Weekly Event (9th Jan 2025) - Vapid Launches the Firebolt, El Strickler Rifle Becomes Available for Non-GTA+, New Transform Race Creator, New Community Series, & More!

Recommended Posts

Spider-Vice

This week and until 15th January, Vapid starts out the year by finally making the Vapid Firebolt ASP widely available to those who aren't Jodi Marshall or haven't completed their Career Progress, the special El Strickler Military Rifle becomes available to those not subscribed to GTA+, a brand-new Random Transform Race Creator is coming, alongside bonuses on Random (aka Unknown/Known) Transform Races, a new Community Series with some Gen9-created jobs, and more!

Vapid Introduces the Firebolt ASP to the Wider Audience

Firebolt, Firebolt... where have you heard this name? Ah, yes - Jodi Marshall's fancy blue vehicle that you can only drive every so often and you couldn't get your hands on unless you also had the right contacts to earn one without spending a cent. This changes this week, as Vapid launches their Firebolt ASP to everyone in Los Santos! Available from Southern San Andreas Super Autos (SSASA), and able to sport the brand-new Missile Lock-On Jammer, it's one that was built for, according to SSASA, flexing 'till you pass out.

It's an off roader, it's round, it's quick, and it can also be yours, for GTA$1,894,500.

Embrace Randomness with the New Random Transform Race Creator, Bonuses on Random Transform Races, a new Community Series, Bonuses on FIB File Challenges

This week, you also don't need to get drunk or hopelessly high on some dodgy drugs you bought over in Davis to feel like that everything is changing around you. How come you were driving a Comet Safari just then but now you're in a Panto? I mean, not that it should be cause for complaint, but how have you gotten there? Have you perhaps stumbled upon an Unknown-Unknown race? Perhaps indeed, as this week, not only you can get bonuses on confusing yourself on the race track and having to fight driving a tractor up a hill, you can also create your own with the debut of the Random Transform Race Creator.

Speaking of races, this week also marks a new Community Series, one that will be a little different than usual - Los Santos residents on Gen9 consoles will have a brand-new showcase of jobs made on Gen9 with higher prop limits and HSW features, whilst those on Gen8 and PC will get a regular assortment of previously featured races. All of this on triple the bonus as always.

Jodi Marshall is also still on a wave of generosity, though I'd argue a little less than last time. Perform challenges in FIB Files and earn twice the cash for successfully completing them - nothing like a job well done, or rather, exceedingly well done:

  • 2x GTA$ for FIB File Mission Challenges
  • 3x GTA$ and RP on the Community Series
  • Debut of the new Transform Race Creator
  • 2x GTA$ and RP on Random (Unknown-Unknown and Known-Unknown) Races

If you've been jonesing on that El Strickler signature weapon, everyone on Gen9 consoles can also get it from the Gun Van, which will be permanently blipped on the map for the next four weeks.

Miscellaneous

FIB Priority File

Every week, Jodi Marshall finds a special opportunity for those enrolled in her machinations at Lester's old Garment Factory. They pay better, and you still stop whatever CEO, mogul or military outfit from doing their thing! The current active Priority FIB file is The Project Breakaway File.

Salvage Yard Vehicles & Robberies

Each week, Jamal and Yusuf Amir find some brand-new vehicles for you to source for your Chop Shop, and for Jamal to perhaps plaster all over Snapmatic and other social media. This week, check out the following propositions:

  • The Cargo Ship Robbery: Bravado Greenwood

  • The Gangbanger Robbery: Albany Roosevelt Valor

  • The Duggan Robbery: Pegassi Zentorno

The Diamond Casino & Resort Lucky Wheel

This week at The Diamond... no sign of the Amirs? Although robberies are still conducted on the daily at the Casino, one less thing to worry about is always a good thing, and a sense of normalcy going into the new year is better than everything else. New Year means new gamblers and also everything staying as is - Lauren is still drinking too much at the bar, and everyone else is still screaming at the Wheel, the slot machines, and the inside track...

The Lucky Wheel meanwhile is right there where it always is, and all you have to do is perform and pre-spinning rituals you may have, or perhaps travel back in time to get a reading from Madam Nazar, for a chance to win a Declasse Impaler LX.

Los Santos Car Meet Prize Ride

Extra cash on races that can include some of Hao's handiwork? This must mean an increase in clientele at the LS Car Meet, and opinions on this are probably a little mixed depending on who you ask! Mimi and Hao are probably excited at seeing new people and potentially gaining new memberships, everyone else just wants to be in peace and do their own thing. More people interested in LS car culture is never a bad thing if it happens, so there's that.

