Yeah, for better or for worse we'll probably be getting some news soon, I just hope it's not a delay or the entire community will be so on fire that it'll turn itself into a second hell that'd make Satan blush

if T2 wants to release a game every 3 months and Mafia: TOC is coming this summer, and Borderlands 4 is coming this september(fall) then GTA could be released in October November or December... and if R* wants to start the marketing around 5 to 6 months close to the release date, we could start expecting something from mid April to July (this silence could still carry on until august!!!)...

Also, nowadays considering that game previews are done online more so than on physical magazines (but the latter still happens), things will look more like this:

 

A summary thread like this will probably exist for VI as well as there'll probably be a lot more to go through in multiple languages. Loads of people in the community had their own translations of foreign language previews for every GTA/RDR game here, so that'll be useful.

Yeah as a few of us have mentioned, a few months of marketing for one of the biggest gaming launches ever is perfectly doable and in fact not uncommon for the current era. Not having news yet doesn't 100% mean delay, although I'd be surprised if we don't know the date by May, as T2 will be wanting to update their upcoming titles pipeline which usually includes info on release timings.

 

So for better or for worse (i.e. delay), we'll probably know it soonish.

I'm starting to feel that the release date is pushed back from fall to winter...

the idea of releasing a game every three months and GTA coming in fall which is so close to B4's release date is weird...

I hope that for Trailer 2 we get another countdown. And one that actually happens instead of it getting leaked early. I was honestly kinda sad we missed that moment of saying "ONE HOUR LEFT", "5 MIN LEFT" and being all hyped the hour leading up to the trailer releasing. I was 'lucky' I was still up the moment it got leaked, as I was about to go to bed. But I'm sure half of the forums was either asleep or not aware of the trailer leaking.

Like I said previously, the silence never worried me. It‘s the total opposite, I feel they are really confident right now.

I saw Ben Videotech tweet to get off twitter - trailer‘s been leaked. 

Took a deep breath, said alright, avoid the internetz, you‘ll see it when they want you to see it. Don’t waste that first watch through on a pixelated leak. (and I never did see the leaked version!)

 

then: that official R* twitter notification hit, written as casual as it was, and it hit me like a thousand ten ton trucks at the same time, thinking, well now it’s official, no point in waiting. adrenaline rushing at this point.

 

seeing that trailer brought tears to my eyes.

for me it wasn’t like busting prematurely, that sh*t was diamonds. thousand nuts per second. wild.

It's a shame that I didn't use Twitter much back then. I think GTA 6 was trending for weeks or even months, and there were so many videos on YouTube.

They will just release the updates for Red Dead Online, since it's unlikely that they will give any information about GTA 6. But who knows, anything could happen.

 

 

 

Yeah I don't think tomorrow brings anything, but if it'd be anything, it wouldn't be the trailer. 

Announcement, newswire, anything but they won't shadow drop the trailer.

It's insane because it won't happen, specially if the game is indeed coming this year.

 

Unless there's a delay, which would give Rockstar an extra room to start marketing the game later of course, otherwise the marketing will start until May.
