Youtube embed videos error

Recommended Posts

kapushka

Hi!

since few days ago, every youtube embed video in the site can't be played anymore unless opening it in new windows. (youtube site itself)

i get:

"You need to log in to verify that this is not a bot"

"This is how we keep our community safe. More information"

when i press "more info" it shows me error:

"Could not connect to support.google.com"

I tried with chrome and with Firefox,

i'm logged in to youtube but still get the same.

any suggestions?

tnx

This has been happening to me occasionally across all websites that use Youtube embeds, there's nothing we can do on our end unfortunately. If you use an adblocker, this could be Google cracking down at random.

Hmm, intersting,

i just read some reddit post about it and they said it something with the ip type.

if my ip shared with many people in my region/internet provider it detecting it as a spam or bot. (if i understood it right...)

so i tried to enter the videos with VPN and the videos working normally!

once i close the vpn it gaves me the error and the bot alert again.

From a technical point of view, the explanation is quite conceivable. Such recognition mechanisms are also used in dozens of other places, with only IPs as a database - even if these are unfortunately only very basic systems.

I don't have any problems myself with playing embedded videos on GTAForums.

But I also can't remember the last time I surfed without a VPN, it's definitely been years, might even be a decade by now.

I've gotten it on my home IP so it's not just VPNs, their detection can be a little odd.

I just thought about something else...

i downloaded few days ago more than 6k videos from some "no copyright" channel via some download manager.

(this manager converting it to mp3)

maybe my ip flagged or something like that bc of that?
