Camhedz "impossible" Faces of Death award?

The "Faces of Death" award (part of Los Santos Tuners) requires 30 headshots across all scenes in Camhedz, at least that's what the in-game award requires.

 

However, when logging in to R* social club the award shows 100 headshots as the requirement. My count is at 94/100 and it's showing a gold medal instead of platinum.

 

Does anyone know a good method to get this to 100/100? There are roughly 125 enemies and I headshot them all (as far as I can tell). I tried a couple of runs and my total increased from 87 to 94 but hasn't increased since. The only thing I can think is that the headshot 'hitbox' is much smaller than the actual sprites...so one-shot-to-the-head-kill isn't always counting as a headshot?

Not impossible, the "hitbox" is pretty large... i got curious and went back to my arcade and had a go even if i already had cleared the award from way back, i realized the same as you back then that the Rockstar social page requires 100 headshots!

 

Did a check on my current standing before i went on today and page said 100 (platinum award)... did a run with my lousy aim and got my "Faces of Death" award pumped up to 103... tried a few more times and i looked where i hit them, to the right of the head it self still counted as "headshot" to the left slightly of sprite and voice yelled "headshot" even slightly on top of head seems to count... but bear in mind the voice only yells "headshot on 1st and on 3rd etc. despite having 3 succesful headshots so keep going at them i say, its 100 total across all scenes after all. I thought the actual counter was bugged but nope still counts as i got 107 after a few more runs... 

 

A few tricks, headshot everything not just the enemies... even the apes and cute "bunnies" your not supposed to kill ?! Still counts as headshot! And when the enemies throws dynamite towards you let it hit you... reflexes tells you to shoot the dynamite but it will kill all enemies on screen and you instantly loose 3-4 possible headshots right there, shoot a health drink later if needed instead.

 

And dont rush, those enemies are slow and you can easily wait until they are in position instead of shooting them wildly as quick as possible, once they are in position or halts mid screen there's still a second left to pick them off before they try to shoot you! Use it to your advantage.

 

As long as you hear "headshot!" every 3rd or so enemy you should be good... and i did it with only pistol, not any pickups or other weapons. If you still cant make the counter go up try switching physical position as there are two guns to that cabinet... one read and one blue pistol to choose from, might be worth a try as well!

 

Good luck with the award and as of today not impossible to achieve, still counting!

That's just another bugged award, check in the game, you very likely have it if you getting that high headshots.
 

I don't rely on the bugged website awards (while it is a bit nagging me too to try to get it up to 100 on the site one day), none of my award completist friends reached 100 on the website.
 

Most of the Doomsday awards are bugged on website too. All in Order II-III-IV, Criminal Mastermind II-III-IV, Supporting Role III seem to be binary by mistake, but since the DLC's release, you can only get them to 1/29, even if you unlock them, and that's the complete.
 

After Hours has a similar bug with Hot Spot and Clubber, counting up to 1/100 and 1/4, even if you completed them, and have them in game.
 

Swe_seifer's tips are really useful thou. I would only add that, shotgun was easier to farm headshots, as far as I remember.
