GTA Liberty City 2001 (LC'01) is a lore friendly total conversion mod for Grand Theft Auto 3 that attempts to make the game more in line with its counterparts from later in the 3D era by updating gameplay as well as design direction to match that of its successors. Design wise a key source has been primarily inspiration coming from Rockstar Leeds' Stories games, all while aiming to maintain GTA3's unique identity and fleshing it out through various restorations of design concepts Rockstar never had time to finish or developing on brands and ideas that were originally lacking detail. Gameplay has been finetuned to encompass all the best elements from Vice City, San Andreas as well as Stories, enabling the player to switch outfits, explore interiors across the city, play arcade games, swim for a very limited time, fly helicopters, jump out of moving vehicles, utilize over 36 weapons and drive over 105 vehicles and much more. Stay tuned. When it's done.     'Tightened Thrice' is a 'Tightened Vice' prequel mod for GTA 3, that seeks to make every single mission in the game harder, with a focus on ruining the muscle memory of speedrunners... For safety I'd recommend regularly manually saving too. 'Streamer Friendly Radio' seeks to replace copyright audio, though I cannot make any guarantees. **Due to the amount of text lines added and/or changed, playing the game in any other language than English will make very little sense!** _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ What's Different? Every single story mission (including optional/side missions) has been tweaked, or in some cases completely rewritten to be much more difficult. Every single hidden package, health, armour, bribe and weapon pickup has been relocated. A new wardrobe system has been introduced, with 11 new outfits rewarded throughout the game. 4 Brand new "off-road" missions have been added. A large number of map additions and tweaks (including brand new interiors) have been implemented. 10 new vehicles have been added, some of which are rewards for beating certain missions. 20 new Unique Stunt Jumps. 20 new rampages. Import/Export garages swapped between Portland and Shoreside (with one vehicle completely new). Several back-ported VC features such as poppable tyres and breakable windshields. Traffic and pedestrian density has been increased, with behaviour tweaked to be less friendly. Gangs are now less friendly and become better armed at certain points in the story. Radio stations have been largely expanded thanks to the addition of LCS renditions, extra lore friendly/beta tracks as well as Head from GTA 2. 2 new radio stations have been added, 'Plastic Nectar' and 'Bang Radio'. The map has been littered with extra audio zones, parked cars and particle effects to bring even more life to Liberty. Mission specific music and a "failure jingle" have been added. Restored beta busker peds along with a couple of extra variations. Taxi missions are slightly trickier (being wanted will make the passenger flee, & fleeing passengers try to pull you out of the car). You can sprint infinitely and with any weapon from the start of the game. Draw distance and 2DFX lights have been greatly increased and island loading has been removed (thanks to Project 2DFX). + More I've probably already forgotten! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Tightened Thrice is being made with Speedrunners in mind, as such it's a complete package that just needs to overwrite a vanilla III 1.0 install.     I've been working on a mod the last couple of days. The idea is to bring the (ps2) LCS atmosphere to III WITHOUT being an LCS port. This means: - LCS timecycle - LCS textures - LCS building pipeline - LCS-like car pipeline (it's not 100% exact but close enough) - LCS postfx - just for the heck of it blue police car and enforcer cause I like them All textures in LCS had their gamma changed to 1.5, so this mod will replace all map textures with gamma-edited ones. Additionally I am using LCS road textures. But these are the only map changes I've done. Most notably I have not used vegetation from LCS, but plan to do so in a later version. In summary, the mod is now a cocktail of my own creations, LCS Mobile textures, and original HD texture source material used by Rockstar for GTA3 (thanks DimZet). Each texture has been cherry-picked and tailored to fit the GTA3 aesthetic. 