on xbox 360 - Time in SP not advancing.

Simply reloading didnt fix it. Rebooting the xbox now. This is weird Edit: Rebooted and now it works. Had me worried for a moment

on xbox 360 - Time in SP not advancing.

Used to happen to me too whenever I paused the game while next to my bed (or while looking at my phone) I fixed that by reloading my save, or rebooting the game, have you tried that? Good luck!
  5. I have the same problem, here my mail to Rockstar after they suggested to check for updates, reboot my system and delete all my data: Thank you very much for your effort and your help in this case! I did the mentioned suggestions from your previous message (entering safe mode, checking for updates (none), no display and sound issues and im a bit reluctant to wipe out all informations on my ps4, as im sure it it is an game internal problem, that the street races are not spaning. It is the very only problem that i have but it prevents me from playing the game to 100%. The two races (freeway, vespucci canals) are not showing on map ( after 9 pm, on the programmed locations) even if i got the E-Mail from Hao that the freeway race is available. Before i really wipe out all my data: Is there a possibility that it`s just a bug which Rockstar will take care of in an future update? Thanks again for you assistance and a nice end of the year for you! Here my stats for anyone to check: http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/ps4/career/checklist Hope we get this sorted out really.....

All Niko's Easter Eggs in GTA 5 Revealed!

Nice; there were a few I didn't know about it. Remember the day when "multi-universes" guys used to say no one from previous GTA games will be in GTA V let alone GTA IV since the roman numeral depicts the start of a new "era"? Those were the days. Thank god those "multi-universe" people are gone now. Anyways back on point, where did you find the wanted poster and the yellow jack inn? I want to see them too I guess I could find the inn with google but is there any specific house or building with the wanted poster? There are three universes - 2D Universe, 3D Universe and HD Universe as announced officially by R*, but to me it was always f*cking obvious that GTA IV rebooted the world and V takes place in the same one as IV. Back then, I could only see people on the polar opposite sides - those who thought that all GTA games are in the same universe and IV takes place in the same city as III, and those who thought that V would for some reason start a new era when there's no reason to.
  7. Ah just a few seconds ago my ps3 froze so i rebooted it launched GTA 5 it said Game Data is Corrupted, then something about Its downloading the files again or something.. It is now 1027 out of 6049 and stopped.
  8. Ok, if I were you I'd start again. Uninstall everything, reboot then reinstall. If you still have problems, take the game back to the store and ask them to check it, if the game disk is ok then you will need to use a USB memory unit as this would indicate an issue with your console hard drive.

Official GTAV Whine and Complain Thread

And what would that be? It's being different. Rubbish. And IV wasn't even trying to be different. In my opinion it was an attempt to modernize the GTA series and it worked because eventually playing in a world that looked like cartoons got old. It still genuinely felt like a GTA. And it didn't have to be like SA to feel like a real GTA.Well said. I've always felt like GTA IV was a "reboot" of sorts than something trying to be completey different.

Will GTA V be DirectX 11 only?

Their recent PC games were solid ports/versions so I was little surprised . I expected better optimization but the moment they posted sys req everyone knew it's going to be a terrible port.Titan can't run it in a constant 60 FPS all the time xD. Remember Me,Devil May Cry Reboot&4,RE6&5,Street Fighter,Dead Rising 2.They were all well optimized games so I'm disappointed with DR3.

    Sabre Turbo After 100% Completion?

