I'm definitely not a fan of mods like that, i'd rather go with something more realistic, something that fits GTA more...but then again we have zombies, rail guns and aliens now dunno...I feel like GTA turns into Saints Row lately and given the manner in which R* chosen to release their additional content even strengthen that fact! There were lots of dlc packs, that added mostly silly items in SR game, consisting of cloths/vehicles/weapon and its upgrades! You can spot the exact same tendency with R*, even Firework Launcher (which does almost no damage and is there just for gags!) is there to prove my point! If you followed recent SR game and its additional content you'd understand what i mean...

Jesus f*cking tap dancing christ. NO. Your argument is the one that's invalid. It does NOT matter in the slightest what games revealed their requirements or when. So many games do it differently that it's useless comparing them. Here's a few recent releases that released their requirements closer to the release date: Far Cry 4 - 11 days before release. Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes - Were not finalized until ONE DAY before release. Game of Thrones (Telltale) - 8 days before release. Even Rockstar can be used in this argument. They didn't release the Max Payne 3 requirements until within 2 weeks of its release date. Because The Witcher 3, or Dying Light, or Saints Row Gat out of Hell has released requirements already means nothing in respect to GTA. They're all different developers/publishers and ALL of them release this information at a different time frame. Shadow of Mordor released its requirements almost 6 months before it was out. And arguing about it and using "Well this game already has them" means nothing and indicates nothing. They're across the board different. Stop comparing GTA 5 to any other game or publisher in existence based on the damn timing of requirements being released. THANK YOU ... this is why ive tried to tell people in the past and failed!

I agree that GTA V wasn't a revolution in any way. Thats not really my issue with R* though. Just not really happy with the direction of characters, story etc since SA. Innovation can be good and bad, look at the mess Saints Row morphed into. Innovative, full of new gameplay etc but it totally lost its heart in the process.

How do people find playing with auto aim on, or a hud on to be fun?
Crimson Flam3s replied to MonsterCockDude's topic in GTA V
Exactly why Saints Row is perfectly made for free-aim and GTA V just is not. The overly accurate robocop AI will shred you before you know it! Ever played the Online portion of this game? Good luck playing it on free Aim.The ONLY reason why I play AutoAim (Assisted Aiming) is because of the terminator-degree cheating AI. Its not even fair with AutoAim, let alone Free Aim. In SP, they are kinda fine. But MP? You either are a FreeAim God or you have a deathwish for playing FreeAim in Online. Its evened out against real players but against the AI, good luck with that. What is so hard about online missions in FA?I honestly have more difficulty playing against good players online than vs the AI. The way missions are approached in FA in AA is mostly the same, specially hard difficulty. AA won't allow you to stand in the open vs 5-10 guys, you will get murdered. You still need to take good cover and positioning. Cover shooting helps a lot as well, and if you have a group of enemies then you straffe and headshot kill them all in FA whereas in AA you woulf have to lock on and switch between everyone of them. The only real difficulty in this game is the number of enemies. Of course someone who's just "decent" at FA will have greater difficulty but that's just expected. Not everyone can have the same skill in competitive games. Except AA shooting/aiming skill specifically is mostly the same for everyone lol I never said I stand in the open like a retard. Exactly explain to me why I get insta-gibbed WHILE BEING IN COVER from a gangsta thug wannabe with a piss-tol.Then you are obviously taking bad cover. I can literally kill lots of enemy AI in a certain survival just in cover with a rifle. And you already know how much damage those guys deal in hard diff right? Until the sh*tty spawning system makes em appear right behind me that is lol. Sounds to me like you just need to work a little on your FA. You on ps4? -

Actually you did.. but nevermind. You stated yourself you were a fanboy/stan, I never was one so no need to take any glasses off in my case. Not everyone but SOME people, and those are fanboys/stans who act as if GTA's features were the most original thing since human kind discovered fire. A vocal minority that acts like Rockstar can't do wrong and everything they make is original are not majority of fans. Most people simply appreciate the addition of FP camera and the way it was implemented. It is a good addition and they did a pretty good job at it. That's it. No need to search for one thing that nobody has done better before, can you find a game that combines so many features with such level of quality? That's the whole point of GTA, as some have already pointed out. GTA doesn't have the best of the best features, but it is the most successful when it comes to combining many features in one seamless experience and it does that better than any other game that is it's competition. Mafia's free roam is nonexistent, Saints Row is all over the place, Just Cause world is bland, radio nonexistent and driving bad, Sleeping Dogs world was forgettable and driving atrocious etc.. all those game have one or two features that are done better than the same feature in GTA, but overall they fall short at having good quality as a whole game. GTA is the best at that... and now it comes to mind, I've never played a game that has better radio than any GTA.

