well, at least it's not a date that's several weeks/months out, pretty painless troll if you ask me... and one day the sh*t'll have to stick. Don't get me wrong, that drought has done some intense damage to my nervous system, but I think we're actively at a point where we can say the worst is finally behind us. We're bound to get something any time now, this is the final stretch

GTA 6 became a prophecy and the internet is full of false prophets. I put my hopes on R*.

I'm operating on survival protocols. No alcohol, healty food, 10-minute walks, gym, crossing the street on green lights only, respect speed limits, 9 hours of sleep. All to see the coming of Trailer 2 some day.

This has nothing to do with an anniversary. It’s simply a comeback—but nobody knows what it’ll look like yet. Are they independent now, or still tied to GameStop? The revival of GI is strange, but they’re clearly planning a big bang. One thing I’m sure of: this has absolutely nothing to do with GTA 6.

I used to be on the 60fps copium as well in 22/23, for whatever reason... nowadays I'm more than content with 30. I was in the queue to buy a Pro but ultimately couldn't justify it after the price reveal & no cpu upgrade

I’m kind of at the point where I think if they were going to delay it, they wouldn’t have stayed quiet for so long. My opinion, not that it’s worth much, is that they are pretty much good to go, we’re confident it was nearly done when they showed of Trailer 1 and they’re going to have a relatively short (6 months or so) marketing campaign.

In 2023 I was on the fence regarding buying a PS5 Pro, when they revealed it's a glorified fake resolution box the thought of throwing money completely vanished

For years I've been forced to play big release games sacrificing graphics because I couldn't afford a beefy PC yet, I first played GTA V on PS3 and RDR2 on PS4, until they released on PC, (was too young to experience day one releases before GTA IV) and now that I have a powerhouse of a PC (and yet not on RTX 5090 level) I just don't want to experience big games poorly. I want the first play trough to be the best it can.

So you'll be waiting for the PC release? I got myself the normal ps5 and my eyes are more than happy with it, I'm glad I didn't spend double the money on a pro.

I never got the reason why people even buy the Pro consoles. 

 

1: It doesn't have exclusive games, so anything that can be played on the Pro can also be played on the base PS5.

2: I don't care about the FPS and resolution because it's not the PC version which gives you choices. They are not going to release an unoptimized game on console. It will be 30 FPS yes, but it will be stable so it won't matter. 5-10 minutes is all it takes for your eyes/brain to get adjusted to it. 

3: I'll buy the PC version later. Unless it comes out on both Day 1.

I'm waiting, and I'm happy to wait, since I have only owned a PC since the mid-90s....  Not that I don't acknowledge the place consoles have in gaming, that's just my choice.

 

Plus, I finally have a PC I can use to play VI, when it arrives.

For me it was how far ahead Strauss confirmed that R* was targeting Fall 2025 (1.5 years in advance) rather than announcing a much closer release date only for R* to have to delay the game to Fall 2025 regardless.

It’s crazy to think the same amount of time between GTA 3 and GTA V is the same amount of time that would have surpassed between GTA V and VI by the time it comes out.

I recently played Mafia II for the first time and it became crystal clear to me that there‘ll (hopefully, but surely) be a very similar wanted system in VI. 

(although vastly improved)

In general I think Mafia II did a lot of things right, systems that still hold up to this day, from the aforementioned wanted system down to interacting with random objects. 

I think VI will be a masterpiece in that regard.
