Doesn't look like Lucia to me.

I even think the one in the mask could be a woman too...

Also, the guy in the back looks exactly the same as the guy from "High Rollerz Lifesty

Fat guy looks so real.

Personally I'm not really sure the T2 February conference is gonna bring us any GTA VI news, maybe V Gen9 on PC or even nothing. I feel like we're in for an extra month or two of wait.

When is the next one after February ?

I think there's another one before Fiscal Year 2025 ends in March 31, if I'm not mistaken.

Then the regular ones in May, August and November.

It isn't the exact same outfit, but it looks close enough for comparison purposes.

Now the white guy with the skull mask, that one I'm 100% sure he isn't Jason, Jason's arm is bigger, the skin tone is a little darker and it's way more hairy.

good point, Jason has been in the sun to much already

Can someone explain why the trees in the background are hard to see because of some sort of fog or dust-storm or whatever?

the trees cant be much further away than 100m.

or is it because they dont want the game to use up too much CPU/GPU, so it can be spend on other stuff.

It's probably just the sun casting that light like that, I think there are probably some fake lights on Lucia and Jason here to counter the effect so they're more clear and visible, not to mention that a lot of times Rockstar does this to hide stuff away, it could simply be that.

That shot looks similar to what's happening in RDR2's trailers:

On a related note: I have never seen this trailer  Interesting, I liked it, so I guess I have seen it at some point, I totally forgot about it lol.

When I looked up the "awards" trailer I was thinking for this one:

the camera is placed inside of the store, and the angle of the sun is casting rays outside the door. That’s my approximation atleast

I should ban everyone who reacted with a KEKW to that thinly-veiled anti-semitic "meme" that I just removed at this point. I'm not, but be better and don't make me remind people of the forum rules and what's allowed and not here - only one person reported it. OP is getting canned for it because they've made other posts with homophobia, among other things, in them.

Well this type of effect doesn't help with performance, it incurs a performance cost. The draw distance isn't different when it's foggy. The fog can be used to hide things, and bits of fog along with trees and some elevation are probably how Vice City and Port Gellhorn will be hidden from direct view of each other at ground level. It's also an aesthetic choice, since it creates a more dramatic separation between foreground and background, which is probably why they chose to have a lot of fog in that shot. As said earlier, that was a frequent stylistic choice in the RDR2 trailers. But the trailer for GTA VI showcases a number of weather conditions and times of day that make it pretty clear visibility isn't just constantly limited.

I wonder how heavy rainy weather will look like, with palm trees trembling on strong winds possibly. They could do so much with the weather patterns.

If Rockstar ever decides to break Trailer 2 out of jail, maybe we can see some rain in it.

I definitely think their should be a heist during a hurricane mission

I would like more acknowledgement of the rest of the U.S.A. in this game. Naming locations even if we don't visit them would be nice. It was weird seeing band t-shirts and posters in V and IV and they all reference the same five cities.

the next earnings call would be in May most likely

I don't see R* showing anything in march, april that they wouldn't of done before the Feb.6 call

Correct, May would be the next earnings call followed by August/September and then November.

It wouldn't stop Rockstar from announcing a delay after the February call as T2 would likely hold an emergency call to share future bookings and take questions if a such an event did happen. Again, just my personal opinion but if we make it to that February call with no VI news then I feel like Rockstar isn't so confident on the game making it this year and won't want to announce a delay until later on in the spring.

Looks like other game publishers hope for a 100$ price tag on gta6 so they can follow

I expected a ~100$ price for the new gta, but i cant see people pay 100bucks for other games

I've seen this story, it's from an industry analyst who have over the past few years shown time and time again that they genuinely haven't got a clue. They've said x/y/z is dead and a/b/c is the future only to be proven wrong again and again.

I do think R* could charge $100 for GTA VI and get away with it just about but I don't think there's really anyone else that can except perhaps Call of Duty and maybe some sports titles (because of a lack of alternatives), though I still think they'd lose day 1 sales. If anyone else tries it day 1 sales will tank and people will wait for sales, which ultimately means poorer sales overall as launch day FOMO is still a massive part of 99% games success.

In any case, given the overall resistance to GaaS, monetisation and various popular publisher tricks if they continue to push those into games while also raising the price of games officially AGAIN then yea... good luck to those publishers cause they'll need it. I'd stop buying 80-90% of games day 1 of they cost £90-£100, and any that have GaaS and other sh*te forced in would be a straight nope.

It might've made sense for games to keep raising their prices if wages had increased in proportion to inflation. The problem now is that there's already only so many games people can buy at their budget, and they want to still be able to sell games to a wide audience, not just wealthy enthusiasts.

Honestly, if I can’t even leave a simple KEKW reaction here, I’m starting to question why I’m still here. I get that this forum isn’t meant to be political or controversial, but there’s no need to specifically call out or say things like, “I should ban all these people.” Just ignoring stuff like that would make things much better.

Lately, I’ve noticed the negativity on this forum has been increasing, and part of that seems to come from the constant back-and-forth or comments like those from spider.  I’m not blaming anyone in particular, but if it keeps going in the direction of “I don’t like this, so I’m banning these people” or just constant negativity, this isn’t the kind of environment I want to be part of.

I just needed to get this off my chest. That’s all.

I'm personally all for 'going in the direction of' banning people who post homophobic or antisemitic content here

Funny how they never want to follow Rockstar quality standards, huh? $100 is A LOT, and the only reason I would consider paying that is because I know the game will last at least 10 years.

I believe you may be taking the hyperbole in my post to prove a point a little too seriously.

At the same time, because of how things are online in general, we're having record levels of newer (and some older) members that post hate speech and other things we've always banned for, which is also why you may have seen a handful of people be banned in the past few months/year. Some of those things have been horrid in the past and people have put positive reactions in them, which warranted a warning just like this. We don't tolerate anti-semitism or any jokes that are just thinly-veiled bigotry or racism like the one that was removed, so I made a hyperbolic statement just to make the point we should all strive to be a community that is healthier than the rest of social media.

Some of the alleged (not really any, honestly, but you've mentioned it a bunch of times) animosity exists for a reason, record numbers of members posting offensive bullsh*t every so often.

This may not apply to you and is not directed at you, but in the face of the situation I'll add this - I've said this before, if "you're" (someone) of the opinion that GTAF is "too woke" or whatever other descriptor, you can, indeed, leave.

Another reminder from our forum rules - if you have an issue with moderation, bring it to forum support rather than derailing a thread. :)

I think game sales would genuinely just f*cking crater immediately for anything but GTA VI, and even that would take a heavy hit. Even the sportsgame and CoD guys would probably just wait for a black friday sale or something. People have a certain tolerance to bullsh*t as long as it's packaged right, and I think this would just bypass all those tolerances and go straight to anger.

If you were to leave a KEKW reaction on this post nothing would happen. It's almost like context matters.
