KurumaIV
Hello, I am hoping to seek your expertise on my poster collection. I have bought these mainly from eBay over the years. I understand more than likely the LCS, SA and MC3 will be post-release from R* warehouse but the VCS and GTA3 posters are more of a mystery. I bought the GTA3 poster from Amazon in 2016 and it is remarkably good print and resolution which makes me feel it might be legit. It has the german URL at the bottom right. I appreciate your insights! Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/1000103-poster-identification-request/ Share on other sites
GTA_collector84
Can’t help you with your question, but it looks badass. How big is the GTA 3 poster? Thanks dude, it's great seeing all the little details in the artwork. It's A1 in size (23.4 x 33.1 inches) GTA_collector84 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/1000103-poster-identification-request/#findComment-1072484537 Share on other sites

Stahli
I find it interesting that this GTA III logo was used and not the Grand Theft Auto logo. The German version used this logo. Maybe more, I'm not sure. MikeWh
The GTA 3 poster is post release, I think it was given out during launch or if bought through certain vendors - yours is the German version, I think (for reasons unknown) certain territories used 'GTA' over the full name, interestingly in the PAL/UK region the disc had 'GTAIII' on it like this, but the cover and posters had the full wordmark. My suspicion is this was done in non-native/non-English speaking territories? The only approved posters pre-launch were labelled 'Coming Autumn 2001' or 'Coming Soon' (or 'Coming Fall 2001' in the US and Canada), or 'AVAILABLE NOW', or at least that's all that's listed in the Promo Pack. We know it's post release but pre-PC release from the presence of the DMA logo (and not the Rockstar Studios tartan badge, or the Rockstar North blue badge) - we can date the change to Rockstar Studios from DMA as being March 2002. So this, in my opinion, was produced between September 2001 and February 2002 (September being the release of POS/Promo material to retailers) Edited January 27 by MikeWh IVCavalcade and GTA_collector84 2 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/1000103-poster-identification-request/#findComment-1072495107 Share on other sites
