Please. We NEED to talk about Vice City

So? Seems like you're desperate. Vice City's been shown enough, IMO, we need either something new or San Andreas. 1. The plane ticket on the social club, which says that Niko is flying to San Andreas. 2. The leaked casting call entitled Rush, which is set in L.A (SA) 3. The VG247 report. 4. Rockstar researching the Hollywood area. You're saying that because there's a radio station called Vice City FM you think hat the next city is going to be VC? That's just stupid, I'm sorry if I offended you bit it just is. Your points are absolutely worthless, of course they mention Vice City, it's one of the cities in the GTA world! They can't just go ahead and say, Oklahoma! GTA has three re-named cities, and those are SA, LC, and VC. God, it's getting annoying now.

How far has R* come in GTAV developement

I'd like to say about 90% if they started working on it in 2008, but there isn't much information to go on other than rumors and "leaks" which people are claiming to be fake.

You guys seen this? Massive Leak

Sorry if this is old news to you but check it out. Don't know if it's true but if not it is a good fabricated lie; http://www.gta5rumors.com/gta-5-characters-and-story.html http://www.gta5rumors.com/gta-5---patrol-officer-mode.html http://www.gta5rumors.com/gta-5---vice-detective-mode.html Sample: "We have confirmed that GTA V utilizes a cred system, similar to the honor system seen in Red Dead Redemption (another Rockstar product). The system for GTA V consists of Street Cred or Police Cred and it will supposedly play an integral role in the Grand Theft Auto V storyline, as well the interactions of NPCs with the main character. For instance, police actions like beating a handcuffed suspect or planting evidence will result in negative street cred, while actions like arresting people or stopping crimes-in-progress can boost police cred. Cred of either type can be earned or lost according to our source, giving a small bit of RPG feel to the next GTA game which might bring a whole new level of challenge to Grand Theft Auto fans. The ultimate use of cred is unknown and likely to remain that way until the game releases, but the idea sounds very exciting."

    Here we go again

With all these "leaks" going for the next GTA, and if it is so a Rockstar game, I wouldn't be surprised if it was GTA V. I don't really have anything else to back my statement up with, though. But yeah I agree on that last sentence.

Compensation: Unpaid? I wouldn't take that offer up... As much as I want it to be true, it's probably fake, Rockstar have always made sure that nothing gets leaked.

    Alleged Release Date for 'GTAV'

GAME is the biggest computer game shop in the UK, behind Gamestation. If you play games at all, you'll know who GAME are. They rarely do any good deals though so tend to stay away and buy elsewhere. If you're certain it was on a pre-order sheet, then it could be true. Only one problem though - it would have been leaked by now, as all GAME stores would surely have this list.

In italy, my country, some time ago was relased An artical talking about gta 5, it is quite "old" so the informations are nt so fresh Hovewer, it was reported a day so i report it here (traduced) I don t know how it is reliable, but u ma be interessed: GTA 5 in 2012: good cop or bad cop? Roberto Hunting published Monday, April 18, 2011 According to the German site of the famous chain GameStop, GTA 5 will be available from 15 January 2012. Meanwhile, new rumors leaked on the Web, and there are rumors that the protagonist is a cop. The player the choice to be good or bad. The German website of the famous international chain GameStop has started bookings for Grand Theft Auto 5, fixing the date of sale January 15, 2012. Rockstar has not officially confirmed yet when it comes out of the game, or said they were working on the title, although it is easy to see that something is brewing. To find new information we have to wait very likely the official E3 2011, the leading trade fair to be held in June in the United States. In the meantime, however new rumors have been leaked, unconfirmed, that describe some features of the game. Of course, we invite you to take the following information with suspicion, at least until they are confirmed by someone within the company. This chapter of GTA will have a greater sense of realism, both as a way of gameplay and as the city's size. The setting will be sunny California, with Los Angeles as the main theater of the events (as already mentioned in previous news: GTA V in Los Angeles? Unveiling the first characters?). The protagonist is a young police recruits in Los Santos, and will have the option to choose whether to be a model or a corrupted cop, with a system of moral choices similar to Red Dead Redemption. The ability to buy safe havens will be more important than ever before. The player will be able to rent motel rooms or hotel and lodge in the car parking charges. Among the weapons available to the player find the taser and police baton. You can also stop at the passers-cuffing. The police vehicles, including bicycles, motorcycles and helicopters will be part of the gameplay, but the player must complete driving courses similar to those of San Andreas. Even the gang will return in the episode as a GTA set in Los Santos, only this time you will not fight to conquer the neighborhood. Since you will be part of the arm (violent) of the Act, you can call for reinforcements, and use this service as "self at home", or you can hitch a ride to the taxi that will populate the city. Talking about vehicles, a big news will be able to drive a helicopter gunship. Finally some curiosity. Wandering the rural areas you can encounter wild animals, will make his welcome return to the army and the protagonist will have a vast amount of options to customize your look. If these rumors prove true we would be facing a very respectable fifth chapter, with discrete innovations, especially an unusual cop protagonist. As usual, stay tuned to find out any information on GTA V.

