It's only because I see what kind of cesspool most of those sites tend to be like. Besides, aside from the occasional weirdo, there's sanity here. It's greatly appreciated.

I‘m wondering if the trailer will again put this heavy emphasis on love, trust, relationships… or if it‘ll cater to other stuff.

Think, instead of a Lucia & Jason trailer, we might get a grittier, Jason / Lucia trailer, split 50/50, their own motivations, vices…

 

Although it’s plausible to think „Leonida, Trust, Robberies“ will be the focal point marketing-wise, given the fact we’ve already seen tons of stuff we weren’t supposed to.

Its undeniable that marketing would’ve looked a lot different had it not been for the leaks.

 

Which makes me think about hammer lady, and „well look who‘s back“ feeling awfully similar to the opening line of the Heists trailer, like them breaking the fourth wall.

I remember me speculating (way back in '23) that the trailer would open up with something like „you‘ve seen sh*t you weren’t supposed to see, so you better keep your mouth shut“ in regards to the leaks.

 

I was wrong.

Someone from the community recreates a map that doesn't harm anyone, and they just delete it like that. Instead of doing that, they should release Trailer 2.

Brother they're most likely literally just going to announce they're reopening without any gaming news attached, VI or otherwise lmao. This "exclusive contact" bullsh*t isn't true either as again, IGN and others also got exclusive info and features on GTA V on the same day as GI, and Edge UK got the RDR2 magazine spread.

 

A lot of this has been covered in this thread in the past day, be reasonable. Not everything revolves around GTA VI. And again again, something else people are forgetting, Andy McNamara, the main guy who was behind the GTA V stuff, is now working for EA, he has no association even with the new thing.

 

I will bang this drum over and over again because if/when nothing happens tomorrow at all it'll be like the 15th time this happens, and people dare to get all bitchy to others who call out how ridiculous this constant ignorant theorising is, when nothing indeed happens and has no reason to happen. Tomorrow is also a Tuesday so if something does get released it won't have a relation with GI or the guy who has conveniently deleted his Reddit account - Tuesdays are common news days.

GI was closed (they did not close themselves, by choice) by GameStop last year, and the corporation REMOVED all of their website's contents and news archives.* They were around for RDR2 and did not get the cover, no. Edge did.

*this is exactly why it's worth a teaser from them, they've (whoever is left which are not many of the OG's who moved on to new pastures) likely gotten control of the IP which is good news for gaming media and deserves a teaser. Doesn't have to have to do with GTA VI.