Basically this is because of the messed up spawning-circle for cars. Lots of people reported that and Rockstar is looking into it to patch it. I mean sometimes you just can't get different cars to spawn no matter what you do, the car-pattern stays the same until you reboot the console.. Sometimes you get different spawns by changing the car you drive and sometimes nothing works! Im pretty sure its a bug. Ps.: Please consider reporting this issue to Rockstar via their Support-Site! https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/de/requests/new Just open a ticket and describe the sayed issue.. Also look into this thread here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/632807-same-2-3-cars-spawning-bug/ Greetz, SonLantos_88

[PS3] How to fix the missing textures/freezing issue

I'm so sick of this piece of sh*t game freezing up. I don't f*cking understand it at all, Most of the time it just freezes on the loading screen, and the occasion that it does get into the game, it will often work for about 20 minutes then freeze up right after displaying blurry textures or in-game music coming to a stop. Not even rebuilding my database made the problem go away. Is it the console? All my other games work fine. Is it the disc? Not a scratch on it. Is it the game? This never happened before I rebooted my PS3 after my hard drive died on me. I don't even know what's causing the problem. F*ck this sh*t, all I'll say is I can barely play the game anymore. Woe is me.

Are you expecting GTAV news on GamesCon (August 13-17)

I don't think GTA V overshadowed E3 Most people weren't so entushiastic about it since it's just a reboot of an old game now New titles and sequels were much more important than GTA V It didn't overshadow e3 because they showed it at the end, and for a reason, if they revealed it at the start or mid, everything else would be ignored and forgotten. I know it sounds ridiculous but its true more or less..

    The IV versus V debate

When it comes to IV versus V, I gotta go with IV. V is the better game. Both games do have throwbacks to past games. In V Trevor does Rampages. In IV Niko has telephone missions. To make the ultimate Grand Theft they need to quit being like Madden games and omitting a hot feature, or key feature in favor of a new fangled one. Example... The steroids from GTA III and Vice just disappeared one day. Then in GTA IV we lost rampages... No crazy monster truck rampage in GTA III? Hare Krishnas? Gangs? Car oil slicks and weapons? ( We did get a Dodo tho') If you combine the ORIGINAL ideas, and the current ideas of Grand Theft auto... They should ditch that cover with the panels, and REBOOT! Like the original Three cities/ levels. If they are creative enough they could even do all originals on the radio... even though I did not I repeat I hated it in Liberty City stories with the exception of a few songs... Funk in time being one, and thankfully that song carried over to the HD universe.
  15. They said LCS wouldn't release for PS2. It did. They said VCS wouldn't release for PS2. It did. They said old characters wouldn't carry over. They did. YOU get over it. Because by YOUR idea of logic somebody who ages 29 years and gets a haircut isn't the same person. What does the PS2 Ports of LCS and VCS got to do with the topic?lol what a lame-ass examples, and as many people have said the 3 Universes are Separate and it also Official from R* there is not me or you or anyone else can do about that, hence the Multiverse Module that GTA use is a great one and a perfect module instead of Total Reboots cough (Tomb Raider,DMC,Mortal Kombat)cough.

    The IV versus V debate

With every release, GTA brought new things, evolved, reached its best. SA was the evolution of III and VC. It was wonderful. When IV was released. People yet were amazed with SA and of course wanted more. IV had not. GTA IV was a reboot. Was something different. People wanted freedom and IV brought realism. That's why some people hated it. So GTA has set two standards, two games with different focuses and great in their own, which together could be the most amazing GTA we could expect for. I do think people thought V would be a fusion of SA+IV. A mix between realism and freedom. GTASA with all that freedom (lot of things to do, large and varied map) GTA IV with all that realism (physics, car mechanics, story and graphics) V removed the physics/story of IV and is more likely a weak reincarnation of SA, plus a lot of flaws. Of course V has hate and in purpose and I do agree with it. Here are people saying that V is hated as IV was, and probably VI will. But GTA IV did brought a new perspective to the series. V has 3 characters but it is not enough to compare. V is a fail in my opinion

R* broke the "ERA" rule when releasing for Current-Gen.

OP seeing that V is extending the Franchise Lifetime Platforms to 17 (and 4 Generations of Home Consoles) and it an HD Era game,it just shows that the HD Universe will live on forever until maybe a total reboot or they stop making GTA...Now with that said,i dont see a #6 in the Franchise for a while, not now with V's NG Remake...It will be an evolving GTAO,two/three major Spin-off game (within 2015-2020) then GTA6.

