I still haven't gotten confirmation for the livery unlock yet. It looks so cool! 

 

I did the race last night with a few buddies. Idk if they received theirs yet.

You can upgrade the armor in LS Customs for a little extra protection.

As far as I can tell, there is only one guard at the entrance when you roll up, but there is 1 more "hiding". 

 

As soon as he aggros, the bridge fills up instantly with a swarm of them, and I assume there are guards further in the fort that come to the entrance.

 

Hard to tell when you get about 5 seconds before shot to death

edit: wohoo guys i did it! the trick was apparently to just kill yourself infront of the guards lmao 

 

I called Lester to have cops turn a blind eye, shot up the guards. A grenade bounced back on me somehow, but when I ran up to the gate again, everyone had despawned I guess, so I could just walk over to take the yuanbao

Is there something about the Penumbra FF that I don't know in these new Lunar races? I checked the leaderboards for one of the races and, apparently, the world record was achieved by someone using the Penumbra FF. I thought nothing of it. But then I played the next race and there was a level 800+ in a Penumbra FF. He would literally fly past me on the straights like a rocket. Mind you, I was in a VST-R, which has a much higher top speed, and catch up was off. It seemed like the Penumbra FF would get a much higher speed boost from the nitrous compared to other cars. 
 

Can someone confirm this? Or is it just all in my head? Or is there some sort of cheating going on here?

Those new Lunar races are utter sh*te. Terrible layout, terrible design, terrible.

And the nitrous element is stupid, there's no skill to using it. If everyone is fast, no one is fast.

for anyone wondering, you get the livery for doing the stunt race solo too.

 

i did it solo (in a public lobby, nobody joined), and got the reward claimed the day after.

Yeah, these rewards all work if you do the races solo too - as long as you do them.

If the weekly challenge is "Participate in a Stunt Race" for example, I do think it works solo yeah. "Win" objectives might not. I could be wrong.

100% correct. You can "participate" solo, but "win" only counts if there are at least two players, and you finish first.
