How would y'all feel about a Micah prequel DLC?

I really wish they would have made a prequel DLC where you play as Micah before the events of RDR2. I think it would've worked if they went all out and made him the worst possible person. The missions could've been all out chaos, madness and the most possible evil sh*t. Like they could've gone full controversial. Made him out to be a demon on Earth. Hell comes around anyone he associates with. I would like to believe that Micah himself would be highly skilled in manipulation and more skilled in killing. He would start with his duel revolvers and his journey would be one of hellfire on his way before he meets Dutch.

They could've really showed how certain individuals don't have redemption in their path. It would even be more interesting if Micah was constantly tempted with a better choice or a choice that would redeem some of his evil actions, but he always picks the worst possible choice to go about things as long as he stays in control.

The dynamic between Micah's and Arthur's choices would even more highlight how Arthur was conflicted with his soul and ill actions but still tried to do the right thing as he got older, whilst Micah would always go further into the path of hell.

yes I've been saying since the game came out how great a micah dlc would be. i know most of the community hates him. but when you really think about it. trevor from gta 5 is a much worse person and yet he was one of the main characters. and trevor is beloved by the community. so i definitely think a micah dlc could work well. i really want to learn more about his backstory. maybe some flashbacks or something. and i think a dlc focused on him would be mostly action and comedy. rdr2 is a lot deeper and depressing. not to mention a lot of missions can be slow and boring at times. (looking at you country pursuits.) but knowing micah. most of his missions would be explosive action packed stuff. kind of like how tbogt was. only with a much better protagonist. but sadly i think we all know any story dlc for rdr2 is not gonna happen at this point. the best we can hope for is to see micah in the next red dead game.

I agree i think they could do a great story around Micah and Peter Blomquist is excellent at portraying him. However they won’t do it for the reason in your first sentence. As for the Trevor example, I would say he is a divisive character. There are plenty of people who hate him as much as those who love him.

 

Theres a lot of players I think who want to identify with the character at some level - even if they are doing bad things, they want someone who is likeable outside of their criminal activities. This is why I think (high honour)Arthur and John are so popular with players. I think Trevor and Micah are superb characters for a story line, but commercially more risky as a lead protagonist. In GTA V I think they get away with it a bit because Trevor is one of three.