R* broke the "ERA" rule when releasing for Current-Gen.

Oh god... The whole ERA thing is just R* trying not to get half the GTA fanbase butthurt over the fact that all your favorite characters are pretty much gone and that GTA 4 was truly a Reboot of the whole series. "era" was just a way to explain it.

Grove Street & CJ: Hd vs 3D In GTA5

Same with Miguel, only he was "killed" in 1998, and nobody EVER said LCS wasn't linked to 3. I'm pretty sure that was overlooked by Rockstar. Hell, it's not even confirmed in the story of LCS that Miguel is fully dead, pretty much any 3D Universe NPC you "kill" can be resurrected by paramedics. I think Ash makes good points. The only things that cross universes really are placenames, fictional brands and in-game celebrities (e.g Love Fist, Lazlow). Other than that, the continuity and city layouts are completely rebooted. I agree it makes things confusing, but Rockstar are free to do whatever they see fit for the series. At least they put a good amount of easter eggs and references to past universes, it just shows they haven't forgotten about them.

    "Caption This!" Photo Thread

Uncle Sam is Big Brother, and he has his eye on you. I know this is risky, but when you're out of toilet paper, sometimes you have to resort to drastic measures. Better peel off some more, I feel I may have a bout of the trots coming on. 'Welcome Back Kotter', the gritty new reboot. With car chases, explosions, and Horshack won't take sh!t from anybody this time around.
  21. Hello, i came here to ask if anybody had problems with GTA V first mission where you after robbing a bank, shooting down some cops and then entering a car, and after cops shoot down your friend (driver) they push him out of the car and when it comes to you to driver the car, the whole console and game freezes. I have to reboot the console to start everything again, tried rebooting, tried clearing cache, installing again, Nothing works. I have Xbox 360 (4gb) 2011 with HDMI port (i have connected an external space 32gb) . I play on old school TV with no HDMI. Did anyone had/has this problem and could help me on trying to fix it? (Sorry for my bad english)

    Same 2-3 cars spawning bug

Today I got an answer from tech-support ! Nothing we havn't tried allready.. Hello, We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with how the cars are spawning on your PlayStation 3. Let's see if we can change how the random car generator picks which ones to spawn with the steps below. Before troubleshooting, please check the following: a. Turn the console off and on. b. Unplug all power cords and accessories, and then plug them back in firmly. Make sure all connections are secure. c. Update your console software. 1.) Clearing the Game Data Utility: a. In the XMB home menu, go to (Game) > [Game Data Utility]. Important: Make sure you select [Game Data Utility]. Do NOT select [saved Data Utility], as this will delete all of your saved games files. b. Highlight the game data utility file (i.e., name of a particular game you have been playing) you wish to delete. c. Press the button and select [Delete]. d. Highlight "Yes" and press the button to confirm the deletion. e. A message indicating the file is being deleted will appear. f. A "Delete completed." message will appear once the file has been successfully deleted. g. Once all of the files have been deleted, go back to the XMB home menu. h. Reboot the game. You should be prompted to reinstall. **Please note, if the game freezes during installation, please check the following article: http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200195537-Freezing-during-GTA-V-installation- 2.) Ensure your PS3s firmware is up to date (settings > system update - on the main menu). 3.) Restore File System If it is up to date then once again delete the game data. Next follow the steps below: a. Turn off Playstation®3. b. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again. c. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps d. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button. e. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button f. The Recovery menu will pop up. g. Select Restore File system h. Repeat and Rebuild Database 4.) Install the game to a new section of the Hard Drive. Another possible troubleshooting step would be to attempt to install the game to a new section of the hard drive. Typically, when installing, and reinstalling games, the system will attempt to reinstall over the same block of space on the HDD. While there is no function to manually force the game to install on a different block of space, there is one possible workaround that might force the game to install on a new section. Basically, what we are going to do is uninstall the game, clear the cache, and then install some unrelated data to the Hard Drive, which should get installed to the block of space where GTA V was previously installing. Please try the following: a. Uninstall the game from the Games and Apps folder. Delete everything related to GTA V that is not a save file. b. Clear the system cache, as was described above. c. Install about 7-8GB of unrelated content. If you have your console connected to the internet, the simplest thing here would be to download a bunch of demos from PSN. The content is unimportant, you never even have to play the demos, the point here is to just eat up some hard drive space, and when you reinstall GTA V, force the console to install the game to a section that was not previously used. If you do not have a a connection, installing 10-12 music CDs should use up enough space, although more might be needed. The idea here is to try to use up approximately the same amount of space as GTA V's install, which is about 8.5GB. d. Reinstall GTA V, and see if conditions improve. Best Regards, Mike M. R* Technical Support