    Your Wishlist for GTA V!

This sounds REALLY strange ... this dude's speech kind of reminded my of Truth, back in San Andreas! Anyway... i'm still trying to figure out what this guy is saying... It was just a way of saying that I, in my desperate search for genuine leaks\announcements, have left the internet and turned to mother nature for clues. Since the world wide web don't provide any Then again, as mentioned a few posts back; Sarcasm don't transfer well in text. It was a sad joke

    GTA V development well underway

I think that Rockstar will throw us for a loop when we find out the setting. People have always looked for leaks and easter eggs that predict the next game and they are always wrong.

    GTA IGN Pictures?!

It's pretty much guaranteed that anything you find on YouTube claiming to be a leak of GTA V is complete bullsh*t or some lame fake; this video being no different. Locked

Of course Gamespot is a reliable source, but we don't know if that source that gave Gamespot this information is reliable. For all we know, it could be a troll. I really hope that this is true, but I got a feeling that this is another stupid leak. IF this is true, I hope the next GTA will be announced in 2011. I'M f*ckING TIRED OF WAITING ROCKSTAR!!

Why I think the "leaks" are fake...

So, what's your exact complaint? The characters wouldn't fit in GTA because they haven't been in it? You don't know the story of whatever it is that R* are (or aren't) developing... for now you have to think they know better than we do. The characters wouldn't fit in GTA because they've already been in it? Not great either... The whole FPS-gamer son sort of makes me think of the geek who owned the RC shop in San Fiero, but that's probably the point of those character descriptions; vague and intended to mean different things to different people. Let's go over the detail of 'leaks' by all means but we'd be arrogant to think we know better than the people building the story.

Why I think the "leaks" are fake...

The first leaks are real no doubt, but the second ones are trolls! RUSH is the codename, hence. Gilbert Gottfried rumor is completely false! (From a troll site) The casting calls can be radio voices, not necessarily story driven characters! (Names can also be changed) The announcement of GTA V is going to be most likely around Saints Row 3 release window!(Payback) Max Payne trailer is coming next month!(Max Paynes anniversary and LA Noire DLC will be out the way) San Andreas is not going to be the main location of GTA NEXT! (I can absolutely guarantee that doing so wont make much sense, unless there's some tropical elements added)

Why I think the "leaks" are fake...