Meanwhile, on top of the Slamtruck is an off-roader, equally welcome at the Car Meet, and all you have to do is to be ok at racing:

  • Place Top 3 in the LS Car Meet Series for 2 days in a row to win the Vapid Caracara 4x4

For testing and/or buying this week:

  • Bravado Verlierer (R)

  • Coil Raiden (also 30% off) (R)

  • LCC Avarus (R)

Hao's Special Works Premium Test Ride (PlayStation 5/Xbox Series):

  • Vapid Firebolt ASP

Premium Deluxe Motorsport

  • Western Rat Bike (R)
  • LCC Innovation (R)
  • Dewbauchee Rapid GT Cabrio (R)
  • Benefactor XLS (also 50% off) (R)
  • Dewbauchee Massacro (also 50% off) (R)

Luxury Autos

  • Vapid Firebolt ASP
  • Benefactor Vorschlaghammer

A chance of a free Caracara on the car meet is a sweet deal, to add another Imani™ ride to my roster.

And finally a new non-cop car!

2x on BONUSES? Bruh, whatever ... at least it should pay decently. Should be at 70-80 million by next week.

Cop outfits, is it just me or do you get the feeling that these cop outfits are going to be saved for the very very very very last week before the next DLC update in the summer? I swear they're not gonna give us those, bit of a p*sstake if you ask me. Dumped the cars but hold the outfits .... I know I sound ridiculous but I'm pretty annoyed lol. I just want to look the part, despite the garbage belt.

Crap week for me tbh, the bonuses on FIB files might as well be permanent because it seems we're just gonna get that for the next 2 months.

Yay, up to a whole 50K extra.

You know, thinking about it, I don't think we should expect the actual files ever becoming 2x money. I mean, how often has Salvage Yard robberies been doubled?

I'll be getting that Firebolt, though. It's intrigued me.

Something else for Hao to murder. I'll buy it but I don't think I need a rocket fast pick up truck in my life. Maybe if I had a lawn-mowing business I could mow more lawns in one day I dunno. If it's free with plus I'll Hao it up.

A week of collecting a mil a day in passive income, like every other week. The nighclub and maxed agency pour money all over you. Yum.

It’s not as obnoxious as some of the HSW versions, but yeah, I’ll be buying a stock version.  the one I got at the car meet was already HSW upgraded but it also has a Yankton plate so I have to keep it for now until I get tight on space again. It’s a shame it’s in off road, they should make a Tuners like class for trucks where they remain available in their original classes (SUV, off-road, muscle) but are also available in a Trucks class. Maybe even give them all upgraded versions where you can lift/lower ride height more appropriately and choose wheel size and fitment… lol, that’s lofty reading it back to myself.

Sweet I'll try it, thanks. I liked driving Jodi's it's nice. I stuck all my pick-ups in the garment factory so I pretty much have to buy the truck that belongs to that update lol or I'm not a serious player.

I feel ya. I have a garage for Vapid trucks exclusively and it’s full now with no duplicates of the same car. I have the Expedition in there too but that counts IMO even though it’s technically a SUV.

I've had the lot but dumped 75% of my vehicle collection and kept my must haves, so I've only got 7 street trucks so they fit in the factory nicely. Liveried trucks I keep in the office garages. Damn now you got me hyped for this truck lol.

Why would I need the Firebolt ASP? It's just a normal truck, very redundant of them to add another one of those...

(checks on yootoob: it has a beautiful two tone retro livery similar to the one on my Slamvan Custom)

... ok, I'll definitely buy one.

The worst part is, we've got nothing but bonuses on the FIB Files for quite literally an entire month.

December 10th - 3X GTA$ on FIB File Mission Challenges (GTA+ through January 8th).
December 19th - Doubled Garment Factory passive income. (I know it's not directly of FILES but GTA+ above is).
January 2nd - 3x Bonuses for Associates (plus some more bonuses for hitting enough income).
January 9th - 2x GTA$ for FIB File Mission Challenges.

Not only have we had these bonuses, there's also the priority files.

I truly appreciate these bonuses but ... come on! I'm getting worn out of playing these files, I'd rather bonuses on Nightclub sales or cargo warehouse ... heck even VINCENT with UNIFORMS.
