If I didn't know he was an analyst I'd just say that he came here on GTAForums, saw everyone expecting VI news in the next two weeks and claimed our speculation as his own.

 

But seriously now, he isn't saying anything that we don't know already, Fiscal Year 2026 just started weeks ago on April 1 and the first Earnings Call related to it will happen on May 15, it ain't too difficult to "predict" when we're gonna get news about VI.

If you're looking for a sort of Dark Souls experience in the game's combat, and by that I mean the game's parry/QTEs with small time windows are apparently quite difficult, there is a story mode difficulty, though, to mitigate that.

Tom Henderson is pretty much Jason Schreier tier when it comes to leaks and inside information at publishers these days.

 

Years ago, pre-VI's announcement and while Henderson was still relatively new to the scene a lot of his R* info felt like educated guesses pulled from GTAF, especially as he was more known for EA/Ubi leaks at the time, but I think these days he's proven credible enough across a variety of publishers and games to say that his reports are among the most reliable out there at this type of stuff at the moment.

I saw a bit of that yeah, the game has a lot of character and atmosphere so far and I like what I am seeing, but I am still cautious though because I was extremely hyped up for 2042 which looked amazing in marketing only to turn into what it was at launch.

What did he say about GTA 6 Online?

Because from what I know he said a few days ago that he has prepared a big, well-researched article about GTA6 and GTA6 Online that he will publish in the coming weeks.

An interesting observation. Over the past week, Take-Two shares have grown quite strongly again from ≈205 dollars to the historical ≈225 dollars!

 

As far as I know, in February, after the financial call, in which the release in the fall of 2025 was confirmed for the fourth time, the shares also immediately rose by 20+ dollars per 1 share. Now, 2 weeks before the May financial call, the stock has risen by $20+ again, that is, even before the call.

 

Apparently, many shareholders/investors are confident that GTA 6 will not be delayed in the next 2.5 weeks and Strauss Zelnik will confirm the release for the fifth time in the fall of 2025 (and in the best case, we may even get something from Rockstar themselves), and therefore they began to buy more shares.

 

I hope that's the case. I can't wait to see May 15th.

Sony did the same thing with Spider-Man… and there was no delay. At least wait till the 15th before “switching”

I get that it's possible but R* isn't Sony and GTA VI isn't Spiderman. Can they pull off a shorter marketing window? Of course, but it's not something they've done yet so we can't assume that's what's happening here. History has shown us that they usually announce delays after extended silence so it's understandable as to why some people are thinking it'll be pushed back.

They have done everything differently compared to their previous titles though, they can easily market the game in 5-6 months. I am still convinced it is coming this year till that document says otherwise
