Tried to play over the weekend. Saw lobbies 14-18 players, animals but no dynamic events. Poker table lobby had lots of everything. Still getting infinite black loading screens, even for a stranger mission, which was a first for me. -

@UtahRed and I were posting at the same time, they beat me lol I actually just learned this one... It's the same as the other, except rather than quitting at the poker table from the black alert, go to the PS menu and join the same friend from there. I was told the timing had to be at the same time, but I was slightly delayed on the poker table side and hit it first time. -

Although I'm happy to see, at least in my experience, way toned down greifing in general since the update, I'm still having many issues connecting to and getting disconnected from the various game modes. Considering that I usually get put into a game mode already in progress most of the time, it really sucks that I then finally start playing with a solid group of people and actually am kicking some butt in "head for the hills" when I get a disconnect. Just makes me want to load another, more stable game. Or trying to join a simple "Showdown Large" and I"m stuck looking at a loading screen for 5 minutes, constantly wondering if it's stuck or should I wait a little longer before I exit to dash? Not out of Beta at all. Rockstar, are you ever going to let me play the damn game or am I just destined to look at loading screens or waiting for rounds to end for ten minutes? At least try and put me into a game that is almost over? ON the other hand, Poker has been a blast so far. I've played about 5 rounds at various times, and I'm actually up 50 bucks overall. So many dumb, DUMMMBBBBB, poker players in this game, lol. I'm just fine with taking their money all day long, especially the dumbo's who max bet pre flop every freaking hand. Despite those bozos though, I've had a couple solid rounds with good players too. And I must say that freeroam is much better in general, even in the towns and I really like the new defensive/offensive system. -

Played some poker for the first time today. Hate the dumbasses who instantly bet max before any community cards have even gone down. It completely removes any and all skill from the game, which is already heavily compromised based upon the fact that it's a video game and you don't have actual tells, and turns it into an incredibly boring and repetitive game of pure chance. -

do you guys agree that the messages we get about player bounties is pointless and broken? last night after losing at poker i threw dynamite into the valentine saloon twice, i got a bounty and while i was fighting off lawmen, i get jumped by a posse of high level players one was level 300 +, and pretty sure the other was the same, i'm around level 113. they kill me, when i respawn i go into defensive mode and i saw then in the saloon i threw dynamite into the saloon and left. they later attacked me again i pressed charges against them and parlayed. the bounty system should only let you fight off npc bounty hunters. -

Lol, I disagree. There is zero sense in folding because someone can have best cards 7 times in a row. I worked for 3 years in casino (as an accountant ) and I don't remember seeing that twice and even then surveillance team would be on that guy, both times they were kicked out and banned because of cheating . Keep in mind, I am not talking about guy bluffing and winning. He was called and he had better cards but every time it would be one step above 2 other guys and that's what is strange for me about RDR poker. Let's say you have really good cards and you go all in. Well in my experience almost every time one more guy will have same cards you have and the other one will be just step above two of you. And to actually have better cards 7 times in a row (7 out of while playing vs 4 other guys? Chances for that are so slim that every casino would look hard at you after that. -
Even something as simple as adding Poker would make this game 10x more enjoyable.

Not much to bitch about today. With the freeroam missions working a little better my character has gainful employment again. Poker's treating him nice. And the new laws passed by the local Sheriffs have made his life a little less hectic. I think his only complaint at this point would be that he never gets laid. -

I'd be interested in testing it here, but on the World Series of Poker app, if you time out 3 hands in a row you're kicked. I wouldn't be surprised if those kinds of measures are included here as well -

I don't think so... You may be right cuz I know this one poker app where you can buy chips with real money. Idk why but in AAA game this size this would be a pretty controversial move. I think it's too risky for R* to monetize gambling with all the new loot box/ gambling laws in videogames You're actually right... This is hilarious... The gambling law is that as long as you can't play with your real money it's not gambling...so publishers simply put chips to buy and it's magically ok. This still feels real shady Also found a thread on reddit discussing this I still haven't made my mind up yet about this -

FFS the masked players are starting their bullsh*t again. Playing a nice game of Poker and some masked slob decides to go all in before community cards are shown. -
Same, I didn't see them playing poker. Yeah, they reached a point where they can't tell the difference between players of the community who joined them to ride along and other players who just want to grief them. The funny part is that all of this chaos could've been avoided with a simple invite only lobby, but let's go back to what R* said in the past. Rockstar stream team sure did "immerse themselves" in a world full of peace huh, and they sure did "coexist comfortably" with griefers who are killing them and ruining the stream for viewers. Just let us create invite only lobbies ffs

