I predicted it would take exactly 3 updates to patch the poker lobby glitch and that's what happened... This is now the worst update ever. Atleast MTU lobbies still work but I can't play with both PS4s in a private session anymore.... Absolute garbage.

Happened me last night. Was playing poker and a female character just kept Max betting so I left. She left too and ended up in same lobby as me and started making chicken emotes behind me. Didn't think much of it but she started following me around. Then she pulled out her lasso and tried to hog tie me (I was in Defensive Mode), so I shot her in the face. She immediately pressed chargers and kept following me. So I thought f*ck it, and repeatedly killed her till she left. Now I've high hostility lol. How long will that last?

So it's out of Beta? Im gonna actually try it again hope they still listen in future. Defensive mode, poker, new story missions, I can actually play this now? Well lets hope this lasts and Maybe lol GTAV can get love with Freeroam griefer mess as well with a larger DLC coming. I can dream but might be ramping down changes with GTA even more from seeing this today think'n there's no hope for it unless they use that damned feedback.

This really isn't a bitch about the game, but why do people max bet in Poker when they first receive their cards? The ones that do that, usually end up losing or winning like 80 cents at most.

Those max bet morons are why I haven't played poker for ages. There's no point even trying with them. They usually do it when they have a face card (just one, mind you!), and then they do when they think they're bluffing you to think they have a face card. Even a good pair is no guarantee you'll win, I was dealt a pair of aces once, built the pot up nice and slow so as to not scare anyone off, lost to 2 pairs, 2s and 8s if I remember correctly. And also why I'm not too keen to do bootlegger missions, they often glitch out and just waste a lot of your time. Only switching sessions fixes the shack glitch as far as I know, then you lose any benefit from doing the missions. Just pointless. Solo sessions were the answer, everything worked. Apparently the bounty solo session method still works (start a bounty, jump on your horse and take off as fast and as far as you can, if you get a black screen then load back in it worked), but who knows how many tries that will take.

Frustrating night. Go kill rival moonshiners. They have a camp up on the top of the hill overlooking the river. Kill them all, destroy the still, the barrels... mission doesn't end. Apparently there's another barrel SOMEWHERE. Spend half an hour searching before I find it DOWN IN THE RIVER. Sigh. Go to Valentine to tweak the look of my Navy Revolver. Pretty sweet, blued steel with nickel details on the cylinder. Walking out of the store, someone is walking RIGHT behind me. Not attacking or anything, just walking close. I go to my horse to change outfits, she does SOMETHING (don't know what) that knocks down the horse and takes out half her health. Player goes hostile to me, so I walk away. Not interested in her nonsense. I go play some poker. I play 5 hands. First one, I deal myself a pair of 7s. Guy next to me opens with max bet. I fold. Winning hand was 2 pair, queens and 4s. Next hand, I had nothing, folded. First bet was max bet. Same thing on the next hand. Then the next. Then the next. Five hands with NOTHING, every hand every player just goes max bet. Enough of that nonsense. Go back to camp to do a resupply mission. Mission is to protect a supplier from thugs, but he's FAR away, and the route it sets me on has me running up and down the valley, crossing the river three times before finally reaching him. Of course, he's almost dead by the time I even GET there, so I kill three bad guys and he dies. Mission over. So, go collect a treasure map, and head to my nearby moonshine shack. Get a bootlegger mission to poison a still. Go over, it's in a burned out shack. There's a rival leaning over the still, making it impossible to approach it. There's also two guys sitting staring at the only entrance INTO the shack, so there's no way to go in. I might try to wait them out but I've only got 5 minutes. Damn timers. So, shoot them all, blow up the still. Get back to MY shack, and it won't let me in. Zooms in like it's going to... then leaves me standing on the step. Walk away until it lets me run, and I go back and try again. Same thing. And again. And again. And again. Screw it, I give up.

Am I just extremely unlucky or is the new update completely buggy? Story missions outfits always glitchy, knife sticking to my hand, disappearing carcasses and so many small things just glitched or bugged for whatever reason. It's like I'm playing 2014 version of AC Unity with all these bugs and glitches. I really am trying to enjoy this update and the story missions are pretty fun... defensive mode is great but I can't help and feel like R* is not living to its potencial. The biggest complaint I currently have is the economy... Grinding 40 missions approximately for an outfit... Really? They gotta drop it with pushing us to buy mtx. And not to mention they blocked poker in my country despite there being no laws at all prohibiting it.

I just joined a poker game. The first 3 hands the winners all had a flush. How the hell is that possible?! And how can I get my character to lose weight? I haven't eaten in days and I'm still overweight.

The exact reason I've not played poker in game since the week it was introduced, the pre flop max bet players ruined it almost immediately. I've been on 2, maybe 3, good tables, every other table has been a case of going max bet myself or watching the blinds slowly decrease my chips, so it's no fun either way.

