All I see Max Payne 3 as is a test dummy for RAGE 2.0 (or whatever it's called). Could care less about Max Gayne 3! FACT! FICTION! Many people do indeed care about Max Payne 3, and I wish it would stop being regarded as simply a test for GTA V. It probably is a test. Why else would they announce it at such an odd time? dude, this is a GTA forum. you going to run into some extreme fans believe it or not. i don't see anything wrong with bashing max gayne here. i find it childish when people come here and cry about people that don't like it. please go to the MP3 forums to praise the game. crying about MP3 on a GTA forum is borderline trolling. remember, just because R* makes a game does not mean we have to like it. GTA V is going to be delayed until 2013/2014 due to Max Gayne 3 and PAgent because R* thought it will be fun to piss off the GTA fans who waited 4 frigging years for GTA V and now has to wait another frigging year or two for it (no bullsh*t about EFLC. They are DLC, not full GTA games). And they feel like wanting to concentrate on some insignificant IPs that will never sell as good as GTA. The R* management are having sh*t for brains, I tell you. I really Max Gayne 3 will tank and that will put R* into their frigging senses and release GTA V by July to save themselves from bankruptcy.

R* told me exclusively today via SMS that GTA V was ready in the beginning of 2010 but they wanted to torture their loving fans like Zee and JoanCrowford so they instead released Red Dad Retired in 2010, LA Boire in 2011 and Max Gayne 3 in 2012. Plus they have pAgent for may 2013 so no GTA V for you till 2014. R* weren't sure if GTA V would have success so used these 4 college projects as a marketing tool for GTA V. And still they aren't sure if GTA V sells more than 20000 copies WW. This thread turned s**t anyway.

seeing how max payne 3 was scheduled for a late 2009 release (delayed until 2012) there could be a long wait. i would rather NOT know the date. it's better than having one that gets pushed back for 3 years. i would be pissed if i was actually waiting 3yrs. for "max gayne" to come out of the closet.

First of all, Rockstar isn't the company that focuses on making one money pit game per year, like Volition or Infinity Ward. They want to make income off of different games, like Red Dead Redemption. Making a new GTA every year would make it seem extremely rushed, because they wouldn't have enough time to put all the extra content in, like in Vice City. You know how San Andreas was developed for twice the time as VC? That was to make the game better, not just to make a clone of the one before it. That's what Infinity Ward does, it's not what R* does. That's why they don't make a new GTA every year. I can explain that, but I can't explain why you're so impatient.

You can't call it "milking the franchise dry" when they haven't released a game for eight years. Maybe you can call MP3 "Max Payne and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" instead for its "unnecessary sequel to long-dead franchise" factors. It's a better joke than "Max Gayne". Also, I'd just like to ask, as you are a Max Payne fan who had accepted the franchise as being all wrapped up, what is your opinion on when the GTA series will come to such a fitting end? It will happen eventually, maybe not for years, but before it gets run into the ground like Star Wars, as all good things do. Unless you believe that's already happened. They need to do somethin with VC, i can't imagine we won't see a visit to Vice in the next installments.
