And obviously Borderlands is a Take2 thing too so they'd actually know when VI is coming, this isn't just some random publisher guessing. I'd say VI now seems to be semi confirmed for around late October because of this news. Just like with R*s last mainline game (RDR2)

i really hope they let us customize our guns like in rdr 2 with different grips, ammo types, paintjobs etc. I really want to make my gun my own. I loved rocking an all black and an all white with gold engravings revolvers in rdr 2

I think that'll definitely be a thing. I'd love for them to make it similar to RDR 2 where you can actually see the weapons you have holstered but then again GTA VI has a larger scale of weapons so that might be hard for them to implement from a realism perspective.

With the Borderlands 2 announcement today, I personally have gained a bit of confidence that GTA VI is not getting delayed.

 

If the alteration of Borderlands 2 release is due to GTA VI, it means that Rockstar and Take 2 have internally probably settled on a release date for GTA 6.

 

Rockstar in the past have usually announced their delays 5ish months from release. We're at that point basically right now.

 

If they're making space for Borderlands 2 due to GTA VI then they must have re-assessed development and have confidence that they're gonna release in October (most likely October or it could release November).

 

Obviously we'll have some official confirmation on May 15th but all in all, the doubts are kinda slowing going away regarding the game releasing in Fall.

If you know, what song will it be in the game's second trailer and it's a big if you do, can you tell us what exact year it is from, or at least the part of the decade of 1990's is it from (like it's early 1990's or mid 1990's or late 1990's), I very highly doubt you are telling the truth, but I want to see if you answer back if you can.

 

OOPS, I just reread it and saw the ('I won't be answering any questions') in the post, but it was worth a shot.

You're right, my bad, I thought it was Thursday right now (AEST) because it's been a strange week. Two days is the minimum amount of time for a prior announcement.

I took screenshots at every step in RDR2, such a gorgeous game.

 

I can’t wait to see that same level of details in GTA 6. In RDR2, the towns are packed with an insane number of objects and NPCs, and there’s always something happening on the streets.

 

After watching the first trailer, I’m more and more convinced that the crowd density shown will actually be in the game (maybe slightly toned down), because they’ve already pulled it off in their previous game and on last-gen consoles.

It's great to see this place reinvigorated by yesterday's Borderlands 4 news, but don't you all go dooming again in two days' time.

With Borderlands this week, and Mafia the next, I don't think we'll get anything before the 12th.

This one makes the most sense, 12th ~ 14th is that perfect sweetspot right before the investor's call. Even if Borderlands and GTA are completely different genres with different playerbases, releasing the GTA VI trailer earlier than Borderlands or Mafia (or just right next to each other) would eat up a lot of attention from those other games.

Looks crazy! But its for sure the PC version isnt it? Cant remember if it looks that good on PS4.

It's wild just how ready everyone is for the news to finally drop.

Across the internet and the industry, yesterday's Borderlands 4 news spawned more speculation on its GTA VI implications than actual discourse on Borderlands 4. Every top comment is about GTA VI. Serious outlets like Forbes and IGN are reporting on it with articles titled: 'Borderlands 4' Just Moved Its Release Date, Raising' GTA 6' Questions and Borderlands 4 Launch Brought Forward by 11 Days — What Could It Mean for the GTA 6 Release Date?.

It's definitely smart for Take-Two to keep GTA VI news for last, as it will evidently suck up all the air out of the room when it does finally drop. But there's such pressure built up at this point that GTA VI is sucking out all the air regardless of whether the news is actually about it. I doubt that people behind Borderlands 4 are happy with the way yesterday's announcement went. Where their new game wasn't the focus of the news about their new game. A similar thing happened last week with Ghost of Yotei.

The timing is right, and everyone is more than ready. The news feels inevitable, and I think the chances of the May investors' call passing with no news are close to zero.
