Am I the only one getting random shake drunk camera? I wish I could search the thread for this but there is no search feature to search key words on this post.

I haven’t been following all the updates lately but where do we stand now on the virus situation?

 

I heard that the team posted the source code to the exe file but did anyone actually took a deep look at it and can confirm there is nothing suspect?

 

I know the launcher isn’t required to play the mod and I let Windows Defender deal with it as soon as it warned me but I would like to preserve the setup files on an external HDD (in case it disappear forever from the web) and I’m kind of reluctant to do so…

You can find it in the community mods channel. Take a look at the [VC NGE] Fixes & Improvements thread. All mods are pinned there including mine. I'll upload it properly as soon as it is completely done. Discord is easier to use for me to make updates.

i downloaded the mod on release day here on this  so its true to source

i'm facing an odd issue and i'd be grateful if someone can help me because i don't know what exactly to look up online for a fix

 

so my game runs smooth and perfect as long as i am outside but when i am in an interior or look at a specific spot of an interior or even look at an interior when im close to the building the game lags a lot, like its a pain to go up in the hotel and save my game due to the lag and im just relying on autosaves for my walkthrough, even when i approach diaz's mansion for a mission and i am looking at it the game gets very very laggy so i have to approach the mission marker while looking away from the mansion, even the cutscenes are so damn slow. rn im at 'Phenom Phen 86' but its gonna be such a pain or maybe even unplayable when i get to 'Rub Out'.

 

 this issue is with almost every interior. Is it my pc? but if it is then why is my game able to run so smoothly outside and i even completed GTA V on this pc

Mod looks beautiful even without ENB.

Is there any way to add police roadblocks at various strategic spots in Vice City, like highways, bridges - much like in GTA IV? I noticed that not a single roadblock is ever present on 3 stars and above.

Plus, the Hunters that spawn on 5+ stars always flee. I assume this is due to the lack of passengers.

Because there is no marker for me to start them. (I already completed all the phil missions)

I think it ist your PC. What are your specs? I had the same issue but my pc is a potato. Had to turn down the settings (especially resolution and shadows) now it runs fine.

 

Edit: GTA 4 is also notorious for its poor performance on PC due to suboptimal optimization.

ok now im 100% sure its your pc.

Running that on integrated graphics is always bad.

One thing you could try is upgrage your ram to dual channel (2x8GB) that improves graphics a lot when running on integrated graphics.

Anyway does lowering the settings at least help a bit? If not maybe try performance mods but I dunno there is not much you can do I guess

They really nailed the atmosphere. It's literally the classic version but with dynamic shadows and stuff. Looks miles better than the ultra HD models and textures from DE, without any artistic design and oversaturated colors

didn't try tweaking my settings much as the creator himself said to keep settings as given in the FAQ, i only disabled V-sync and anti-aliasing since i do this with every game it helps my fps and set water reflections to low, my game was running smoothly in free roam with high textures and all so i thought i should be fine, but ok i'll try changing my settings too thanks

It looks like this mod is using the timecyc I made for the Vice City Rage mod back in 2011-2012. I don't mind but usually, when you're using someone else's work, you mention the author.

Doesn't seem like it. I've downloaded the 2012 build of VCR back in 2023 (for some reason), and it seems the folks behind VCNGE made their own.

Hej Czy znaki diakrytyczne nie są związane z czcionką? Może wystarczy podmienić czcionkę by zadziałało. Pracujesz jeszcze nad tym spolszczeniem? Mi udało się naprawić skrypt zapłaty za przejazd taksówką

Can you launch the mod directly with the LaunchGTAIV executable? This is what I’m doing right now because Windows Defender got rid of the new launcher they built in.

 

I’m sure this is probably a false positive (because why would they ruin years of hard work and dedication?) but still, I’m kind of surprised no one seems to really care about this whole situation, especially because this is not the typical « game crack flagged as a virus » situation (which is common with antiviruses), here it’s only their launcher that get flagged which is kind of strange IMO…

havent tried it yet but im sure you can , its strange becuase the modders are from russia so who knows if this is some spyware thing

most cracks of pirate games are detected as virus from w. defender, since this mod depends on a cracked version of GTA IV (this was a decision took by the team after T2 took down the youtube channel) that could be the reason

 

but the only way to be 100% sure is to decompile (or maybe see the source code of the .exe in case they released it) and see what does

there is a web called "virustotal" I think I used it when H2M was released, you can try it with the exe

its an exe lanching an exe and moving data around so if you dont install to my documents it may not even function, launcher and its launch_data folder are for enb injection and removal imo bloat

Can anyone get the taxi the taxi side mission to work correctly? It doesn't pay you for individual fares and I wonder if anyone can fix it.
