At this point I don't know if people will be pleasantly surprised or disappointed if a delay doesn't happen and the game actually ends up releasing this year.

Yea that Henderson stuff about news in two weeks - he's just saying, and he explicitly states this pretty much, what we're all thinking. Nothing particularly interesting to communities like GTAF but the Twitter/tiktok/etc crowd will go wild cause they aren't as informed on this stuff I guess.

Interested to hear what he's got to say on GTAO2 though.

I don’t know why anyone would be disappointed by the fact that they will be playing the game this year :sadkek:

I feel like Rockstar will only start GTAO2's marketing after VI's release this time.

Maybe they'll mention it or something before VI's release, but things like trailers, screenshots and artworks may only be shown after the main game already is in our hands.

I expect GTAO2 to release about 3 months after VI at least.

I was being ironic, it's just that people talk so much about a delay over and over and over again that it almost feels like they're hoping for it.

Like... we get it, VI may be delayed, but this don't need to be said 293629103601737103 times per day.

Idk why but it feels way too soon for GTA VI. Like it's hard to believe that it's gonna release in 6 months.

Don’t say that, we’ll be stuck with GTA Online for a few more years :sadkek:

Everyone here, including the ones believing in a delay, wants to play the game ASAP !

Cannot wait for marketing to kick off : mapping improvements, first hints at new mechanisms or content, first gameplay videos... is when the fun really starts as it unfolds bits by bits before we get the real thing. Trailer 1 was, probably on purpose, mainly showcasing what we already saw in the leaks.

"if they are planning to release that this year, we'll hear about that soon".

"I think if it's coming out this year, we should hear something in the next two weeks, that's not a leak or anything, it's speculation".

That's what he said.

I just hope you wont need to pay a monthly subscription just to get access to gta online 2

People think the new gta online could be sold separately from the singleplayer game, for a "normal" game price (40-50€ maybe?). But wouldnt they make even more money if you need to pay monthly for the online mode access ? (10-15€ monthly?)

Nah, they'll give it as part of the game like they did with GTAV and make cash on MTX, the same way they're doing it now, there's a reason why they added GTA+ into the current GTAO.

The more people able to play the game, the more potential customers they can get.

I don't agree with the part Tom said that if Rockstar ends up delaying VI they will delay it a full year ahead (September-November 2026), and this is based on when the most recent versions of GTA5 came out:

GTA5 (PC) - April 14 2015

GTA5 E&E (PS5 and XS) - March 15 2022

GTA5 E&E (PC) - March 4 2025

If Rockstar's beloved cash cow can be rereleased many times in March-April, so can its successor.

It's coming out October/November/December. This is prime sell time, because it's close to Christmas and 6 will dominate the rest of the year at that point. Makes no sense to release it well before Christmas. Either this year or next year, it's always gonna be late in the year, no sooner.

GTA4, GTA Chinatown Wars, RDR1, L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3, all of them have something to tell you.

You really think that VI will sell less copies if it gets released in March-May? Lmao... it could be released on the 4th of July and people would buy it just the same.

Three different accounts, two of which newish (one of those two entirely new) posting the GTA VI Countdown guy's stuff within the same hour. Come the f*ck on, giving Twitter bots a run for their money - except one of the accounts which is an established member and that this comment doesn't apply to.

Also practice some literacy before posting those and read Henderson's own call out to that guy in the replies, who distorted everything as per usual.

Some social media accounts are blocklisted for a reason, all they do is post BS. Avoid posting them.

Yeah my bad on gta countdown, it just seems like every time I put gta 6 on twitter he pops up first

Rewatching the leaks, I just can't get over how good the shadows and the lighting looks. That's the main thing that stands out to me, especially in the diner robbery clip, the way the sun rays shine through the window and cast shadows look sooo goood

Except for early Jan any time of the year is fine for games. You could argue June/July aren't great either maybe.

But yea Hogwarts Legacy released in February and was one of the best selling games of the year, if not the best selling. Oblivion just shadow dropped in April and has hit 4 million players. MH Wilds released in Feb this year and sold 8 million copies in a week or so and is the current best selling game of the year.

There's no reason to hold a game until Christmas if the game is ready to release lol, for any publisher. It aint the 90's anymore.

What are the odds that we will get nothing until October 2025, where they will announce that the game will be delayed to October/November 2026? I say it's currently at 45%.

As of now, the probability has increased to 50%. The next three weeks will be crucial.

"We're in March and VI is ready to be released, but let's keep it on ice until October for no reason at all." - Rockstar Games (in the minds of some people).

Oh my god... A new game from a French indie studio, consisting of former Ubisoft developers, is DOING SOME PHENOMENAL THINGS :starekek:

So far, this is the MOST critically acclaimed game of the year. It's the MOST critically acclaimed game so far this year. And, attention, THE most highly rated game from players on the same site from players IN HISTORY is a 9.6 average score, just some kind of phenomenon 💀

And the most amazing thing is that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was developed by only... 33 PEOPLE, I'M SHOCKED 🤯

But this is only the fourth month of the year, there are still a lot of huge games and surprises like this game ahead. And if, in all this gaming madness, VI also comes out as the final wonderful chord, then... It's going to be the best gaming year in the history of video games, imho. Even 2023 or other strong years cannot compare with this 2025.