I am looking at said stream on Youtube right now and they went straight to Ambarino to accept a stranger mission from Jake Addler. They did not play poker at the start from what I can see. Skimming through it I do not see them playing poker at all. What I also seen watching a bit of it, the Rockstar devs were acting like dicks and shot anyone they crossed paths with, this came back to bite them and started shooting them back in turn. Even shooting people who were in defensive. This is about 38 minutes into the stream. Their actions certainly answered a lot of questions for me. -

I couldn't do a daily yesterday (well I logged on at 10pm or so) and lost my streak because I finally got hit with the non-stop disconnections. Up until last night I have not had any problems what-so-ever, not sure what is causing this. After 5 disconnects in like 15 minutes, I turned off my xbox and played online poker for a few hours and went to bed. -

When poker players doesn't make their move before the timer runs out, they should really be kicked from the game. Not just auto fold -

And that's the problem, along with the low $25 buy in. I've been playing online poker in a virtual environment for 6 1/2 years where people can buy chips with real money, and it isn't any better. Unless someone gets lucky, which happens, the all in'ers (pot buying) and bullies (those with a high enough chip advantage that throw down large preflops and raises in hopes no one calls) are usually the first to go out. From my experience anyway. There's also a difference in how people play (for the most part) depending on the stakes. What I play has 5k, 25k and 100k buy-ins. I'd like to see higher stakes tables in RDO. That's not saying it would prevent idiots, but I think some would play differently if they had say $50, $100 or $250 on the line. Bring on the $1000 buy-in lol. I also don't like how people can join mid-game. Once a game starts, that's it. It comes down to last man/woman standing (winning). As it is now, it's perpetual. IDK since I only played one game, do the antes increase? If not they need to add it. -

My main beef is the fact that I get disconnected. I've had some sessions where the game plays just fine, but I have had many sessions (almost always in race series or a mission) where I am disconnected. Every other game I own plays fine. I very seldom will encounter connectivity issues. Very seldom. I waited to get the game for 2 months because of this very reason. I figured it would be a month before online launched, and figured it would be another month for them to iron out issues such as connectivity. There's no doubt that I would have put some extra money into the game for gold by now, but I see no reason to do so if I have to worry about being booted from sessions. It's not my connection or speed. I state this before some grandiose fan club veteran tries to tell me that this game requires something more than any other game because this one is special. I'll give it a while longer in the hopes that it improves. Until it does, I feel like Red Dead 2 is a waste of time and money. Aside from that most basic thing, I'm wondering about the poker, blackjack, horseshoes, duels, and other mini-games that are missing from RDO. I will be extremely disappointed if the connectivity issue goes away, but then there is no poker. I also feel like the griefing, or just random killing needs to be addressed. It has not taken long to come to the conclusion that I might as well start shooting at anyone that gets near me in the open world. Where is the real advantage to being honorable? As far as I can tell, there not a lot to gain either way, other than the satisfaction of causing inconvenience to others, which isn't how I roll. There at least needs to be an option for passive mode like in GTA. That way people can actually accomplish some things that they set out to do, rather than having to be a part of a constant circle jerk. -

So i been sitting back and reading all the complaining in here and youtubers bitching that they cant have everything because gold is too grindy and the whole mode is grindy but what would happen if everything was obtainable by getting better payouts and unlocking things faster by simply ranking up? Everybody would instantly be bitching that they have everything online has to offer and be bored already. I am dissapointed by the lack of clothes like ponchos, better customization with the characters we create..better looking clothes etc. i think we just need to be patient. But i am starting realize that i may not have as much fun with this online as much as i did the early years of gta online and that is sad because i was really looking forward to having fun with rdr2 online I am hopeful that this will change when they add more game modes, poker, liars dice, tons of clothes, better character customization and just about everything that most people are demanding rockstar implement only time will tell. -

Sounds like you made your own bed on that one hugh750! Your fellow jailbirds may be more sympathetic - but if I got a bounty notice on a relative lowbie shooting up the town, I'd jump in on the law's side for that. And then I'd go lose my own money at the same poker game, shoot up the town, the cycle continues.. -

R* are too far stuck up their ass, it's only going downhill from now on. Why tf make an online feedback page with dedicated sections and what not when they literally implemented just 2 simple highly requested features so far... Ponchos and poker. They waste resources on this beautiful website for feedback and do absolute minimum to actually deliver. Your feedback is irrelevant to them. They only do what fits THEM and what they have planned and what PROFITS to make their investors happy and poor Strauss Zelnick can buy a sandwich for each microtransaction that dumb fanboys openly support... I'm just so frustrated with all this sh*t this company is pulling off recently... I used to like em
