EDIT: Always check the commandline file before lunching the game as it resets sometimes to deafult, with edited commandline game was running smootth for 3h+

Having the same issue with the scope on the sniper rifle.  Seems to happen when I zoom in.

I noticed the ENB folder inside "data_launch" has its own timecyc and skydome files. Should I replace those too, or just the ones in pc > data/textures?

 

I was having an issue where it was too dark at night, but it seems better with the latest update.

Ill give it a shot using USBDeview but i'm not too hopeful on that front. Just seems very niche but its not a pain in the ass to do. I'll update once i give it a shot. Thanks.

Just beat the game, and the only significant crash was the "All hand on deck" mission. I had to use trainer to get the RPG in order to shoot down the choppers and ships fast, otherwise the longer that mission drags the more likely you'll crash. Sniper rifle didn't really crash during the Haitians gang war mission, I didn't zoom all the way in.

View distance/Detail/Vehicle = 100/100/40, I was aware that this is not ideal but using vanilla vehicle.img there wasn't really any texture bug.

 

One thing though, I remember only having to complete 6 out of 9 assets in order to unlock the last 2 story missions in the original game and DE. But I ended up having to do them all (not sure if that was by design). Tips: for the Sunshine Auto just use trainer and spam the cars it's way quicker. 

Overall 9/10 experience, GTA IV gun play and combat is way better than whatever it was in DE, superior control makes the game a lot easier to play.

that's a known issue for gta 4, you need to add " -windowed -borderless  " in commandline

You need to check every location with hidden packages again. I failed two of them, but I found one even though it had been collected earlier.

i don't know if this was answered but it's standalone now and you can find a torrent on moddb but there's two pages which one is taken down by take two and one is back up which looks identical.

so far it's stayed up.

It's possible that Take-Two, by way of ESA, took a calculated risk that might strike fear and, potentially, even if temporarily, bringing financial trouble to the modders by forcing them to spend on legal fees. One of those objectives has been accomplished, and I believe that the first objective was accomplished by making the modders fear the 2nd possible outcome, even if in the end they would have all fees covered.

But I can say for sure that I wasn't involved in the 2012 version of VCR that you have.

If I recall correctly, I think I downloaded it from that one LibertyCity mod site. It was uploaded on there on "18 January 2012", and according to the archive that I have, the last time the mod was worked on was on January 15th, 2012. Your timecyc seems to be more "newer" than the archive that I have.

Please tell me someone else has run into this as well.

I just started the first Auntie Poulet mission and immediately after getting into my car I hear this song for like 15 seconds, then Tommy turns on the radio like normal and it ends. Has anyone else experienced this??

Yeah, the developers added a snippet of that song in one of the radios.

yea, I heard it too. Sucks they went for that version and not the full version that was uploaded to youtube.
