[Mobile] Weird stats for Avenging Angels missions

Hi, it's been a while since i posted here. So here's the story - currently I'm doing another 100% completion of the game on my Android console, starting from my starter save (this shouldn't matter for the issue I'm about to describe). I recently unlocked Shoreside Vale and I decided to complete the side missions there before proceeding with the storyline. I completed the Avenging Angels (I'll call it AA for short) mission on Shoreside Vale and with this I fully completed the Avenging Angels quest line by doing the bare minimum that's expected for each island. But when I was looking at my stats I noticed something weird (see it for yourself In the attached screenshot)

- for highest AA level it shows 16 for Portland and Shoreside but for Staunton island it shows 15 (as if I didn't reach level 16)

- "Number of AA missions passed" is displayed 44 (I would expect 45 if I covered the bare minimum for each island).

I clearly remember completing the required 15 levels on Staunton Island and seeing the "Mission Passed" message but now I started questioning myself. Here are the checks I did to verify if Staunton Island completion is detected by the game:

- If I let myself get busted I don't lose money. This matches the prize I'm supposed to have from completing Avenging Angels on Staunton island - no money should be taken when I get busted. I loaded an early save where AA was not started and I confirm that I lose money when I get busted.

- When I start doing AA on Staunton Island and complete level 15 I don't get "Mission Passed" message

- When I try to start Avenging Angels again the "Mission Attempts" counter doesn't increase. This matches the behavior where completing a side mission prevents new mission attempts to be counted if restarted. Specifically for AA, this happens when all 3 islands are completed (otherwise it keeps increasing the counter even if you re-start on an island that was already completed). Again, testing on old save file confirms that starting AA increases the counter.

So what is happening here, am I going crazy or this is a known game behavior? A quick conversation with the Gemini AI returned a response that the most probable reason for my stats is that on Portland and Shoreside Vale I ended the mission when level 16 has already started, while on Staunton Island I might have ended the mission as soon as the "Mission Passed" text appeared on screen (probably there is some short period of time between completing the level and starting the next one. This seems like a good explanation, although it doesn't explain why I have 44 AA missions passed. If this metric reflects the number of completed levels I would expect the number to be 45 but who knows how the game counts it 😀

I am very close to 100% completion anyway and I'll be able to verify very soon if something is messed up with my save file. If I reach 100% this would probably mean that the game correctly tracked my progress and it's just the "stats" functionality that is bugged.

EDIT: I added additional information for me checking if restarting the mission increases the Mission Attempts counter

Basically, the game records the progression correctly for 100% completion, but the stats screen can be off. If your percentage still goes to 100%, your save is fine, and it’s just the display that’s misleading.

Actually I forgot to update you on this. Indeed, when I completed the remaining missions I got to 100% and received the award.

Initially I thought that something is wrong because I was still on 99% after completing Sicilian Gambit. But after some digging I realised that the games requires completing Karmageddon from the fire station. Apparently the mission needs to be completed in the storyline and later picked from the fire station as a side mission.

That's really surprising. I've never seen that before. Is that possible with other 3D-era games too?  Does this only happen with the mobile versions, or also with the PS2?

@stef_92 thanks for your update
