GTA VI General Speculation & Discussion - Vice City, Baby!!!

There's a chance of we not getting a new Rockstar game for the PS6 at all, excepting the obvious GTA6 remaster which will happen eventually.

Sorry, but I disagree

Assuming the next Rockstar title would take 6-7 years to produce, we can assume that, as usual, the next Rockstar game will be released a year or two before the end of the generation. If the PS6 is on the market for 7 years, the same length as the PS4 and PS5, that means the PS6 generation will end in 2033, and Rockstar would probably release the game in 2032 or 2033

GTA6 has been in production for 7.5 years, assuming it releases in May 2026, and we can assume that if it weren't for the COVID19, production of this game would take 6.5 years.
If there are no viruses like COVID, I think Rockstar will release the next game in about 6-7 years - assuming they will start full development of the next game right after the release of VI

Unless they focus on a new IP, then the situation is different because new IP will require a much longer development period than, for example, Red Dead Redemption 3 – but let's be honest, Rockstar and Take-Two won't abandon such a successful IP as Red Dead

Who knows, maybe Rockstar will change its game development policies, maybe split its teams and start releasing smaller-scale games, but the development time will be shorter – just like it was in the PS2/PS3 era (North: GTA, San Diego: RDR, Vancouver: Bully)

Looking at GTA6's weapon wheel, I noticed that Rockstar seems to be using the same phisosophy they used in RDR2, which is displaying the weapons exactly how they're placed on the character's body.

Notice how in GTA6 the fist icon is between the melee weapon and the sidearm, with the longarm being on the back of the character, it's just like in RDR2, and I imagine the empty left slot could be used for another longarm, but I'm not sure...

With this being said, at least considering how it was represented in the leak, GTA6's weapon wheel seems to be very limited, even more limited than RDR2's, since we can't see slots for a second sidearm nor a second longarm, but it's well organized at least.

These images aren't a direct rip off from the leak.

Eem, I think no one cares about this 2021-22 leak anymore.
I think we could easily post photos and get away with it

Which is great in my opinion : )

I always wanted GTA VI to be a game that is closer to realism like RDR2/GTAIV than GTA5

Just keep in mind, a lot can change in 4 or 5 years. The leaks were from 2021, and things may or may not have changed. I do like the RDR2 style, though.

People do still care. And you absolutely still cannot lol

My point is, nothing would have happened if it had been shown here
The leaks are all over TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter and nothing really is happening with this

We'll have to be very careful with our main vehicles in GTA6.

While I don't think that we'll lose our weapons stored in its trunk if it gets blown up, thrown in the sea or something, we'll probably have to go to the nearest Ammu-Nation or safehouse to recover them, it should be interesting...

Almost 4 years, yeah, the most recent video which shows the weapon wheel is from August 10 2022.

I hope they'll approach this like they did with the main horse in RDR2

The fact that in GTAV you can't buy a vehicle that will be your main vehicle, but each character has their own assigned car, is a joke.

There's no reason to buy a car online in Story mode

Even though I wanted GTA6's weapons capacity to be like GTA4's originally, in which we can carry 1 weapon of each kind, this even more limited weapons capacity that Rockstar seems to be using in GTA6 has grown on me, if they want this game to be the most hardcore of the HD Universe Trilogy, so be it, I'm ready for the extra challenge.

Just remove the goddamn reticle sway.

It ain't so simple, making different horses work properly in cutscenes or something is much easier than making different vehicles work properly in said cutcenes, each with vastly different interiors, exteriors and what not...

Even though I think that GTA6 will allow us to choose the main vehicles of Jason and Lucia, I don't think this change will be represented in the missions, in which Jason and Lucia will use their "story vehicles" so to speak.

Sure, but who's moderating over there? Pretty sure Take-Two do still take some things down, from time to time. But yeah, I've seen a lot on Twitter and YouTube that never gets taken down.

Here, while not an official fan site, is still largely associated with Rockstar. You can't freely post those leaks without them being taken down and banned. I personally think since the game is officially revealed and we've seen a lot of the game, it's something that should be loosened. But I don't know if the clips or images contain information that Rockstar wouldn't want public, such and their debug tools and such.

For all we know the limited inventory thing could be completely scrapped by know.

Precisely. It may even have just been Rockstar using RDR2's system as a placeholder. As cool and 'exciting' as those leaks were for some of us (others would feel it was a spoiler or disappointing way to reveal things -which I get and partly share) it can lead to false or inaccurate speculation and expectations.

It did. I believe last year they experimented with smaller wheels, or sub-wheels, within the big weapon wheel. But this may have since been scrapped, or updated to a different style.

I'm almost dying of curiosity, I can't wait to see it in the Gameplay Trailer or something, alongside the rest of the HUD of course.

I have the impression you know a lot but don't say much ;(
Many people would be happy, including me.

If Tez starts telling us everything he knows, Take-Two moments later...

We can't even judge them this time because the word leak applies to what Tez just said, this isn't just speculation.

Was he drunk again?
Many well-known musical artists come from Florida, and it seems a bit quiet lately on the radio. I believe the GTA VI soundtrack will be great again.

Not a clue but it is known they do drink, no telling if he legitimate for real or what.

About this, I saw some people wishing that GTA6 gets delayed so Rockstar gets to release RDR2's remaster in its place, I can't believe how selfish these people can be.

This game already is available for a long time for Christ's sake, let us have our fun too, you'll get your remaster eventually.

Some people are just insane at this point lol

It was posted, yes. It happened for every game, just a new reviews system.

Is it worth waiting for an updated version of RDR2 on PS5 this year? Will it be this month before the November financial call or after?

As I understand it, if there is no more new information on GTA 6 this year (There is a high probability that it will turn out that way), then R* will release another December update for GTAO before the end of the year (and this will be the final winter DLC in GTAO's history) and an updated version of RDR2, right?

There is rather a high probability that we will have news this year rather than not having it, November-December will be 6-5 months before May 2026, time for Trailer 3 with Pre-Orders

Was this post? They got a review with ratings showing up on PS5 website.

It's most likely connected to PlayStation recently allowing players to submit up to 4000 word written reviews, on the store.

I literally thought the same thing, the usual “fan accounts” will spread it. Another reason I deleted my account

It seems to me that this is a big misconception. They can safely use the 4-month marketing window and open pre-orders, and everything like that, only by the end of January. For example, it recently became known that Capcom will open pre-orders for RE9 4 months before the release. I doubt that R* will want to artificially stretch the marketing of the game. They don't have to have 6-5 months of promotion — four months of active marketing is enough.

We only saw the leak stuff, so we don't know the exact plan. For that I wonder if the bottom slot can be either rifle on back or pistol hidden behind shirt. That would be cool and also versatile in my opinion.

I'm not very fond of keeping a pistol on my back, specially after seeing that Tortuga scene from Better Call Saul lol.