Well if you want such things leave GTA and go play Saints Row 4 sir

Like all the weapons in GTA4 looked just like the weapons in real life where as the weapons in GTA5 looked like they were a mix of two guns put in to one. Was it to avoid copy right issues with real weapon manufactures? Because I also noticed even Saints Row stopped modeling their guns to look exactly like the real versions of the weapons. And did anyone else find it dumb Rockstar decided to go with this design for the assault rifle http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140823201059/gtawiki/images/8/8c/AK1.png Instead of this? http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120502141713/gta/ru/images/1/1d/AK-47-GTA4_(1).png Doesn't it make more sense for gangs in the US to be running around with the Russian wooden stock version instead of an upgraded Chinese version? I don't know, just some of the weapons did not fit in very well. I thought LAPD cops use an M9 for a pistol. Rockstar at least have the cops in GTA4 use Glock 22's just like how the real New York police use them and I thought that was cool but I just feel that all the weapons in GTA4 fit in better.

Shawn Fonteno says he's currently working on GTA V DLC
taoofme replied to Mr Makaveli's topic in GTA V
Is there anything about this game you don't troll,I mean complain about? And who gives a fukk about the damn subway?!? Oh wait, this just in...just you. A lot of people care about the subway system in GTA it was functional all the way back on GTA 3 so why couldn't they get it working as well as it works in Watch Dogs + let you see it in first person? Look at the loads of videos on youtube about the subways in Watch Dogs, look at the amount of people who agree with me or like my posts about the transit system being a downgrade compared to GTA IV. How can you accept or support downgrades in terms of gameplay, and story compared to other games in the series or genre? How can you be happy with the direction that R* is taking the series less away from actual crime and more into wacky stupid sh*t like breaking into an aircraft carrier? Them making a DLC and turning the game into zombies or aliens wouldn't be to far fetched unfortunately even though they still need to make an actual crime game. It's called Grand Theft Auto not Grand Theft Military Fighter Jet. A few fanbois of yours liking your rants about a subway do not a majority make. It's an element in a game. Whether it's funtional or set dressing, doesnt really matter. Hell, it barely if at all figures into the plotline of the game as a whole. It's a trivial point of minutia. As for Watchdogs, it doesnt have a dog in this fight. What their programmers did has little bearing on GTA5. It's not a matter of "accepting a downgrade." I never saw it as a boon to begin with. Again, it barely figures into the plotline of the game, and I prefer other modes of transportation within the game. I'd rather not sit in a train, modeled after another train, modeled to look dirty and filthy, and marvel at the polygons they used to make those curved walls look curved. Why you have such a hardon for the subway, few people can understand. But hey, you seem to take the opportunity to troll every aspect of the game. At least you are an equal opportunity troll, I'll give you that. Persistent too, so you have those character faults working for you. You'll go far kid. As for direction, breaking into an aircraft character isnt exactly a new direction for R*. In San Andreas, CJ had to get onto the aircraft charactrer to steal, *GASP*, a Hydra. Sound familiar? So zombies and aliens aren't wacky? I'll tell you what they are. Marketable. So long as GTA doesnt devolve into an atrocity similar in scope to Saints Row, I'll patronize it. I like the plots, the graphics, all of the general elements. I do not, unlike some, fixate on minutia thats not relevent overall. In case you took no notice, most of the general crime plots within each game, mirror other missions from other gta games. There isnt a lot of room for creativity there. So they have to get creative in how they re-present the older missions, and intertwine them into the story. Then they have to figure out fresh new concepts, things that currently appeal to gamers. Zombies in Call of Duty make any sense? No. But the fans like it. So it's there. R*, seeing the benefit of such a spinoff, may decide to do something similar, because it boosts their market share. It almost sounds as if you had nothing to complain about, you wouldnt be happy. While you think that a subway is an important point of detail for a game the size and scope of GTA, most fans here do not care. GTA as it stands is a game well beyond its peers, and they execute it very well. I could sit here and pick apart watchdogds on end. Motorcycles the drive like they are on rails? Vehicle dynamics that make no sense, no sense of speed while driving, damage dynamics that are nonexistent. Yeah, nothings perfect. But Rockstar strives to make as perfect a game as they can, and appeal to as many as they can. You are just part of a very small, overly vocal subminority that can't get it through your head, that your particular wants aren't real high up on R*'s programming list. -
Mm...Another Saints Row 2 feature R* could learn from!...And someone is calling Saints Row - GTA clone... They did custom outifts in bully a couple of years before saints row 2. So it's a bully clone

