yea. i went through it. i dont like flying planes (choppers i love), i dont like diving (sluggish controls) and the drone flying is also not really my cup of tea. so, no. i will not do Oscar anymore due to low pay out for lenghty missions. to much time spent for little cash. i do however like the smuggler missions. i will continue with them.  In the introduction Oscar said you got snacks and beer. Cant find snacks, the beer i can see but not grab. Whats that about? and not even a office Chair for the desk......

I've reserved my judgement on the missions until I've played them through a few times.

 

I think there are some interesting aspects to some of them, unfortunately there is a lot of unnecessary time sink built in to them and they aren't as solo friendly as other missions we have been getting in the recent past.

 

Like you don't need 4 Iron Mules, the scuba segment could have had proximity controller vibration, in the finale we could have been required to target the engines instead of sink thousands of rounds into the plane.

 

There's also the overall difficulty. I'm not one for wanting missions to be overly difficult, but I never had any sense that I might be in danger of failing any of the missions.

 

For me there's no long term replay value, either from the perspective of the gameplay itself or from a money making point of view.

It really isn't. Especially when you compare it to the bonus from the FIB Files and how easy some of those are to achieve, there's just no point.

 

If you're looking at it purely as a way to make money, I don't think Oscar Guzman flies again is worth the time. During the two week period you can back to back rotate the Fine Arts File and Project Breakaway if you get the very easy bonus payments I think you could run 3 of those files in around an hour for just over $600k.

 

How many players are going to be able to get through the Guzman missions in an hour? Not many. I didn't find it difficult*, but there's too many time sinks.

 

This will go into the same place in my rotation as the Dre missions, Cluckin Bell or Cayo, it's good enough  that I'll throw it in occasionally for variety, but I wouldn't play it through on repeat.

 

*Just to clarify, I didn't find the missions difficult, but I'm not getting it done, start to finish, in under an hour solo.

This was disappointing too. 

 

Fair enough, R* don't want us calling in our Raiju or Hunter, but they block specific land based weaponized vehicles from missions, why not do the same with weaponized aircraft?

I'm wondering if my game is bugged today. First I did the most wanted from my bail office. After taking out the signal jammers I was on my way to the truck on the highway when suddenly I get a "Failed  Mission" because the truck was destroyed. I was no where near it. Then I finally bought the hangar to do the new missions. I got all 4 of the packages from the plane and delivered them to the drop off. I was prompted to leave the area. As soon as I get on the bike and start driving I get a "Failed Product was Destroyed" Now I'm paranoid to do any more missions until I get to the bottom of what's going on. Anyone else experience this today? Can't say if the update from earlier today have something to do with it. Or was this a part of the script?

 

Edit: It was part of the script. I feel a bit silly but in my defense, I was already sensitive because of what happened with the most wanted just minutes earlier. Seeing "Destroyed" is much different than seeing "Passed".

There are three variants near the Vespucci Police Station. I guess different enemies on the same location.

People complain when missions are only fetch quests. People complain when are not fetch quests because they're difficult. People complain because they don't know how to fly aircraft, especially landing aircraft. There will always be complaints. 

 

I didn't care for the missions the first time through. They are starting to grow on me after my second play though. This is mostly because I couldn't get into the groove of these missions. I prefer car based missions in a game called Grand Theft Auto, they just feel right.

FWIW you'll get the hard mode 50% bonus, so you get $60 when playing hard mode. I think these missions are currently glitched because I got the full bonus when playing hard. I think the game is still thinking I collected all of the bonus objectives that I had collected on the previous playthough.

You can still use your non-weaponized vehicles. HSW vehicles make the traveling quick. I've seen reports that you can use the Vigilante too.

They are, and so it the "Fully Stocked" trophy, which keeps track of these.

The trophy restarts everytime you restart the mission string.

 

The Mogul is the only thing it wont give you 2 of automatically.

BUT to get 2 Moguls (if you have another player with u) you have 2 choices. You can either get both Moguls, which can be hard, OR you grab 2 Iron Mules, if you get 2 Iron Mules, it will also give u 2 Moguls on the Titan Job.

 

So it seems that Hard Mode is glitch, we had done the Fully Stocked trophy on our first run, so idk if that matters or not. But yea, you don't need to get any of the extra stuff, unless you just wanna waste time. But being able to get everything and the bonuses on my 60 min run, bcus of this bug, was great, lol 😸🕹️

I had 2 Moguls on my hard run. I didn't steal 2 Moguls or 2 Iron Mules, but I did steal an Iron Mule and the Custom Insurgent.

Ooooh, ok, so any 2 vehicles maybe.

Bcus twice (once as a test) we only got 1 plane and 1 chopper, zero extras, and it only had one Mogul at the end.

 

That 2nd Mogul lets u take the Titan down alot quicker.

 

But thats good to know, ill stop worrying about 2 iron mules then, just one and the insurgent. 👍

The Grunt 281

Apparently, the VEHICLE_WEAPON_MOGUL_NOSE weapon is one of those bullet based weapons with 250 base damage (the highest of any bullet as far as I know) , it has it's damage drop at 100 meters unless I somehow skipped something.

 

Maximum range is 120 meters, I imagine it's a slower firing machine gun ?

 

There is about the same but with 2 judging by it's nearly identical name (add DUAL basically) .

 

VEHICLE_WEAPON_MOGUL_TURRET and it's dual version, I'm pretty sure it's your average high-powered machine gun, 167 base damage and range of 500 meters with 0 damage drop off.

 

It does have a VehicleDamageModifier of 1.500000, the stock gun on the Insurgent Pick-Up, Technical and co. don't have this.

 

Now I'm not so sure that damage boost will work against aircrafts because the flag which allow mounted miniguns to blow up vehicles at zero body health doesn't work against them, it has 'vehicle' in the name but no detail.

Glad you've actually posted this.

 

I've looked at the picture before reading and that's definately a very good point also, but the whole thing just looks tacky in general.

 

Just stick to MISSION PASSED avoid confusion, looks better.

It makes them stronger. You no longer have to worry about the sub missiles or the jets. It allows you to focus solely on shooting the Titan. Its worth it, imo.

apparently it just comes so heavily armored you can ignore the attacks either way 🤷 lol

Ahh, that explains why my Mogul took dozens of sub missiles without getting destroyed like it's taking some rubber bullets or something.

You get Cluster bombs, better handling, dual guns on top, and machine gun for the nose of the moguls.

Dual guns sounds good, must help to damage the Titan faster.

When you collect the crate, it says what the upgrades are, and armour is not mentioned. Whether it gives some is a different matter. That said, you can ignore ALL of the attacks to the plane anyway and still get the first phase done with ease as damage is not a worry.

Yup, managed to take the Titan down with 1/3 HP remaining (no extras, just a mandatory set). Anyway, gonna try the upgrades themselves.
