Let me give you a simple example.

 

You talked with a girl to go on a date with her, she agreed, and then when you got there you waited 1, 2, 3 hours and nothing, she fooled you.

 

In this situatuon, do you really need her to call you saying that she fooled you? You was there and she wasn't, she didn't even call you saying that something urgent happened out of nowhere and she couldn't be there.

 

It's this simple, Rockstar always starts marketing their games 6 months before the release at the very least, sometimes even a full year before the release, we're already going into the "allegedly" 5 months before VI's release period, not even 6 anymore, what makes you think that if May goes by without news is because everything still is on track for 2025? Soon we're going to reach the 4 months to release period, without Trailer 2, screenshots, artworks, previews, NOTHING... it really is this simple.

It's amazing how he still puts him self front and centre for Gearbox and Borderlands despite the fact the whole industry thinks he's a giant c*nt.

 

As a huge fan of BL it makes it impossible to watch any of the interviews or shows about the games in the past.

They'd still have the August call. It was deflating to see last night the former Rockstar dev talk about GTAIVs delay from October 2007 was made in July the same year so he was looking forward to the August call to see if GTAVI is coming this fall or not.

 

Of course it's the same former dev who also said that if Rockstar didn't know by May if the game would make it or not as planned it would be delayed so who knows. lol

The logic is the same though, isn't it? Saying nothing in May, only to come back in August announcing the delay, VI won't have a 2 months marketing period (August-October).

 

Reason why I said that no news now in May = 2026.

I never went outside of the Northeast to be honest, I live in Pernambuco, the only states I visited until now were Paraíba, Alagoas and Ceará.

 

I wanna visit Bahia too eventually, but we gotta be careful there nowadays unfortunately.

São Paulo, my parents are from Bahia so I went there countless time, also went on holidays to Ceara, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and Pernambuco (went to Recife and Porto de Galinhas) as well. I absolute love the northeast. 

 

But Rio is my favorite place to go, love the vibes, people and music there. I spent this last réveillon in Búzios and Cabo Frio, beautiful places. 

 

You already live in paradise, no reason to leave there hahaha

But I love São Paulo though, I don't think I could live anywhere else.

He's just giving his opinion based on how Rockstar used to handle things 18 years ago. I don't think It's a good comparison.

Even if they say something before the earning call, they could still delay it two weeks later, or they might stay silent until the very start of the marketing campaign. None of us know their plans, so there’s no point in guessing.

 

Now everything is different. When and what they’ll say is completely unclear. Don’t feed yourself these assumptions, and don’t do the same to others.

we can pretty much rule the August call out. We should know the release date by then, even if it’s delayed.

Things are different now but I wouldn’t blame anyone for being pessimistic about what strikes me as a very strange advertising strategy that’s built around leaving as many people in the dark and wanting more as possible.

I'm far from being the first one to speculate about this my friend, I'm still team not delayed though... for now.

I hate jumping to the delay team but there’s no way a screenshot wouldn’t have “leaked” by now… especially if it’s to be released this year.

Remember Rockstar leaked the image of Franklin on the bridge for the container ship heist and everyone thought it was a fake… we definitely should have seen something other than trailer 1 at this point if it was ready to be released

They moved the release date of Borderlands 4 forward. September 12th, instead of 23rd. I wonder if that's because of GTA VI..

The game is probably coming out in November which is still 6/7 months away. I know we're all antsy but we have to be less generous about rounding down months lol

Man that rarely happens with AAA games. I only see stuff like this with movies/shows and smaller games. Glad development seems to be going smoothly for them to do this.
