@brams
really sorry for second replay in a row but if i have that sometimes when im driving on PCJ600 soooo fast that even with frame limite ON textures takes time to load somewhere do i need to install? CBJusDontPlay
I basically have the same question as Brams. I much prefer playing with frame limiter off, because then I get the roughly 80-90fps my computer deserves to get, but then I obviously suffer from the problem where textures lag a moment or two behind, and then show, or buildings form. Does this patch help with that specific problem?
Alucasan
I think this is for those who get white lines and sh't in their game. Some Geforce FX owners. I own Ati Radeon 9700 and no graphics problem I have.
slimshady
i think this fixes both problems... the one where you drive too fast, and textures dont keep up, as well as the graphics corruptions on gfx cards... i used to have both problems, and now they are both fixed with this patch. CBJusDontPlay
Question for ya slim, when ya had the problem with the textures taking too long to load that was fixed with the patch, were ya using frame limiter or leaving it off?
Ben E Gas
I've noticed, even with this patch. Any time smoke is shown on the screen, it still looks real fake compared to the rest of the graphics which are great. ALso, under street lights. It looks real polygony
slimshady
it was off... it would never happen when frame limiter was on. but i also switched the .exe to win98 copatability mode... i dont know if that, or the patch fixed it
@brams
try to switch back to XP and tell plz us!!
1337jman
the patch looks like it just modifies the gta-vc file. if I back it up and try the patch, if it didn't seem to do anything, could I just put the original exe in so it would be like it never happened? reefer kills
yep, i did that as i have issues with the overly (the white lines thing) in compatablity mode on my 9700, but i got a lockup with the patch so i went back to the regular exe as i can just esc to menu and back to get the overlay working right. CBJusDontPlay
Any luck yet? Able to confirm if the 1.1 patch removes the problem with textures not catching up quickly with frame limiter off?
Arjento
Anyone know if the mouse sensitivity bug is fixed in this patch? Thanks.
DigitalXTC
Any luck yet? Able to confirm if the 1.1 patch removes the problem with textures not catching up quickly with frame limiter off? Well I tried it out. Setting VC to Win98 compatability mode works! it stops the annoying drawing of textures problem. I also set it to turn of visual styles. Hope it works for everyone else. Oh this is without the 1.1 patch. I havent tried that yet.
DigitalXTC
Just another problem I learned that might be of some help to all those windowblinds users. If you do not disable Windowblinds you will get a unhandled exception error. It does not matter if you put a exclustion for gta-vc.exe in windowblinds it will still happen. You need to unload windowblinds completely in order to run the game.
Dreakon
Sometimes when viewing replays Tommy when he is on a bike dissappears, but the bike is still there and the replay is still going, just Tommy disappears. Would this be a reason to install the patch?
Vicetopia
Install the patch if your game has serious video problems, like unalligned textures or big, white lines. Other than that, it does nothing. If you can't look at your game and say, "Man, the graphics on this game are so messed up I can't even play!", then don't install it. You don't need it and it will do nothing for you. J-Mitch
I know I didn't need it, but I installed it anyway and now my computer has the spin-up slowdown whereas it didn't before. Could be a coincidence.