1024px and 512px are the new standards for most surfaces, and all textures are now compressed with DX1 (DX5 for alpha based textures). With 145 TXD files in total, I managed to get the total file size of hdtex.img down to 449 MB. All textures are also mipmapped. Thank you for everybody's patience during the extended development of this release. While not every suggestion made it in, I tried to incorporate as many good ideas from this topic as I could where I saw them. Hopefully, it paid off! MOD DESCRIPTION GTA3 is a game that will be played by gamers across the world for years to come. As technology has progressed, 4K is slowly becoming the standard display resolution for gaming. The only problem? GTA3 was a game built to be played on the PlayStation 2 with 480p CRT televisions. On these newer displays, there is no denying it hasn't aged gracefully. Some teams have built large scale mods in an attempt to improve overall graphics of the game and give it a fighting chance. Most of these fail to retain the certain patina that Liberty City has developed over time, which has grown on the older fans of the series. Despite making Liberty look better, they tend to make the game feel less familiar. NHDR takes the common textures in GTA3 and gives them a well-needed spit and polish. Each texture has been cherry-picked, changed up, or rebuilt from scratch to replicate their blurry counterparts as closely as possible. By doing this, many old school GTA3 fans will enjoy a nicer looking game while not feeling far from home. While this is not a total retexture, roughly 80% of textures seen during gameplay are replaced. There is no fancy business or messing around here. This is what we already know and love, with an all natural feeling update! GTA III: Stories is a conversion that attempts to bring the feeling of Liberty City Stories on III Engine by adding stuff from LCS like Maps, Buildings, Objects, Vehicles, Interiors, Peds and some features. We won't be converting each and every aspect of the game, this includes features that are not yet supported by the GTA III Engine. Map Objects & Buildings. All Cars, Helis & Plane models. Reflections and Textures. Pickups. Some Interiors. 1. Any planned Missions? A: None as of now. My objective is to port the whole map first before getting major stuff working. 2. Functional Motorbikes? A: Motorbikes won't be added. Just cars. 3. Will there be Safehouses? A: Yes, and they can be saved into. This includes saving in Interiors. So far only the Portland Garage is the one that works.   16. Story: The year is 2005, 4 years after the murderous crimewave of the "Handsome Handyman" Claude. An LCPD Officer from the Staunton Island branch named Adrian Edwards is transferred to the Portland Branch, after preventing a crime in the area just as the Callahan Bridge had to be blocked off due to criminal activity causing some damage that had to be checked out to ensure it was not too dangerous to cross over, much like in San Andreas where the bridges were shut to ensure no damage was caused, leaving him almost stranded on the island. He does some jobs for the Portland Police Chief, Martin Dunsfield, however while on break, parked up next to the Bolt Burgers location, Adrian spots two rival criminal gangs in a driving chase. He rushes to the criminals before stopping the one in the lead, and arresting the gang members, much to the rage of Martin. In response, he discharges him for arresting the criminals, however as Adrian looks for new job opportunities, he runs into the Diablos, who explained that he was able to stop a key member of the dwindling Forelli crime family, and they offer him a job. He declines, and soon Martin tells Adrian to come back to the Portland Branch station as an apology and to give him his job back, and for his first assignment back, he goes to the tunnel behind the Supa-Save Supermarket. Here, he is ambushed by many gang members, who he all kills. It is here that he realises they are Forelli men, and that the Portland Branch has become bent and serving of the Forelli Crime Family. Enraged upon this news, and feeling guilt towards contributing to it, he accepts the offer from the Diablos and begins working to bring down the Forelli Family, and then from there, taking down each corrupt officer one-by-one. After the Diablo Leader, El Burro, has to leave Liberty City due to a hit on him, the group disbands to go into hiding, with only small patrol, however El Burro recommends Adrian to the Leone Crime family, now being ran by Joey with Toni as they would be the closest people to the target. With the mafia, the Corrupt Police Station is destroyed, and the cops disband. With the bridge open again