R* broke the "ERA" rule when releasing for Current-Gen.

Didn't read any of the posts, but when GTA IV was released, Rockstar said they wanted to do a "reboot" for the series, hence the different "eras". So the "HD era" will end when Rockstar says they're doing another "reboot". If they don't say that, it means it's all in the same "HD Universe".

    The IV versus V debate

Worst? Let me guess, the best before V was SA? If you compare V to IV, IV to SA, SA to VC, and VC to III, then GTA III is the worst. It lacks more than the other games combined. VC improved it, and SA exploded them in size. IV rebooted with new tech and engine, and V built (kind of) on that. So in order for V to exist, IV laid the groundwork. If IV is the worst game of the series, then V can not be the best. The fun is over as soon as the story was finished. Is that really your argument? That applies to every single game ever for me. Therefore every single game in the world, ever, is the worst for that reason. I look at it as a balance. On one side you got IV fans. I'm generalizing here but on the other SA fans. That's the two basic polars. You can simplify it as "story" and "Gameplay" or "hardcore" and "Casual" or however you want to think of it. You focus on the IV fans, and the SA fans feel left out, the scale tips that way. Focus on the SA fans, and the IV fans feel left out. <Insert gif of mike Toreno from SA doing this with his hands). If they focus equally on both, then many people will criticize R* for not doing much to a new game. V would be like IV but with more exciting missions. Now i think that balance can be achieved, but the fact that there's seemingly more money in the "SA" camp, that is to say focusing on the gameplay, or however you want to think of it, That's what Rockstar did. They were never going to balance them both without people feeling left out, so they made V in that style. No one knows if V was the game Rockstar wanted to make or one they felt they should make. Possibly both. The fact that the three character mechanic was considered for SA (and executed in rudimentary form in IV) tells me that V was planned this way from the off. I've been looking at the game in depth. I've said before that each heist allows you to recruit different people. I recruited Ricky for the FIB (parachute) heist and he was terrible. Shockingly bad. The driver sucked too. The mission was affected. Hire someone better and the mission [might] go better. Now each heist is coded several different ways - so about 4 alternatives per heist. Then each heist has 2 methods, so that doubles - 8 alternatives per heist, adding what 40-odd variations to six missions. Then consider the POVs of each protagonist in missions - each mission has to have three levels to it, so that is where i think the story's length has gone.

They were never going to balance them both without people feeling left out, so they made V in that style. I don't like the generalization of Story fans and Gameplay fans when it comes to IV and V or SA, because the gameplay mechanics themselves were superior in IV (subjective), thus providing better gameplay outside of the missions. I can't see anyone criticizing R* for not doing much to a new game if a good balance was made, when the game would have still had a massive countryside and city to explore, and if they still kept old IVMP freemode + the new one, and of course exciting missions. The path R* chose with GTA V was overkill. More options are always better as long as they don't interfere with anything else. Example: An option to remove the red X marks for shooting or the flashing screen would have pleased old fans, and the newbies would still have their aiding mechanics. Or keeping the old IV free mode and having the new one for the sake of people who like leveling up and stupid restrictions.
