Free aiming on controller isn't as easy as on keyboard and mouse, but it's nowhere near as hard as some people says it is, it used to be much harder in the past though, I give them that, specially in the PS2/Xbox.

Also genuinely Rockstar's games feel much better in that regard than others. I don't know what it is exactly, maybe it could be tweaked in the settings, but I hate the controller aiming in something like Uncharted 4. In GTAV, I can easily snipe maf*ckers, land headshots, clear rooms quickly, kill pursuing NPC drivers etc. on free aim (I've genuinely once been accused of cheating when sniping with a controller on PC :kekw:, though I suspect that was probably just some kid with little experience). Maybe it's just an experience thing because I've played so god damn much of the GTAs and RDR2, but even after taking a break for months if not upwards of a year, it still only takes me a couple minutes max to get back into the groove of shooting in Online.

Unfortunately, yes. R* still have the PC version of E&E to announce, and probably the RDR2 version for Switch 2, which is expected to be announced really soon, so yeah, it's still early because they haven't even announced those things.

But we're on the same boat, I would kill for a VI trailer right now, but I don't think we'll see anything of it until those things I mentioned are out of queue. But hey, as I said to Jason yesterday, 9 out of 10 things I say here are probably wrong, so don't take me too serious.

Oh boy.. people are going to start to think that this is another treasure hunt or countdown like the '27' thing, aren't they? :starekek:

In regards to the E&E PC version, I could actually see that happening after GTA VI news. Just bundle it with an Online update on all platforms to include a new promotional treasure hunt for VI or something, put that into the E&E PC announcement, and use that hype to increase Online players again. After all, E&E PC is likely going to be a free update, so there's not that much financial incentive for them in it besides introducing GTA+ to PC.

Man, if you're a good free aim player in RDR2 using a controller, you're ready for anything lol.

I still remember a shootout I did in Cornwall Kerosene & Tar with a $1.500 bounty on my head, when the lawmen approached me from the woods north of the factory, I landed a headshot in one of them with a improved arrow from so far away that I never forgot that moment ever since, it was one of the most legendary gaming moments of my life lmao.

And about the controllers, yeah, I don't have any problem with the control scheme in any Rockstar game I played so far, what I think RDR2 suffers from the most is the input lag and the reticle sway, it doesn't make the game hard or anything, for the reasons I already explained yesterday, but I still hope that VI does better with both of these issues.

I got a triple kill with a sniper on GTAO back on PS3 from such a long distance the player models hadn't actually loaded in :kekw:

It's not even the control schemes for me, it's just the way aiming feels. A lot of games feel like they keep moving even when you've stopped moving the stick. Or move the reticle way too much when you just nudge the stick. Like I said, might be something I could tweak in the settings with deadzones and sensitivity and stuff, but GTA and RDR2 just feel good out of the box.

PC E&E doesn't even need it's own seperate announcement

And RDR2 on the switch doesn't even have to be announced in a community newswire bcuz it will be announced by nintendo themselves

I got a sniper kill in GTAO back in 2014 when I still was a kid, I was in that heliport that we can buy for Michael and Franklin (in Story Mode) and the other player was all the way at the top of that parking building in front of the Los Santos International Airport, but I heard shomewhere that the Heavy Sniper bullet has infinite range, and when the other player is so far away from us like that the objects near him fails to stop the bullet because it loses collision or some sh*t, so that probably was a helping factor with that kill lol.

I get what you mean about the sensitivity, in other games it feels either too sluggish or too loose, in GTA5 and RDR2 it feels just right, although in RDR2 I use the highest sensitivity because originally it feels kinda slow for my taste, while in GTA5 it already feels great at 50%.

Who am I to tell Rockstar which of their releases NEEDS an announcement or not, lol. But hey, if you're saying it, I won't argue :kekw:

If they ever make a newswire article about PC E&E I would hope they would mention VI in the same article

I wonder for how much longer Rockstar plan to keep milking this game until they actually give us what we want, which is VI, I know that business is business but give me a break...

A second PC release of the same game, then what's next? GTA5 E&E for Switch 2? It always feels like there's something for Rockstar to do before the path is finally free for VI.

I know that I may sound a little over the edge due to the fact that we haven't heard anything about VI for way more than a entire year by now, but who wouldn't? I seriously hope that they have something for us around this next earnings call, because this is getting ridiculous already.

I wouldn't be surprised if they use the hype and increased attention of the VI marketing to get more eyes on their ports this year. E&E PC, RDR2 and V on Switch 2, GTA4 on Switch 2, maybe?

Knowing how things are, I somehow don't doubt this is literally what's gonna happen.