Well, something of an experience tonight. Sat down to play some poker. First hand, guy to my left goes all in before the flop, so I fold. He had the Ace and 3 of clubs. Flop is 3 more clubs, so he wins, Ace high club flush. Second hand, guy to my left goes all in before the flop, so I fold. He had the Ace and Queen of Spades. Flop is 3 spades, he wins with an Ace high spades flush. Third hand, guy to my left goes all in before the flop, so I fold again. Now, normally I would just leave, but considering his last two hands, I was curious. He had the Ace and King of clubs. Flop is the 10, Jack and Queen of clubs. He wins with a royal flush in clubs (the last two cards were the 8 and 9 of clubs). Fourth hand, he went all in before the flop. I folded. He had two jacks, won an Ace high diamond flush. Fifth hand, all in before the flop, wins an Ace high diamond flush. Seeing a pattern? This went on for 5 more games, then I quit. He won every hand with a flush or royal flush (of which he had THREE... I mean, consider the odds). Quite a night.

You need friend and poker table to get into one.

I'm also bringing this B&M back- where are my damn shows/movies? After leaving my tenth poker game because everyone is max betting on the first hand, I'd like to watch a show and stew in my anger.

Helping him expand his underworld sports endeavors, would be interesting. Bare knuckle matches, horse racing, rat catching, etc. (RDR2O's answer to Los Santos Tuners) Rockstar seemed very excited about the Home Building EP - it sure would be nice to build a Homestead. If not for ourselves, maybe we could assist NPCs around the map. Who knows, perhaps build a few small settlements in the Grizzlies or help some folks along the San Luis River. Sidenote: Tequila would be nice. You know, Cripps is always telling crazy stories about his old gang. A reunion sounds like alot of fun, robbing a few banks with some old scamps; sitting around a camp fire, learning the history of the Red Dead universe. Maybe, one of them knows Dutch and his gang. Imagine playing poker with Javier or Bill. Yep. 2022, is right around the corner.

today i tried the player bounty (i guess event)?? but the player who had the bounty was in a posse (it was in valentine), but they where tryhards and one of them kept killing me, i failed. after i played some poker i did a bounty (i used my bounty wagon because i had to collect two bad guys) but i accidentally killed one of the bad guys but i delivered the other bad guy to the valentine sheriff, when i spawned back into free roam my bounty wagon was glitched with prisoner still in wagon, the game wouldn't let me put my bounty wagon into storage, so i couldn't call for my horse i ended up destroying my bounty wagon. after i called for my horse and made sure i was in defensive mode, i had another tryhard pull me off my horse and i blasted the tryhard with my rare shotgun, he killed me in return, i normally fightback but this time i did, i lost. sorry about my long rant.

they did fix the horse bonding issue and added poker, but broke just about every thing else

I think this would help overall. Last night I came up against a lucky all in spammer. They took 3 hands out of 4 with junk hole cards, the kind of cards that nobody who at the very least knows how to play the percentages in hold 'em would throw a 5th of their starting chips at. Yeah it's poker, luck plays a part, but habitual all in spam spoils it for me. You can't read players or play with any kind of thought or strategy. All there is left is either backing out when they get lucky or constantly fold until you get top hole cards and hope that the RNG is on your side. But even then, if I'm playing with someone who folds 5 straight hands then suddenly joins joins the all in madness, I'm folding. So the pots you do take are smaller because you're easy to read. Ah well, it's not real money and it's hardly World Series stuff, I've just been looking forward to the possibility of getting poker, so it's been a little disappointing so far. I'm sure some poker crews will pop up soon who might play with a little more etiquette.

I don't mind Halloween stuff in the game, it's cool to have seasonal events, decorations, music, stuff like that. But we're going to see people in masks running around and at poker tables EVERY DAY FOREVER. Ugh. What divergent 1898 earth timeline is this??

Its pathetic that half of the bad critisism here comes from people who havent even played RDO yet and just seen some vids.. Ive got 6 hours in so far, did some story mode and some hunting and some last man standing, and i like it a lot! i love this complete map available to free roam online, sure there's bits and pieces which can be better, but i was positively surprised..And its just a BETA fase!! Some of you guys are just lazy spoiled people.. probably cant even code a line themselves but when there's a bitching opportunity here they are.. Dont get me wrong, it sure has some flaws which could be better, but give them the chance.. its early beta stage. I had no bugs, no glitches, no lag (even in full lobby) no disconnections.. but nothing about that.. lets just bitch and moan and be spoiled brats. For me it was also a positive experience theres just as much wildlife as in singleplayer, i would have thought this would be dumbed down massively. no option to do minigames like poker or blackjack is the only let down for me so far.

Because they are halfwit trolls. At least it's not 'all in' as Texas hold'em actually should be. Playing governor of poker online and the halfwits always go all in EVERY hand. Luck a few times and leave. Ruins the flow.

Pretty sure solo sessions are off the table. They jumped on every solo method I could find, unless poker is still working.

Absolutely agree with you here Commander. Glad the K/D stat got bumped but as a whole I am a little underwhelmed by the stats in RDR2/O, online more-so for this exact reason. Spent on clothes/weapons split into sub categories, consumables or even by location with spent/sold, like 'spent x at Valentine saloon' or on poker even. To know how much I made off maps and looting valuables would be cool too. (I am a former Football Manager nut and I do like my numbers, lol). Just a bit more depth after GTA:O proved really cool for me in this regard.

Is it just me does nearly every single orange contact person not have missions anymore? Seems i have to travel for days just to find a contact person with a mission. Doesn't take long to get bored of riding all over the map looking for something to do. and while I'm here, why the f*ck do we have to leave party chat to play a game of poker. What a pointless restriction on the game.
