I have had this on my list for a while but haven't gotten round to trying it.

It's that red dead expansion.

I would say yes, personally I think it’s one of the best add-ons R* have done. If you like the original, yo should like this, but the combat focus is obviously different (close quarter, more opponents, but most with no range attack etc) which gives a different gameplay experience.

I recently finished a platinum guide for it here:

cant remember

It depends if you like the zombie genre.

It's the same map and characters you encounter, but the play-style is quite different since instead of occasionally shooting ranged enemies, you're now constantly running away from melee enemies and whacking them with the torch.

Personally I wasn't a big fan because some of the main things I like about the base game are now gone:

- the sunny texas ambience is replaced by much darker colors

- there aren't really any random NPC's anymore, beside hordes of zombies and characters relating to the mission you're on

- Exploration is much less relaxing, since there are hordes of zombies everywhere, and the quaint little towns are also kind of gone. They're still there but they now function as outposts to liberate from zombies, there's no more shops or friendly NPC's wandering in them

So if you're into zombies it's very fun but it's kind of a different game now don't go into it expecting more RDR in the same way TBoGT is more of GTA4.

Absolutely yes.

I will copy what I said in another thread.

Both RDR and Undead Nightmare are perfect masterpieces. Undead Nightmare is a gorgeous love letter to the horror films of 1930s-50s. It's completely unique in this medium, and somehow, despite being obviously way more over-the-top and light-hearted and incredibly less grounded and believable than the original work, it manages to preserve all the sense of deepness, consistency and art of the original game. In no way it feels like the seriousness and sobriety of the original has been outraged, but rather it feels like it has been complemented in a perfect yet completely opposed-in-tone way. Which is marvelous.
