How To Mute Pavel, Lester and other Phone Contacts during Missions

 

Not sure if I am first finding this, but there is a way to mute phone contacts so you don't have to hear the unbearable Pavel, Lester and the others screaming in your ear during Heists and stuff. The only thing is you need some type of speakers(screen ones dont work for this).

For Windows 11:

1. Right click the sound button down in the right corner, press 'Sound Settings'

2. Scroll all the way down and press ' More Sound Settings'

3. Make sure to select 'Speakers' as your 'Default Device' and right click it -> Configure Speakers

4. Pick '5.1 Surround Sound -> Next

5. I have the boxes: Center, Subwoofer and Rear Pair checked -> Next

6. Make sure 'Front Left and Right' and 'Surround Speakers are checked' -> Next - Finish

In Game: Pause -> Settings - Audio -> Output <Surround Speakers>
Front Speaker Setup: Medium
Rear Speaker Setup: Medium

You can try to verify it works by calling a phone contact such as Lester and you should not only not hear his voice but neither the voice from the phone buttons(some other sounds in the game also becomes muted but trust me it is so worth it not having Pavel SCRIIIM in your ear constantly the same things over and over.
