I mean, if they want to make the free roam as dynamic and varied as possible, including as many animals as they can, I don't see why horses should be excluded. At the same time I kinda understand those who only want them in RDR - but like, you can ride horses in 2024 too not just 1899 so :sadkek:

I, too, still haven't processed 2025.

Well this is the whole point, the two games are so similar in terms of their set up - The HUD, saving game by sleeping, mission markers as letters on the mini map, free roaming etc. List goes on - Horses play a massive part in separating the two games. The moment you bring horses into GTA, it would kinda take away from the uniqueness of RDR IMO.

i'm pretty sure the uniqueness stems from the time period... not just because of dem horsies

RDR is wholly different in it's own way - atmosphere, tone of the story, different pacing to the combat, RDR2 with survival elements, horses being treated as characters and much more.

Also I mean R* release a game once a decade at this point lol, IMO I think horses in VI would be just fine and not take anything away from another game.

Obviously there’s other factors but horses are an integral part of the game.

We all know Rockstar would be crazy enough to add horses to VI if they were just to appear in one barn in the entire game. They're just animals, idk what all the fuss is about.

PETA problems because we know what’s gonna go down…. Surprised they got away with the dogs and cats in V lol

and having horses in GTA would ruin RDR for you in these integral parts?

Not sure why people wouldn't want horses? Do you want areas outside of the city to only have pigs, chickens, cows and deer (for the most part)

As long as most missions that require riding them are side content or challanges, and not main story (maybe 1 or 2 main missions tops) what's the issue?

I've realized more and more rural areas outside of my city have stables and stud farms with horses, it's cool seeing them when you drive in the countryside.

In my defence, GTA VI may be set in 2024 :sadkek:

yes I did forget for a sec we're in 2025

I've always felt GTA IV should have taken place in Fall 2007, especially since the game got delayed to April 2008. But it took place in 2008 and you can tell by the trees, it was indeed Fall season.

Maybe GTA VI will take place in Summer of 2025 though? Since it's coming out in the Fall (as of now)

Is this comment a joke!? Nobody gives a f*ck about PETA, all they do is make a dumb comment about a game from time to time and it gets instantly forgotten.

I really wonder if trailer 2 is ready, maybe it's not

Or about to be ready

As is repeated many times, there's a lot more to the marketing of a GTA game than trailers so yes they might indeed not have a trailer at all because we could be getting all sorts of other things lol

This is a very 2000's-coded comment  There are a lot of modern, high fidelity games with killable animals out there, GTA VI wouldn't be a problem, like RDR2 wasn't. Personally I avoid killing them unless I have to, or whilst hunting in RDR2, but like this hasn't really been a huge controversy for a long time now.

They are eating the dogs, the cats

cool and collected

All that talk about horses, consider me hyped AF! Now I want to ride along vice beach and kick smartphones out of people's hands when they do selfies.

Trailers are often uncomfortably finished almost last minute lol I have reason to doubt they aim far for this kind of releases/posts sometimes the range from deciding a date to said date is short.
Basically it's like:

  1. "Ok we need a trailer"
  2. Putting structure of trailer on paper so they know what to record and how
  3. Recording trailer in-game
  4. Editing and rendering
  5. Review and approval
  6. Release

All within a relatively short time frame, it can happen that between point 1 and point 2 there's more time passing than usual but the moment they get to work it goes very fast because it's assumed they have the material to work with.
And while all this happens there's all the things happening on the side like website updates, social media posting, and I imagine a bunch of internal stuff too

Genuine (but dumb) question: What else can we get before Trailer 2 besides Screenshots? What did R* released between Trailer 1 and 2 on their previous games besides screenshots?

Artwork, viral marketing such as that one Epsilon Program account on Twitter in 2012, press previews (happened before Trailer 2 for GTA V), cover art reveal, and a lot more things lol

PredatorFTW

I wonder if GTA VI willl have it's own version of this:
GTA 4 - Tips & Tricks - How to find the Sultan RS

A unique vehicle (or horse :kekw:) that is only found in 1 specific location on the map, slightly hidden away.

They could absolutely do something like this tbh :sadkek: Little clips of GTA VI on IRL social media like Tiktok or IG reels.

At least yellow & white car near the Ocean View Hotel.

As I already said in my topic about the presence of horses in GTA VI, I emphasize once again how horses would positively impact the immersion, gameplay and story of the game and having them in the game could attract fans of the RDR franchise who are not familiar with the GTA franchise. Seeing many trees close together and trails may indicate the need for a more practical and effective form of transportation, as opposed to larger vehicles, to traverse these difficult to access areas, and horses would come into play. Another way to make horses useful is that the terrain on the map in some remote areas is steep, making exploration with most vehicles difficult, and horses can offer a slight advantage in robbery missions as they are not easily tracked. Turfing could be implemented to earn extra money and purchasing horses could give us a way to do business.

I could spend hours talking about how crazy it would be to have horses in GTA VI and I don't understand this rejection of the implementation of horses in the GTA franchise. I would only agree if Rockstar didn't have experience with horses, but look at RDR2! Honestly, I don't understand this content exclusivity complex in franchises.

Horses are cool, but I prefer bicycles.:sadkek:

I understand peoples reasons for being cautious to horses in GTA but yea I personally want really detailed, realistic feeling and immersive worlds from R* and if horses are common in Florida (and people have said they are) I'm supportive of the idea of them being in there. The natural ecosystem in RDR2 was incredible and one of the lowkey things I'm really looking forward to see again in GTA VI so yea... if horses are part of that in Florida in real life then there's no reason they shouldn't be in GTA VI.

As I said earlier I think holding stuff back cause they're in another R* franchise is these days not something I'm really keen on cause yea they release one game per decade now lol.
