Playstation 6 and next generation Xbox will be release in 2027... Nvidia will release their new stuff later this year... I dont want to be the dark horse in the house, but probably GTAVI and other games will be delayed to 2026. AI is coming to the game industry, but it will take some extra time, as always.

playstation is slated for late 2028 per insomniac files, the xbox may release earlier however. 

 

A delay this long is pure nonsense

The part that VI may only release next year may be true, but the PS6 in 2027? After Jim Ryan f*cked Sony, pushing most of its studios into GaaS only for half of them to flop/get cancelled? Sony can't afford going into the next gen without any game released alongside the PS6, I really think it will only be released in 2028 now.

 

I mean... I know that Polyphony Digital may have Gran Turismo 8 well underway, but then what? A single game can't carry a brand new console alone.

If GTA VI is delayed until next year (I still don't believe that will happen though), it'll purely be because of polishing reasons, not because of other tech and AI crap.

Yeah, the game is almost done, even if it gets delayed to March-May 2026, I still think it's going to get content locked this year still, with only polishing left to do in the first months of next year.

it makes you think if Rockstar didn't waste the biking gang archetype with TLAD, they would of done a full game with that theme.

 

Bonnie and Clyde always seemed like a natural criminal literary achetype to explore in a GTA game. I just never thought Rockstar would "pull the trigger" on that concept, but alas they did

I don't think Take-Two will allow Rockstar to stay quiet for much longer, they got investors who wants to know what is going on with their money.

i agree,.....i just don't think take two would ever make a delay announcement. they would make rockstar make that official. The only thing i can see them doing is re-iterating the fall 2025 window

Yeah, delay or not, we'll be hearing from Rockstar about VI either now in February or in March, one will have the Earnings Call (February 6) and the other one is when Fiscal Year 2025 ends (March 31), two extremely important dates.

i also saw something about when V and RDR2 its release dates were announced, so maybe even thursday january the 30th.

Considering a ideal scenario that VI doesn't get delayed, Rockstar probably will announce its release date in the following days.

The next one is in May, but there's another sort of Earnings Call in March before the Fiscal Year ends iirc.

If it's delayed then... whatever but I am just thinking how crazy it would be if they reiterated on the fall 2025 release in February, I don't think I am gonna be able to grasp the idea that this freaking thing would be in our hands by the end of the year.

Thank god they didn't. It's such a niche-subject that I don't think it would fit a fully fleshed out GTA game.
