Bringing the house down stuttering

This. At the mission BTHD, when I enter to the Porter tunnel under construction the game starts to drop FPS in certain areas until you get to the subway zone.

In PCSX2.

I haven't got any problem like that in the rest of the game. What could it be?

In the status bar of PCSX2 it should say the usage of the emotion engine and something else and the output FPS. If those are at 100% it probably means the PS2's resources are maxed out and it would stutter on real hardware too. If that's the case I guess you could try overclocking in the settings.

I've got EE Cycle Rate at 300%, it doesn't fix the issue.

 

Status bar: Volume 100% - Vulkan HW - NTSC - Interlaced - Automatic [EE 39%] - VU 15% - GS 31% - FPS 42 - VPS 60

 

My computer: CPU Intel 12900K - GPU RTX 3090 - 32 GB RAM DDR5 4000 MTs - 2TB SSD
