    III Aircraft

    III Aircraft Oh well. For some reason, Rockstar never let us fly with proper aircraft in III-era Liberty City - both GTA III and GTA LCS didn't feature usable helicopters nor planes (although they could be spawned in LCS). However, due to the fact Vice City was developed at around the same time as III, some code got mixed up. Luckily for gamers, one of the mixups was proper helicopters and planes handling! This modification brings several helicopters and planes from the other GTAs to old good GTA III. They handle almost like their VC/SA counterparts, although they may feature some minor differences. Thanks to III CLEO* they'll also appear spawned on the map in several locations. * Not available for Steam version.     I reimplemented trails in III and VC using d3d9 pixel shaders to remove the blur. You need a d3d8 to 9 wrapper (d3d8to9 included in the zip as d3d8.dll) and rwd3d9.dll, which adds d3d9 functionality to renderware (also included in the zip, but see the topic: http://gtaforums.com/topic/819551-rwd3d9-d3d9-extension-for-rw/). As of version 1.0 (finally a proper version number) it exposes some settings in the debug menu In III disabling trails now removes the overlay completely as there is no point in rendering the half-assed version. This mod also enables the trails menu option in Vice City, thanks Silent.   3. Steam Car Colour Fix This plugin will fix the dark car colour on Steam version. Why don't you just use modified particle.txd, I hear you ask. You see, the replacement of particle.txd will not fix the colour of introduction cutscene vehicles. Plus, if you're playing a Russian version it will kill several translated textures.     Improved Shoreside Vale roads

    Hello everybody! To avoid making long detours in this area I added a road between the one to the airport on one hand and the one to the Wichita gardens Porter tunnel entry.   7. GTA III Player Skin Selector Version 1.1 Description This is a simple CLEO script that allows you to change your player skin! Over 40 special skins are available, ranging from story characters, police officers, and even unused characters! Skins even persist after saving the game! NOTE: THIS MOD DOES NOT ADD SKINS TO THE GAME! It simply allows you to choose skins that aren't normally accessible via the ILIKEDRESSINGUP cheat. Installation Installation is simple! Just extract the .zip archive and copy the CLEO folder into your game directory. This mod is supported on both CLEO v1 and CLEO v2. How to Use When the game is loaded, press F12 to enter skin selection mode (laptop users may need to press Fn+F12). Use the left and right arrow keys to browse skins. When you've found a skin you like, press Enter to exit skin selection mode and apply the skin. You can also press Alt+F12 to quickly toggle between the current skin and the default skin (Claude in street clothes). Known Issues The game will crash if you attempt to watch a cutscene while using any skin other than the default skin (Claude in street clothes). The reason for this is not yet known. To circumvent the issue, the Alt+F12 keystroke was implemented (see above). Use this before watching any cutscene, or better yet, don't play missions while using a different skin.   8. rwd3d9 is a library you can link your III and VC asi-mods against to get access to d3d9 features, namely vertex- and pixel-shaders. You still need a d3d8 to 9 wrapper that supports QueryInterface to get the d3d9 device (d3d8to9 recommended), so why should you use it? Simple, RW keeps a cache of pixel- and vertex-shaders that has to be kept up to date. When more than one mod wants to mess with the cache it will very likely become inconsistent and bad things will happen. So the idea is to have only one mod (this one) handle the cache and have all others dynamically link against it. Just include rwd3d9.h, link against rwd3d9.lib and put rwd3d9.dll into your game's main directory. When the dll is loaded it will hook all necessary places by itself. You can use it with asis that are loaded early (e.g. by the ultimate asi loader) or late (e.g. by the built-in mss32 loader). The library is very small currently because I just implemented what I needed for SkyGfx and sharptrails. If you make changes, please make a pull request or something so we won't have many incompatible versions.     AI Enhanced PC/PS2 Claude Skin

    Here is a 1024x1024 AI enhanced Claude for anyone who wants it. I threw in my own herbs and spices in Photoshop to further detail his facial hair and clothing materials. This is for the default PC/PS2 model, for those (like myself) who prefer the look of this over the higher poly Xbox one. Installation is as you'd expect.     Vinnie's Warehouse

    Converts the warehouse interior from LCS for use in GTA III, with a special back entrance and some extra tweaks. Also comes with an alternate version if you want the front garage door open. Should be compatible with both the PS2 and Xbox map, but I haven't tested. Requires Mod Loader. Known issues: - Shadows/lights act strange due to the model being very close to the ground outside. I tried to fix this as best as I could but I didn't want this mod to be too intrusive. - It rains inside and police helis can fly in. Just pretend it's a very leaky roof! DOWNLOAD

