My crosshair is a line

I have absolutely no clue how to fix this. Ever since I downloaded some mod that turns the crosshair into a dot, my game somehow got haunted by an evil spirit. It was fine before, but then the crosshair turned from a dot into a crosshair. I switched from Windows 7 to 10, got a brand new computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the game countless times across 3 different hard disks and SSDs and DEAR GOD IT'S STILL THERE. I tried changing the resolution and aspect ratio as well (I have a 1600x900 monitor) and it turns into a dot ONLY when the resolution is 800x600. Please, and I mean this, PLEASE, if someone out there knows how to fix this answer.
