... and it's always fun to face up to the challenge... biggrin.gif

ok i was reading that tic sheet for 100% and it says i need to get lvl 12 on vigilante mission..... i heard using police cheetah is better (cause its a better car) but could i use the hunter (apache helicopter thingy) instead cause it has vigilante mission too when u enter it, or r vigilante missionn in apache different than the once from cop cars?

No, they are exactly the same. I used the Hunter aswell, makes no difference. It can be a bit tricker using the hunter due to the speed, but in my opinion, makes no difference. tounge.gif

Okay dokey, I didnt really know how to word that as a tip, but I think I described it not too badly. smile.gif I put a short message describing which vehicles can be used for the Vigilante missions, and said that the police Cheetah would probably be the most benneficial vehicle to use. You can see it on my first post, tip number nineteen.. Hope this helps. smile.gif

okay, i have done every single thing in the game that needs to be done in order to reach 100%, except the paramedic missions. but it says i have 98% completion, and i'm wondering if completing the paramedic mission will award you with 2%, thus making me get 100%.

hmm... Im not actually sure just how much each thing awards you, although I hope somebody else who reads this message remembers. I always imagined 1% for each event like that, but I may be wrong, so dont panic, lol. Maybe if people can remember things like this, I can list the percentage awards aswell. Good Idea. smile.gif

The 1st time I completed the Vigilante mission, I used the Rhino. I got lucky & all the "threats" spawned around the airport so I didn't need to get anywhere fast, & the time for each level grows after completing the previous level.

If you can get the hang of the controls for the Hunter, I'd use it - you don't have to worry about traffic/vehicle damage.
