    RED DEAD ONLINE BETA LAUNCH

Where did Rockstar state every feature from RDR 1 online would be in RDO? Oh, thats right. They didn't. If you have played RDR 1 & GTAO and STILL bitch about how stuff is implemented into their online systems, thats your fault. It's been the same since 2010. We had to PAY for poker back then and we didnt bitch. If the game upsets you so much you have to post on MULTIPLE topics on a forum, then quit playing until it adds something you like.

    RED DEAD ONLINE BETA LAUNCH

Lol 'Drip fed'. You obviously didnt play the first game, otherwise you would know that Poker was added with the Liars & Cheats DLC.

    RED DEAD ONLINE BETA LAUNCH

I just realised something. Get this... R* is drip-feeding us content for RDR2. Stuff that should be in the game at launch like Poker, Bounties etc is being drip fed to keep people coming back.

    Where's the gambling?

Yeah 4 kings that's the one. I figure maybe they could do something like that if they don't want to crush their little microtransaction thing hell it your money your spending who cares what it's for. Although they will foresee someone making thousands of dollars at poker with no need ever to buy gold, but plenty more will lose more than they win

    A new way to troll....

Absolutely! Never once been against PvP, I tried to embrace it with GTA's switch to public only but basically, I lost. Not good at it, fair play and no real complaints as I found my way with heists and invite friendly stuff. But here I have no choice but quit or put up with it. Just takes so much game away for me that it becomes far less appealing and I'll probably go on to lose respect to the point again I'll quit, or look to jump on the naughty bandwagon and glitch a few bucks to match weapons if I do play just so I have a chance to compete as I'll have to be ready to all the time. Fishing and poker with mates, but of hunting and co-op was all I wanted. We'll see after beta, but if folk think I'll not complain here as well as at R*, they don't know me from the GTA section, lol. sh*t needs awareness. R* Will sell more gold if they enable more than just PvP. Many PvE based things sold like hotcakes over there. If a player has less real time, they may pay. Playstyle is irrelevant, IMHO. It's like a chip shop saying they only sell to credit card payers. But walking past trade is key too. They limit potential.

    TAME WILD HORSES ONLINE

During the intro/horse mission don't the whatever twins say something along the lines of they'll buy good horses once they're up and running? Maybe they're drip-feeding horsemanship. And poker. And trappers. Etc etc etc

PvP it's crazy in the wild west

It's really unfortunate that R* choses to only cater to one playstyle. Of course that same and only playstyle makes up the majority of online games. If I simply just wanted to run around killing I would just play another game more geared towards that. Like Cod or BF. I just wanna stroll through a town with my custom character, play poker with some people in a saloon, go fishing. I mean some of these things you can do, but it will always get cut short by someone who wants to attack you... Really takes all the immersion away that makes SP so great

    online not so great yet

I agree this game does need some more money making opportunities. Money is scarce. I’m not a fan of some of the things that sole cost gold. They are really trying to push buying currency unless you want to grind the heck out of this game. Back in the old days all there was in GTAO was to rob stores and do the crappy Gerald missions. They need to bring some of the story features to online, like the mini games at camp (ie Five Finger Fillet, Poker, Dominos). They also need to bring some more purchaseable equipment to the camp and more customization to camp. Also, bring in some voice acting for the characters to aid in the encounters you have with NPCs. Even if they were to bring that in a little at a time adding over the course of a bunch of DLCs, that would be fine. They don’t even need to hav a bunch of different voice actors. Just a few would work. Just so the character has a voice. The story was fantastic, they just need to make online basically an extension of that to make it a real living and breathing world. One thing they could do for a business is cattle fencing or horse fencing that we could do to make money.

How do you keep yourself entertained?

By playing something else. I cant deal with it until it’s updated. Why keep trying to hunt if people are just gonna posse up and gun me down every time? Cant fish, gotta grind to get a fishing pole. Cant play poker. They wanted to add real money in so had to take that from us. Hopefully it’s updated soon. Trying to convince your buddies to buy the game when it’s like this is impossible

    Where's the gambling?

it matters because they made the prices of items really high in a hope it will draw more to just buy gold bars.If you can buy the clothes with money , they dont want a situation where people can have friends who have a lot of money , just set up a poker game , go there and intentionally lose to their friend , thus basically gifting them a lot of money in no time. Because in their "data" im sure they gather, it would amount to less gold bars being possibly bought if people could do that. Its exactly why they limited what you could gift a person in gta to only money just earned in a match you both just did and it was a limit on even that im pretty sure. They dont want people sharing in game currency that is spent on items, they want the prices high to draw you to the feeling, "well, guess i need to buy some gold bars so i dont have to grind it out so much to get that" .
  11. P.T.

    Where's the gambling?

cant you buy cloths though with money? I feel like they are also not wanting to give people a way to "give" money to their friends by going to poker table and losing on purpose so they can go buy stuff, if they buy stuff with money , they wont have a big need for gold bars. Or can you only by cloths with gold bars? Ive not checked that yet.

