I really would like to do that with the peds, but i don't have to much time to do that right now, i want to focus on Tommy first, and then when if finished i'll try with the peds, or even better, if someone knows about Importing Models 3D to GTA IV, i could export the Peds from VC:DE in .obj format and .png textures to share in this topic for some help.

AI? In my opinion, i hated AIs.

My expectation to this is to use another face from Tommy Vercetti, not the VC:DE, just his High Poly clothes from there.

Sounds promising! You've already got further than I got when I tried this. I wasn't even able to rip the files without the software crashing.

 

If you're looking for a good Tommy head, the V1 Tommy model on the vcne mods and visuals is pretty good. Would you make the head a separate entity so users could swap it out? Would be good to find a 3d head model of 90's Ray Liotta and slap it on there.

I keep crashing on the mission killing the Haitian sniper  and Mr Teal mission when im using the sniper then when i fail i'm at the hospital and the textures missing then boom im crashing any suggestions on patches or update fixes guys im almost about to give up smh got mods installed btw?

Yes, it was difficult to export the models too, but i finally did it, and yes, i saw the V1 Tommy Model on the vcne mods and i think is a pretty good face model, here an image to see the difference with the picture i sent before: https://imgur.com/a/AlT40cU

 

It needs some fixes, but something like that i would like to do.

It needs some fixes, but something like that i would like to do.

Nice! Are you able to share the ped rips? Wouldn't mind taking a look and seeing about porting a few less over. The blocky characters are a little immersion breaking IMO.

Yeah for sure, who would you like to export?, some Peds? or any Main Character first?, and yes, the Blocky Characters break the inmersion, i only like the Clothes with higher poly and resolution from them.

Anybody know how to edit script.img to change the Outfit Combo from Tommy Vercetti? because RevolutionTeam unified Tommy in 1 file from Uppr, i wanted to do Tommy Vercetti from Parts, as normal, Torso, Legs, Hands, etc..., i saw that the Tommy V3 has a script.img modified to fix that, but anyone know how to do that?, or i will have to use that script.img to fix that

Cool bro i'm glad to see someone trying to make a new tommy model that's cool i had some Ideas i seen from different creators that haven't been done but is amazing whoever can make it it would be the best Tommy skins for NextGen.spacer.pngspacer.png

Have you got a link to this? Could be worth reaching out to this developer to see if they're permit us to use this for future Tommy mods.

Seems like it he has not been online since may 2024 last working on a HD CJ Model would be a start to see if a message can come through he also got a back up page called lowpoly ped

FAQ

Q: Error “Securom reported error #2000” when launching the game
A: Install all the libraries from the Redist folder, which is included in the installation archive.


Q: Endless loading screen after starting the game / texture loading issues
A:

  1. Navigate to the game folder (for example: D:\Games\GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition).
  2. Open the text file commandline.txt, delete all its contents, and insert the following:

     -availablevidmem 30
     -detailquality 31
     -nomemrestrict
     -norestrictions
     -novblank
     -renderquality 4
     -shadowdensity 4
     -shadowquality 4
     -texturequality 2
     -viewdistance 1

       3. Save the file and start the game.

               * IMPORTANT NOTE: The -availablevidmem parameter is unique to each system. If you still experience issues, you may need to adjust the value manually for your setup.
                Here are some test values:
             -availablevidmem 25
             -availablevidmem 3000
             -availablevidmem 8000

                If your available VRAM shows more than 3000 MB and a red warning appears, do not worry – that is expected.

 

Q: Error “0xc0000005”, “0xc000007b” / black screen with only the interface visible
A: Disable ENB in the launcher settings.


Q: Error when saving the game
A: Try disabling your antivirus so that the game can create the save file.


Q: The game shows a “drunken camera” effect
A: Try disabling your antivirus and restart the game.


Q: After loading the autosave following the “Demolisher” mission, the loading screen remains indefinitely.
A: Wait longer than usual (3-5 minutes) and the game should load.

 

Q: When changing launcher settings, an error window appears stating “An unexpected error occurred: Cannot access file”
A: Run the launcher as an administrator.


Q: The launcher does not start
A:

  1. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
  2. If it is already installed and the launcher still won’t start, perform the following steps in Windows: Go to Settings > Apps & features > Optional Features > More Windows Features and check the box for .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0).
  3. Click OK and restart your computer.

 

Q: Changing the language in the game does not change the voice-over / changing the language in the launcher does not affect the in-game interface language
A: The launcher only sets the language for itself and the voice-over. The game interface language is changed within the game (Settings > Display > Language).


Q: Very frequent crashes during gameplay
A: Currently, the entire community is awaiting a patch from the enthusiasts’ team that will fix many crashes (for example, crashes caused by sniper rifle shots or crashes after missions).
In the meantime, you can try to reduce crashes (there is no guarantee this will fix all of them):

  1. Enable vertical synchronization in the NVIDIA/AMD control panel (the software depends on your graphics card).
  2. Disable thread optimization in the NVIDIA/AMD control panel (the software depends on your graphics card), as the RAGE engine does not fully utilize multi-core processing.
  3. Disable vertical synchronization in the game.
  4. In the game settings, set the draw distance to 1 (this fixes issues such as texture flickering, failure to load after rapid camera changes, and crashes related to LOD conflicts).
  5. Reduce traffic in the game settings to 20%.
  6. Use any weapon except the sniper rifle, as it causes the game to crash in 90% of cases.

Unless you're planning on making the outfits customisable would it really matter if the model was one solid piece? Looks like all the peds have been done that way, would probably be easier to use Benzies Tommy mod as a base as he already chopped it back up.

HI! its the Tommy HD Version, the one who has some problems with the Normal Maps and Specular maps, i took that mod and i fix the normal and specular, so a few pictures with the new outfit:

After I take down all the gunners of the two chasing boats, and just a few seconds after the heli shows up, Vance yells "there are gunmen on that jetty". Immediately after that the game freezes amd crashes, every single time. I even tried changing my clothes. Why does this happen and how can I fix this?

Nope, the cutscenes i think is renderered with another model of Tommy, no the playerped.rpf
