"The west just got a bit more wild." Download at RDR2Mods.com Changelog 1.2.1 -Added alternate catalog_sp.ymt for Red Dead Offline V1.3 compatibility 1.2.0 -Reduced ammo loot from bodies 1.1.0 -Added alternate catalog_sp.ymt file for JMRP V2.8 compatibility -Fixed a few sell values that were rounded to "0" instead of "1" -Reduced ped item loot rates that were set to 100% 1.0 -Initial upload Special Thanks to LMS for Lenny's Mod Loader, @Senexis for the catalog_sp.ymt and automating the price conversions for me, and all the other helpful people at the Mod RDR Discord. Requirements Lenny's Mod Loader Installation -Place the "hardcoreMode" folder inside your "/Red Dead Redemption 2/lml/" -If using mod that shares catalog_sp.ymt, choose appropriate version in "compatibilityVersions" folder -Replace catalog_sp.ymt in "/Red Dead Redemption 2/lml/hardcoreMode" -Delete catalog_sp.ymt provided with other mod -If conflicting mod contains an "install.xml," edit it (not the one from hardcoreMode), and remove: <FileReplacement> <GamePath>platform:/data/itemdatabase/catalog_sp.ymt</GamePath> <FilePath>catalog_sp.ymt</FilePath> </FileReplacement> Description This is my attempt at recreating the gameplay elements from Red Dead Redemption 1 GOTY Edition's Hardcore difficulty for RDR2. Fortunately most things were able to be modified through the files aside from mission payouts and honor gains. The former is most likely tied to mission scripts, as well as the latter or possibly in a file that hasn't been located or hashed yet. -Maximum health has been reduced by half. This accounts for the extra health tanks gained through leveling. Level 3 before meant you had twice the health as an NPC. Now you're pretty much even, and Level 10 being the equivalent of the vanilla game's Level 4. -Health regenerates more slowly, and after a longer delay. Twice as long as a delay since your last hit before health starts to regenerate, and the amount of health that regenerates each "beat" has been reduced by half. -All items cost twice as much, and all sell prices have been reduced by half. Only thing I could not locate to modify was camp upgrade prices. -Reward/looting/drops for containers and NPCs have been reduced. Money and ammunition is the most noticeable with the amount of ammo retrieved from NPCs being reduced by half, as well as money. Some items from NPCs and containers are twice as rare now as well. As it stood in the vanilla game, there are some items that always have a chance of being found on a ped or in a container. I recommend starting a new game. You should be able to apply this to a current save with no issues, but what's the point? Currently incompatible with other mods that use a modified catalog_sp.ymt like Red Dead Offline or the John Marston Restoration Project. Compatibility files will be introduced at some point. I've done minimal testing so far, so if there are any game breaking issues or forced mission failure states let me know and I'll look into it. Otherwise, enjoy scrounging around the west!
  2. PLEASE UPDATE TO THE LATEST VERSION OF LENNY'S MOD LOADER (BETA 8), THIS IS REQUIRED FOR THE MOD TO WORK! Armadillo Restoration Community Project aims to deliver new map enhancements to Armadillo in Red Dead Redemption 2 once all knew where it all began in the original game. This project features lots of changes to attempt to make the town feel more like the original town in 2010's predecessor, these include removing all the bonfire pits and cholera posters, in addition to making new updates to the law system, adding new lighting and much more. Everyone has worked very hard to deliver on this mod, a lot of sweat and late nights went through making this. With the lack of tools available right now almost everything was done manually for weeks. It should be noted that this mod is no Map Editor or Rampage project, this modification utilizes the proper RAGE formats thanks to Lenny's Mod Loader. Let's dig into the features set of this mod below - please send any feedback and bug reports to the thread as it helps improve, thanks for checking this mod out! What are the features of this mod? A new working law system thanks to the courtesy of Blackjack420 Armadillo Bank interior is now enterable and restored All bonfire pits including smoke effects and decals have been removed, this also includes the LODs All cholera posters are removed all over Armadillo Vomit and other debris decals have been removed across all surfaces Lots of new lanterns have been placed to provide better lighting, note this can be a performance hit, please send any feedback on this so I can adjust. There are no longer damaged props Armadillo Train Station no longer features doors to match the original title There have been changes made to the Armadillo Saloon to sort out the mess on the surfaces Changes to the start screen video which no longer features the bonfire pits Some NPC's (Except Herbert Moon) have been switched to the Tumbleweed ones to remove all cholera dialogue Dynamic events relating to the cholera illness have been disabled All cholera posters have been removed Other minor changes made Upcoming updates to the mod - keep an eye here for updates Remove all related cholera scenarios and add new ones in order to make the town more alive Remove the barricade mesh from the town buildings (unlikely to come anytime soon due to the lack of 3D tools) Add a working piano inside the Saloon Add a train station ticket worker at the front desk Remove the smoke above the sky And more... Current known issues: There is an issue that can cause the leftover bonfire pit collision to appear at some instances at the front of the Armadillo Train Station. Please report any issues to this thread so they can be investigated, thanks! Please click show spoiler to see the screenshots. Thanks to these people for their huge collaborations to the mod development, this project wouldn't be possible without any of these amazing people Blackjack420 - developed a new law system in Armadillo LMS - continuously assisted the project with any needs for Lenny's Mod Loader and helped address the leftover bonfire pit collision Modifiver - creating the scenarios for Armadillo to make the town more alive + adding a Sheriff inside the town which allows for NPC's to report crimes and removing all related sickness scenarios (future update) @pariah87 - massively helped address the leftover bonfire pit collision and addressing an issue which causes the removed doors for the Armadillo Train Station to return back after a short certain distance (also assisted QA) SgtJoe - creating a script to disable the dynamic cholera events in Armadillo. Senexis (Bob Ross) - providing a DataLines file for OpenIV to obtain object data in PSO files FiveM Team - for the texture convertor
  3. Just finished my Ramita de la Baya map mod. 4. After many years of people's requests and petitions, its finally here. A small mod that begun as a model swapping test for Lambda's new file streaming method, became an ambitious project to fully restore John Marston back to his prime. This mod restores John Marston's beta assets, such as his beta head models, clothes, hair and more. Some of the features included are: ALL of the assets above are included as Add On clothes, they don't replace any asset ingame. To buy them, you need to go to the fence, as seen here: Unique hairstyles for John were also added, with the correct dark brown hair color and without affecting Arthur Morgan's hair. Btw, John's classic right parted hair does not clip through the hat. John's npc pants were also included: There are many more features in the mod but then it is too much for this post! Requires the latest build of Lenny's Mod Loader. To install the mod, simply put the folder "LML" in your Red Dead Redemption 2 directory.
