I don't think it is. The Vice City Rage timecyc 2.0 looks much better than whatever this mod is using. It's a shame it's unfinished.

Ok, I thought I would write down solutions here for several missions that may turn out to be difficult or crash the game to desktop (CTD):

 

First of all universal rules to make game more stable:

- don't run game above 60hz / fps

- reduce draw distance and detail distance to 30-35 and traffic to 50

- always run as administrator

- always make sure that commandline is ok (it can reset if you turn on/off enb in launcher)

- install vehicle patch from developers

- avoid using sniper rifle zoom

 

Specific mission tactics:

Demolition Man - use controller, learn to fly before you pick up the first bomb, clear the construction site of security guards before you pick up the first bomb. If the game crashes after planting the last bomb, don't worry - the game should be saved.

 

All Hands On Deck! - Get the RPG before starting the mission and use it to shoot down all 3 helicopters. I noticed that the probability of CTD increases the longer the mission lasts - shooting down helicopters quickly reduces mission time A LOT.

 

Death Row - When escaping from the dump with Lance, there is a possibility that he will be killed immediately by the shooter in the first chasing comet. To avoid this, escape from the dump using the flatbed parked next to the building where Lance was kept. I have no idea why but I used the sentinel twice and it always got a headshot, the 3rd time I tried flatbed and they couldn't hit it (maybe because he was sitting higher).

 

Cannon Fodder - When the game highlights the van with the drugs, do not continue the fight in front of the Haitian base, just get in and drive away. If you try to shoot all the Haitians inside the base, the game will CTD (probably some error in the mission scripting).

 

 

I'm halfway through the game for now - if I encounter any more problems in missions and find solutions, I will update this post.

Guys, i've found a solution to "Cap The Collector" issue.


So, i've finished all 6 assets (Cherry Popper, Kaufman, Malibu Club, Boatyard, Print Works, InterGlobal Studios) and i didn't got the phone call. Anyways, i decided to finished another asset which is Sunshine Autos and it triggered the phone call leading to the mission "Cap The Collector".

I don't know what version of VCR you have, I remember the mod got split after the beta release due to creative differences, and the one that had updates didn't use my timecyc as I recall (but I'm not sure because I wasn't involved in whatever was happening there). Although I did an updated timecyc for the other version of the mod that wasn't released. I released it as a stand-alone mod on gtagarage back in 2012: https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=22587

 

But I can say for sure that I wasn't involved in the 2012 version of VCR that you have.

Does anyone have a game saved after the Trojan Voodoo mission, that mission where you have to put dynamite in the Haitian base, my game stays on the loading screen in the cutscene of the base exploding and the cutscene doesn't even appear and the game closes.

Hello. I'm very impressed with this mod, it's amazing, but there are some problems that ruin joy and maybe you can help me.

 

After a while, the textures of buildings and the environment in general start to disappear. I made changes to the commandline file, but it didn't work. I have a Ryzen 2600, Radeon RX6600 8GB and 24GB RAM, so I think the computer should be able to handle this game properly. I'm playing with DXVK because it improving performance a lot. I thought it was the car mod's fault, but after removing it the problem persists. Some time after textures disappear the game often crashes. That's very frustrating. I hope you have some solution for that problem.

Martha's Mugshot has a bug which the mission will autofail as it saying you have killed the congressman after the cutscene of Candy talking to Shrub "Martha", however. I has a solution to this, simply don't use the Sparrow in the mission.

It's giving me agony that people try to play with millions of files in the root folder. There are some guys creating really good things, we'll see soon, but for now we can play.
This pack is complete and playable with the minimum necessary files and with all mods from the forum and discord, just extract and play, 
Maybe someone won't like this post, but try to understand that people want to play, while we wait for the private team
if your graphics card have support for Vulkan, just extract dxvk.zip to root folder
some things have been updated like mini project lights mod so need to update manually

So true. RPG is definitely needed to shoot down barricade boats asap for the same reason.

Please advise. I wanted to change the sound of the M60 shot to another one. Using SparkIV 0.7.0 Beta 1, I exported the WEAPONS.ivaud file from resident.rpf. Using IV Audio ToolBox v0.1.4, I replaced the M60 shot files in it: M40A1_SHOT2_L.wav, M40A1_SHOT2_R.wav. I saved WEAPONS.ivaud. Using SparkIV 0.7.0 Beta 1, I imported WEAPONS.ivaud into resident.rpf. I checked, opened the resident.rpf file in openiv: the sounds of M60 shots have changed. I launch GTA VC NE, but the sounds of M60 shots remain old. Where does the game read the old sounds from? After all, the resident.rpf file has been changed. Need help. What else should I do?

I'm trying to earn some money to buy assets and doing some firefighter, cop mission etc.. But every 7-10 level of occupations I always get crash so I cannot accumulate any money, need to do all over again. How can I solve this problem?