In summary, the mod is now a cocktail of my own creations, LCS Mobile textures, and original HD texture source material used by Rockstar for GTA3 (thanks DimZet). Each texture has been cherry-picked and tailored to fit the GTA3 aesthetic. 1024px and 512px are the new standards for most surfaces, and all textures are now compressed with DX1 (DX5 for alpha based textures). With 145 TXD files in total, I managed to get the total file size of hdtex.img down to 449 MB. All textures are also mipmapped. Thank you for everybody's patience during the extended development of this release. While not every suggestion made it in, I tried to incorporate as many good ideas from this topic as I could where I saw them. Hopefully, it paid off! MOD DESCRIPTION GTA3 is a game that will be played by gamers across the world for years to come. As technology has progressed, 4K is slowly becoming the standard display resolution for gaming. The only problem? GTA3 was a game built to be played on the PlayStation 2 with 480p CRT televisions. On these newer displays, there is no denying it hasn't aged gracefully. Some teams have built large scale mods in an attempt to improve overall graphics of the game and give it a fighting chance. Most of these fail to retain the certain patina that Liberty City has developed over time, which has grown on the older fans of the series. Despite making Liberty look better, they tend to make the game feel less familiar. NHDR takes the common textures in GTA3 and gives them a well-needed spit and polish. Each texture has been cherry-picked, changed up, or rebuilt from scratch to replicate their blurry counterparts as closely as possible. By doing this, many old school GTA3 fans will enjoy a nicer looking game while not feeling far from home. While this is not a total retexture, roughly 80% of textures seen during gameplay are replaced. There is no fancy business or messing around here. This is what we already know and love, with an all natural feeling update!     Enhanced Vehicle Extras This modification is too simple and just aims to add extras to some vehicles from GTA3 and GTA Vice City. _______ Extras present on GTA Vice City has been backported and adapted to some vehicles from GTA3, since just a few has extras in that game. I did some custom extras, and some others comes from GTA Liberty City Stories. Screenshots: *Some extras are missing in the screenshots because I didn't spawn all of them, so discover them while playing the game. Download Well since the extras for GTA3 that I did above are from GTA Vice City, I'm planning to make slighty edits or create new ones taking base on current ones, also port some San Andreas extras that would fit strictly the atmosphere of the game.     2001 Washington

    When browsing files from the GTA III Mobile Version, I found an unused model, called mysteriously "continen". Upon importing the model into 3dsMax, I came to the conclusion that it's an early Alpha model of the Vice City Washington!!! Jokes aside, after some heavy thinking one night I came to the conclusion that the Kuruma was replaced by the Washington in Vice City. Why? Both share the same engine noise, the same ID, both have an FBI variant and the Washington had the same rear lights texture as the Kuruma in the Beta of GTA VC. Later on, I had this idea to make a custom car based on the original VC Washington. I took the III Kuruma and started remodelling and remodelling and remodelling... until I was sorta satisfied with the result. I also took inspiration from the SA Washington to make it seem like it's been progressing over the years... Then @MrFinger joined me on this and co-created it with me. He also did the Xbox textures. GTA SA UPDATE 04.02.2016: All vehicles from this mod are created by the game only (not by a script). I've always wanted to make a decent wantedLevel mod involving Hydra attack and this is the best I can do. This extra star mod was originaly meant to be only for GTAIII & VC. Later I decided to make it for SA... So why would you try this mod again when I already made it for GTA SA? Well, the original SA STAR7 mod have many problems such as: - all wanted level ground vehicles from STAR 7 were made by me and not by the game, - the mod has too many codes instead of just one [or two], - police boat patrols [predator - game created] are disabled, - wanted level 7 in the air is still the same - 2 hydras and police helicopter... So here's the improved version: - all game created vehicles are now enabled at 7th star (including WL boats), - there are no vehicles created by the script - everything is game related, - increased the maxWantedLevelChaos limit, - increased the limit of max HYDRA planes created by wanted level system, - if you're driving a car on the open road or somewhere else outside the cities (like rural areas, highways...) only one HYDRA will attack your car [also game created], - only tanks will be present (army trucks will show up only on roadblocks), - instead of the NSA agents I bring back the soldiers again and not just in cars but also on foot, - if you go to the restricted areas like military zones or if you leave the town at the start of the game - you will get 7 stars, - max wanted level will always be 7, - standard cheats for wanted level are still active, however six star cheats like 'BRINGITON' will activate 7 stars, - besides them I added 4 new cheats: - STAR7 - STAR6 - STAR5 - CLEAR It's obvious what they do right? Install: Just extract all files from my archive into the modloader/CLEO directory: [if you're using the old version of STAR 7 mod for GTA SA then you should remove it]. Supported game version: GTA SA 1.0 HOODLUM Credits: To modify cheats I used this cheat table created by fastman92 There're many ways to modify this code so it might be possible that STAR 8 will be released as a new WL mod in the future.

  23. I took Toni's LCS head, used his GTA3 texture and put it on Luigi's body (also removed the tie and retextured it). I think he looks pretty lore-friendly, I like it share your opinions.     SCM Variable Usage Analyzer

    This is rather a quick and dirty pyhon script than a tool, but it gets the job done. SCM Variable Usage Analyzer 0.1 by GoodIdea82, 2015 This is a quick and dirty python script. It analyzes in which sections of main.scm (main, missions, external scripts) local and global variables are used. It requires that the main.scm has been decompiled with SannyBuilder. It should work with any main.scm, e.g. SA, VC, LC. Usage. Edit the script and change the dir variable so that it contains the path to your main.txt. Generate main.txt by decompiling main.scm using SannyBuilder. This script reads the decompiled code and creates the files variableUsage.txt and sideEffectFreeVariables.txt. The file variableUsage.txt finds for all sections (main, missions, external scripts) which variables are used. After each variable it lists in which other section the variable is also used. The file sideEffectFreeVariables.txt finds all variables which occur only in one section and do not occur in main, mission 1, or mission 2. Hence, the side-effect free variables are used only locally in a one section. Actually not variables are analyzed but variable expressions. For example the array access $123($45,i4) and $123(3,i4) may refer to the same variable if $45=3.
