    Greyfriars Bobby

Greyfriars Bobby was a Skye Terrier who became known in 19th-century Edinburgh for spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner until he died himself on 14 January 1872. Rockstar North reference this in Grand Theft Auto V, and later Red Dead redemption 2. https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/news/edinburgh-news/greyfriars-bobby-red-dead-redemption-15470996

    The Sundae/Sunday Post

The Sundae Post shop in Vespucci Beach is a reference to Dundee published The Sunday Post. Dundee is the birthplace of GTA and where DMA Design was based. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sunday_Post

    BAWSAQ

The BAWSAQ stock exchange not only is a reference to the NASDAQ but is also direct Scottish slang for ballsack, given that in Scots you may use "baws" instead of "balls". A cross-dialect one.

    Glasgow Statue Cones

The statue by Francis Intl. Airport in GTA III and the one in Pyrite Ave. in GTA V reference a long-standing tradition of putting a cone on Glasgow's Wellington statue.
  6. The Famous Hamburger Sign in Paleto Bay, in Grand Theft Auto V is a reference to a former employee who, on the 1st of February 2013 was brought on board to fix a broken IN GAME data object. They fixed the object using J6 or as it's more commonly known; JAVA 6. The numbers reference the date this work was started as it's based on the dating system of another form of JAVA, namely SAS which takes it's start date as January the first 1960 and the numbers are the amount of days from there to get to 1st of February 2013, which is the day they were brought on board to help with the fix. The %0y is also a reference to the year. The dev in question has the middle name of JEFF and is also of Italian descent hence FIGO. As has been speculated before JEFF FIGO refers to this dev, who is indeed a cool Italian as FIGO means cool in Italian. The source of this discovery is below. I personally did not discover this, but rather read about it in the Chiliad Mystery Subreddit.

    Edinburgh Trams

The colour of the Los Santos Transit trams an inversion of the Edinburgh trams colour. Not without their problems either.