however, it means that the Corrupt Cops have scattered themselves around Liberty City more, with one of them causing a blockage in the Porter Tunnel, and causing a malfunction to the Staunton Lift Bridge, blocking Staunton from Shoreside Vale and also Upstate Liberty and the neighbouring state of Alderney. On Staunton, new bosses are met, connections grow, corrupt officials killed, and Adrian's old Police Chief informed about the corruption in Portland's Department and how it is spreading. After the other cops are killed, there's only one target left, Martin. Setting: The Setting for this mod is Liberty City, relatively unchanged from its appearance in GTA III, however there are a few differences. The biggest difference to the main city area is that Fort Staunton has completed construction, complete with the large tower that was being built in the centre, and where the Restaurant, Opera House and Museum were once located in LCS, there is now a shopping promenade with Office Complexes, like the small fountain plaza area in LCS' Fort Staunton in the same area, but on a bigger scale and more modern. Fort Staunton is generally more luxurious than it is in both GTA 3 and Liberty City Stories (However it is luxurious in LCS.) The design will try to match the picture on the billboard outside the construction site as much as possible. It will be under control by the Weakened Yakuza, while weak, still strong enough to defend the territory they gained in 2001. There's also a new build where Toni's old apartment was, a Well Stacked Pizza Joint with a Drug Store to the side, and an Ice Cream store to the other side. Vincenzo's Garage in Atlantic Quays is beginning to fall apart, after lacking a buyer since his death in 1998. Due to a strong Asbestos leakage, the Sweeney General Hospital building had to be knocked down, however due to a lack of funds, it has to be rebuilt into a smaller clinic, similar to how it looked in the beta. The site of the old Fish Factory has become a small retail park. Work on the Rush Construction building in Red Light has been complete, and now operates under the "Mexican Lawnmowers, Weedwhackers, and more", with an office on the upper floors for Embassy, a new company arisen from the criminal underbelly of Portland. Joey, due to becoming a Mafia Don, sold his garage off, and it becomes a Cab Company which may be familiar to some. A surviving member of the now disbanded Cartel turned Espresso-2-Go into a full brand, owning a store in Aspatria, in the location of the old Columbian Backlot. Luxury Penthouses have also been constructed in Aspatria, taking the place of some of the buildings that once occupied the area. North Bedford Point has received a facelift, looking more glamorous with Capitalism than ever before, due to an increase of funding in the area. All AmmuNation stores have shut down due to new gun-control laws in the city, meaning that some of the AmmuNation locations have been turned into illegal weapon stores. Kenji's Casino, without an owner present, has been shutdown, and there are plans to replace it with a much more luxury casino, to rival that of Venturas. The area with the Pay 'N' Spray and 8-Ball Bomb Yard in Pike Creek has also become a Retail Park, however with fewer stores and smaller stores than the one in Callahan Point. A Small Bridge was built, better connecting Wichita Gardens and Pike Creek / Francis International. New apartment buildings have also been built in Wichita Gardens, and more villas and housing has been built in Cedar Grove. One large change though, arguably as large as Fort Staunton / Staunton Plaza, is that the tunnels have finished being built. This means that access to Upstate Liberty, and the extended Residential area of Liberty City is now here. However, there is one change that I'd like to mention, the biggest change in the entire map. Notice how I said Fort Staunton was the biggest change in Liberty City, well, there's not just Liberty City anymore, there's not just Liberty anymore, the coastal part of the state of Alderney is now here, south of Shoreside Vale. This adds a whole new experience, and on top of that, the map has Staten Island, known as Richmond Island, and the Bronx, finally expanding Liberty City to the fullest potential. Features: I'm not gonna reveal too many features, but two ideas I have are the ability to buy clothing, and also Fast Food restaurants, such as Well Stacked Pizza (The most common, because, I mean come on, it's a New York-based city and area), Burger Shot, Cluckin' Bell, Tube, Happy Blimp, Bolt Burgers, etc. Cast / Characters: Adrian Edwards - Protagonist Martin Dunsfield - Antagonist Joey Leone - Mafia Don Toni Cipriani - Mafia Underboss [More Coming Soon] Team: Right now, it's only me, doing the planning, however I'm welcome for any help and team members to help with the main game itself.     Retouched Vehicles (Low-Poly)