Almost everything you expected but didn't happen will be a DLC
Official General replied to WertyRO's topic in GTA V
Exactly man. I forgot to mention that zombie/alien stuff, yeah f*ck that too. The way some people on here peddle those bullsh*t ideas would have you thinking they want to turn the series into another Saints Row 3 and 4. SA was based upon the LA gang scene of the 90s. That era has long gone, the LA gang scene has changed a lot. The same gangs are there, but different dynamics and politics. Now it's not just red vs blue, you got intra-gang wars like red vs red, or blue vs blue (set trippin'), racially-charged gang feuds (Hispanic Surenos and Black gangs in 'brown vs black' conflict.). I obviously don't want another SA, but I certainly want some gang action - it would be a damn sight better DLC than more of the stupid, boring government/agent stuff AND that zombie and alien bullsh*t. And to those saying the SA gang wars was annoying, fair enough, but a gang war feature in V could easily be an extension and improvement of the Gang and Drug Wars in EFLC and the armed back up feature from IV (Dwayne's Boys), and the drug-dealing mini-game from Chinatown Wars. That would most definitely be a bundle of fun and excitement. Robbing rival drug dealers of drugs and money, fighting rival gangs for turf for drug sales, or simply just blastin' at fools because you don't like them. When you are not busy shooting at haters, you're busy hustling and selling drugs, and stackin' that money. Classic GTA sh*t, the essence of the game that made many of us love it in the first place. I can almost guarantee you that most people would not complain about that if it that stuff was also in V, they love Rockstar all over again like when they first played GTA. -
Yeah true but who says the game has to be so realistic, It's boring that way, We need a realistic game but yet again not so realistic that's what give us the fun, Just cause it doesn't snow there doesn't mean it doesn't in LS, saying their are players that liked it and didn't I liked it for a second but then it would be good to have to even switch back and forward get me add a city that does snow, We have the snow cheat but it doesn't stick like the storm that happened on online. Don't get me wrong your right but not so right. What happens when you make GTA less realistic? Saints Row. You were saying?

I really have no other words for it. It's alright as a celebration over Christmas I guess, but even that gets old fast. If the next GTA is set in Detroit, or somewhere northern, however, I will be disappointed if it DOESN'T snow.

Why wasn't snow added in the first place?

Saints Row is a totally different type of unrealistic but, GTA has its times were it can be unrealistic play all I'm saying is snow wouldn't hurt, Saints Row is more of a unrealistic arcade type of game it just had a lot of stuff thrown into it and stupid weird story plots, Unlike GTA gives you a feel of the real world while playing but yet again gives you a feel of gaming, Saints Row is sh*t no offence if you're a fan lol but get what I'm saying here im not talking about making the unrealistic yeah it's based on LA but who says LS can't have snow I wouldn't want snow in LS in the first place I would like it in a different part of San Andreas so we would have a choice of wethers get me, Snow could of been added in the first place but chose not to add it which I think is a little silly as we start off in snow in the opening mission. -
I never said otherwise, I'm sure there is. But I'm gonna guess that it's mostly GTA fans from the younger crowd who seem to find it very funny to see anything slapstick, outrageous, or with a shock factor, no matter how corny or cliched it is. Trevor is a prime example of that. I find some parts funny, i know a couple of players my age who find parts funny too, obviously not all of it, Trevor with his dick out is more disgusting than funny for me. Not because I'm immature, I like a wide range of funny things. It's so silly it can be funny, if you like silly and immature stuff. If not then you will hate it. The lost and damned had a characters dick out, for shock value, nothing else. S.A had 69 jokes everywhere, Andy Dick on the radio who's far from subtle, and a dildo weapon! Something in common with saints row 3 They're all a bit hit and miss when it comes to comedy. V went over the top that's for sure, compared to IV anyway, but luckily, you can turn the radio off, that gets rid of any jokes when driving, you might see Trevor with his dick out after completing the game, if it's a problem, kill him, then that's gone. Don't read any billboards. It might make it more bearable.

that's basically the review for Saints Row 3 and 4 ! LOL -
Yes, keep a save with the car in your garage before getting it seriously damaged then reload that save whenever you want. I find the simplicity of old school saving much better than going through all the tracker and insurance claim portion available online. Sure that should have been in SP as well. But, I'd want to see more nice features for the existing uninteresting vehicle storage system, and customization ( as mentioned above; Saints row, for instance ) and no occassional bugs/glitches relating to saving them either!

I want that sh*t to be in my face every time I exit a game. Just like that Saints Row pre-order I couldn't give less of a f*ck about. Found it.