    Money rebalancing needed

Having microtransactions in a game like this is like having it in a game of poker where if you are short an Ace, you can just buy one and add it to your cards. It makes no sense from the gamer's perspective. They completely undermine the game. If I'm fighting head to head with another guy and he annihilates by using weaponry that he bought through microtransactions. How am I supposed to feel about that? How can I rate him as a player? Is that supposed to be immersive gameplay?

    Where's the gambling?

Will probably end up being part of a DLC. Pay $1000 (or gold bar equivalent) for exclusive membership to all the poker dens or some bullsh*t like that.

How do you feel about Red Dead's Microtransactions?

Rockstar is fully aware that people don;t give a sh*t about ratings on a box and just put them on the box to cover themselves. They know that kids flock to their games regardless and Rockstar is more than happy to leave them there. But i think because of all the countries now clamping down on loot boxes and gambling in gaming that poker in online in Red Dead would be a step too far for them and they don't want to risk it. This is why the Casino never opened in GTAV Online. They can only push so far and that would be too far for them.
  15. Ice_cold2016

How do you feel about Red Dead's Microtransactions?

They can't have poker when microtransactions are there as then it would be real world gambling and instantly banned. Countries are banning loot boxes because its gambling and young kids are gambling more than ever before because they grew up with video games that are gambling dressed in a different form. A whole generation of kids have been conditioned by the industry and now addicted to gambling or see no problem with expensive microtransactions as such as all these things are normal to them, that's what they grew up with, know and are used to. The gaming industry is praying on the vulnerable, people with addictive personalities.

    Where's the gambling?

except the fact its not free to play online. 1 - the game online came with and is part of the game. It costs 60$ or more . So its not at all free . 2- You gotta have some service either xbox live or psn plus ..... while thats not rockstar, still adds to the costs to be able to play it. Trashnite is free to play , h1z1 is free to play .......they have micros to make money and is only for cosmetics and absolutley nothing else. That is totally fine imo.But RDR2 O is far from being free to play . The micros do provide the means for them to provide everyone with the game with free DLCs , that part , yes i agree that is free and is a good thing. The problem is when they leave out things ( like poker) in order to have micros instead of figuring out a way around it ( which there clearly is ). And the other fact they then over price things so much based on normal payouts , it trys to force people to wanting to buy gold bars with money.

    RED DEAD ONLINE BETA LAUNCH

The story missions are the best thing so far. A breath of fresh air, shame there isn't many of them. Hoping for more content soon, like poker, blackjack, etc

    Where's the gambling?

Better come, poker with others was one of my top wanted activities. The game box even has a gambling warning right next to that 18 rating. Grrr.

    Where's the gambling?

If it doesnt get added i dont know why they changed poker in the first place. Would have prefered real tournaments over that constant npcs buying in and leaving. For online it would have been a good system. I hope its missing because were playing a beta, everything else would be a huge disappointment. I still got the "your gun isnt the only way to solve problems" from the gameplay presentation in my ears...well in online freeroam it looks like shooting other people is all you can do without any consequences again. Bit off topic...but minigames is also a small part of that issue.

    Where's the gambling?

I know! I miss playing poker! The salons are dead except for the music and bartender.

    Where's the gambling?

i am guessing it wont be added and quite frankly its a huge bummer . Me and my friends looked forward to playing each other at poker, playing it offline is kinda boring, ive already cleared the table . Some say , well they can't, but the fact is they can. Its real simple. Add a currency like "poker chips" . You can't buy them with real money , you can only earn them thru gameplay ( missions, deathmatches, races , bounty hunting , etc) . They can then be used at the poker tables and maybe you could buy only supplies with them ( but not clothing since they want you to buy gold bars for that ) . It can be done, but i doubt it will and it sucks and is a huge let down if its not being added . I do highly suggest everyone who wants to see it to use the link they provided for feedback and let them know .Maybe they still wont if you do , but one thing is for sure they most likely wont if we dont use this opportunity we are given here. So the more people say they should add it, maybe they will look into a way to do so. So please everyone , leave your feedback often , we need to help them see what needs to be done here . This game has potential for sure. https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback
  22. the biggest contra is: no online poker because of that..its a shame!!!

    RED DEAD ONLINE BETA LAUNCH

That would be awesome. I just want to know if poker and invite/crew (posse) sessions are on the agenda as presently this is a backwards step in flexibility that I feel contributed to GTA:O's ongoing success.

    Will you use money glitches?

They could easily be the #1 company in gaming, but this type of sh*t holds them back. They could give everyone poker, no gold bars, and everyone gets their damn bow and fishing rod on day 1, but noooo, they let greed ruin this awesome creation they’ve made. I mean, we can’t even play poker, a game mechanic you’ve spent 8 years making, because you would rather sell in game currency? f*ck em, I’m done with triple a games.
  25. Lonely-Martin

    Will you use money glitches?

    Nope, no poker. Bollocks innit.