    Well, this is my second job with vehicles. I wanted to do something for GTA3, and this came to me. Some improvisations for the vehicles, but in low-poly. Vehicles All vehicles have a new engine, adapted from SA vehicles. It has added details, for a better look. Some models have been changed, as some are quite repeated. There are changes in the textures, therefore, there are also changes in the model. Wheels I did a little improv on the wheels of the PC version. They all have a new internal part, to make it look better. They have a different texture, and a new one, for the classic wheel. Brought from XBOX. Others There are some color changes for certain vehicles. For newer models, there are changes to the collision file and handling. Firearm Editor: - a tool with the menu which can replace or clone a weapon sound with the other weapon sound, - you can put sound suppressor on any firearm (except for the shotguns or a minigun), - works for the original weapon sounds only, - works for the firearm sounds only. In addition to the "sound suppressor" feature - you can choose between who will use it: - player only, - NPCs only, - everyone. So it's kind of added weapon sounds without actually adding them. How to install: - place FirearmEditor folder inside the modloader folder. How to use: - press L8 to activate the menu, - use left and right arrows on the keyboard to navigate through the weapon list, - choose a weapon sound you wish to change, - use Enter to proced forward, - now choose a new weapon sound for the selected weapon sound, - to close the menu use right mouse button, - sound suppressor feature can not be controlled by the menu for now because it's relatively new so use the ini file. Feel free to leave feedback on the same. + Cartel Crusher (WIP) Thanks for the feedback everyone. Was working on the Cartel Cruiser earlier and started messing with a few data. Now, I present the Cartel Crusher. It's a sort of Monster Truck version of the Cruiser. Can easily maneuver over other vehicles and less prone to over turning. Improved the wheelbase and suspension to make it more like a Monster Truck. You can easily slide a vehicle under it without any issues. + Improved GTA III Script This Script modification is a collection of script improvements that I did for easier gameplay and allowing some perks early in game which can come in handy.Max Player Health is 250 now. GTA LCS Thunderrodd: This is a simple conversion of the LCS Vehicle Thunderrodd to GTA III. GTA LCS Kuruma: This is a simple conversion of the LCS Vehicle Kuruma to GTA III. GTA III Unlocked Script: This mod that allows a user to complete all missions in any order, just after Luigi's Girls. You can basically access all the islands as well. Beta Cops Model: A simple Cop model from the Beta Edition of GTA III. This is a small texture replacement that adds mustached cop models in game. Beta Gang Cars: This mod sets the Gang Members to drive the cars meant to be used while GTA III was still in Beta Phase. Attached below is a list of what vehicles each gang drives. SA Misc Sounds: This mod changes the misc sounds to SA sounds. Like pickup, click sounds. Just replace the files in audio folder. IV Mission Complete Sound: This changes the mission complete sound to the one of IV. Just copy the file to the audio folder. Fed Ex Rumpo: This is a simple conversion of the Fed Ex Van to GTA III. GTA IV Loadscreen: This is changes the boring blue loadscreen to a colorful and new IV style loadscreen. DHL Van: This is a simple conversion of the DHL Van to GTA III. Better Weapon Sounds: With this mod you can change the boring low quality sounds to high quality ones. VC Admiral: The mods brings the Admiral car from Vice City to III. It replaces the Kuruma. VC Sabre: This mods brings the Sabre car from Vice City to III. It replaces the Manana. VC Topfun Van: This is a simple conversion of the VC Topfun to GTA III. VC Voodoo: This is a simple conversion of the VC Voodoo to GTA III. This mod will replace Yardie Lobo. VC Washington: This is a simple conversion of the VC Washington to GTA III. Replaces Blista. VC Comet: The mods brings the Comet car from Vice City to III. It replaces the Bobcat.