I've felt like this since september last year, and people insisted on giving me cringe reactions back in the day.. This whole thing is weird, but what else can we do besides waiting? We're at their will wether we like it or not, and we'll only see a grain of salt about the game when they feel like it.

I don't know how all of this works, I never followed a R* release this close before, but I can't imagine a plausible reason why they haven't posted a single screenshot to keep things going on, if anyone could care to explain me that, I'm down for it, because the way I see it, It can't be that hard to post a few screenshots every now and then (even with all the business involved around it).

I actually used to believe this theory myself, but thinking through it, if Rockstar was indeed using VI to grab attention to their current products they would've posted Trailer 2 in December right before Agents of Sabotage, just like they posted Trailer 1 right before The Chop Shop.

I'm not discarding it 100% though, you still have a very good point there, because even though Rockstar haven't posted Trailer 2 yet, players are more and more thirsty for their products.

It could be to build hype. Now imagine, if we got new screenshots and stuff every month. That’d be a bit overwhelming and we’d know everything about the game by the time it releases.

This silence keeps people talking about the game, I mean just look at all the people saying the game is gonna get delayed because they haven’t shared anything in such a long time. It’s just free marketing and rockstar is banking off it, until they are ready to show some more stuff.

I'm seeing several Sony studios posting statements regarding the LA fires. While Rockstar is not owned by Sony, I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar does the same in the next few hours.

Remember that they probably have someone related to the studio affected by the fires and LA is LS, a city closely identified with their biggest game and business model.

I have no doubt that this is also why they took a break from social media these days...

To be honest, no reason to take days off social media just because a fire is happening in one of the cities in the US. I know, the GTAO event probably didn’t come because of that firebolt suv and bad timing, but I don’t think they are staying silent because of that. They were still posting when the hurricane was ravaging through Florida.

Also, we didn’t get a RDRO event today, because it’s an extended one

I'm not saying we should get new screenshots and stuff every month, but it's been 407 days since trailer 1 released, I'm sure two waves of screenshots during that time wouldn't have hurt the game's marketing.

But yeah, as much as it's painful, this "marketing" or the lack of it, works.

Yeah, people usually react negatively when someone say something that they don't like, even if it turns out to be true eventually, even I am guilty of making fun of people who said that we wouldn't get Trailer 2 last year and look at us now...

Man... even I don't have a clue about why they're behaving like this, this kind of drought is new to me and I was here for both GTA5 and RDR2 back then, it never was this extreme before.

I don't think they'd pull any GTA VI marketing around too drastically to match up with other releases. VI is still the main thing, after all. The Chop Shop situation was really more of an accident that proved the concept. But if they're e.g. planning to release both Trailer 2 and PC E&E around February/March, they might pull them a little closer together, just nudging each of them a week or two. The only way I'd see them fully lining things up rather than just taking advantage of the hopefully busy marketing schedule is if there's any VI related stuff in the release, e.g. a promotional treasure hunt coming to Online the same time as E&E PC or V on Switch 2.

Yeah, it's like I said, I'm not 100% sold on this idea of Rockstar using VI to hype their other releases because they haven't repeated the same strategy of releasing another trailer of it right before a GTAO update again, which probably was just a coincidence back in 2023 as you said.

But if Rockstar is planning to release VI's Trailer 2 right before GTA5 E&E for PC to hype it, so be it, let's take advantage of the situation for once.

Yeah im starting to think every weapon will be shown realistically on your body

handguns will be concealed...long guns on back

melee weapons you will need a bookbag or duffel bag which is shown in the leaks (also grenades, explosives etc.)

and you probably will be able to carry another long gun in your off hand like MP 3 and RDR 2

The duffel bag is shown two times. The first, it's explicitly labeled LOOT BAG, and the second time it's used as a loot bag. It's not for guns.

I think this is my least favourite misconception that keeps popping up.

Hope so. Hope you can actually pull your pistol from your clothing or ankle.

As many game studios based in Los Angeles are coming forward saying that they were affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires in some way, I think mostly employees being evacuated or worse as studios themselves aren't located in the outskirts where residential areas are.
I assume Rockstar is just being quite for the same reason, although development was not halted of course, PR might have stopped temporarily

GTA VCS is definitely the most underappreciated GTA, at least for what it is and what it set out to do.

It deserves a top 3 spot in the GTA series in my book.

it worked pretty well for them with trailer 1 and 2023 gtao winter dlc. why wouldnt they do it for other stuff as well (summer dlc at least) i mean they have to marked both anyway

I predict the following:

At the end of january or during the february conference call they reveal the release date for GTA VI and GTA V E&E for PC, followed by a trailer and release of the E&E version for PC, then shortly after (maybe 1 or two months) they are releasing trailer 2 for GTA VI.