I agree with the person that wrote this article (Chris Hawke). Now some of you seem to interpret that these characters are GTA like, but you MIGHT be wrong. Weed evangelist, FPS playing gamer son, WTF? An 'FPS gaming' character does not seem to blend in with Grand Theft Auto. Now if this was ever implemented into a video game like GTA, it would be boring, and a bit too stereotypical. Also, it just lacks too much characteristics R* would create. I could imagine an FPS gamer, who smokes a lot of weed, in a f*cking Grand Theft Auto game. Just doesn't fit right in IMO. Also, an annoying, wise cracking character. This sounds a lot familiar. It also seems very GTA like. But yet, this characteristic has already been used enough in GTA, and it's arrived to the point where it's overused. Come on R*, give us something new, just like you've done in other previous GTA titles... And now on to the big one - Gilbert Gottfried voicing the lead in GTA V. This, I find the most sh*ttiest. Imagine listening to the f*cking Aflac duck, for the whole damn duration of a f*cking video game. Goddammit, these leaks are just plain sh*t. Rockstar is known for making VERY detailed and interesting characters, and judging by the casting calls we've received, it's come to the conclusion that these casting calls are fake and plain sh*t. P.S: I might have left a sh*tload of details out, but just read the article I've linked. You will change your opinion once you read it. If it really is the GTAV cast I would expect Rockstar to describe the characters with as little detail as possible as they, you know want to keep it a secret not only to keep it a surprise for the fans but also to keep hundreds if not thousands of people from begging for a role in whats most likely the biggest entertainment related product of 2012-13 . How stupid would it be if they straight up gave away what the project was for example, Simon: The main character of production, An often violent trouble maker who is known to spontaneously commit acts of GTA. As for Gilbert Gottfried he may have a connection to the next game but I doubt he's the New guy however if he is the protagonist I say why not, his parrot voice from Aladdin isint his real voice . I think he could pleasantly surprise us and pull off the tough guy role, its not like the job requires him to look intimidating.

Why I think the "leaks" are fake...

The thing with Grand Theft Auto is, Rockstar loves to mock, parody & over-exaggerate pop culture. Whether that be movies, famous news stories, products & advertisements filling up internets, magazines & billboards across the country. I mean if you look at GTAIV you can't go 5 seconds without encountering an instance of mockery. Think about it, what has taken the spotlight away from Grand Theft Auto series while the next game is in development? Call of Duty. This obsession with CoD is something that has passed me by, I must admit, but you'd have to be living under a rock for the past few year to not know about the game. For Rockstar to put even the tiniest reference to it should not come as a surprise to anyone who knows GTA. The leaks shouldn't be cast off just for the trivial reason that a character that likes FPS & smokes weed won't fit into your idealism. These leaks are minor, minor characters in my opinion. Radio personalities, maybe as low as talk show phone-in guests, (if the TV makes a return) characters in a show on the in-game tv. Main protagonists & ancillary characters' casting adverts will be locked up tight, of course. So I wouldn't get too down over the fact that you think it might be boring because you probably won't even notice them in the final game. This. I wouldn't expect to have mayor characters leaked as R* would f*cking flip out,you know how secretive they are,the casting call leaks are practically a miracle.

Why I think the "leaks" are fake...

Bump. There's been a lot of discussion lately about the leaked casting calls. Many people are accepting their contents as fact. The "James Pedeaston" list is most definitely fake, and I suspect that a certain Mr. FiS!!HeR is responsible. It lacks the literary flair of the first list, the characters are too 'obvious' (recycled from old games) and not to mention it was posted only a few days after the first casting call was discovered. What are the chances of that? I'm shocked that so many people fell for this. The first list, on the other hand, is probably real. If these characters are 'lacking something' then it's because they are minor. The other characters referenced in the call - Albert, Simon, and Tae's father - are probably the "A" list characters, whereas the characters listed in the call itself are the "B" list characters. The poster above me has it spot on.

At the risk of getting in trouble... Shut the f*ck up and keep listening to the backwoods lies your toothless family is telling you. Well keep yer toothless comments to yerself buddy! Lol He has a right to hate on Obama just as anybody does...he makes a valid point about employment as well...but back to the topic of GTA V....they'll release a logo before a trailer. That's my guess at least!! He does not make a valid point about unemployment. Do you want me to run out and get a bunch of articles about how is anal sex love buddy Bush created the crap hole the US is in? Would it help if I linked a bunch of articles about the good Obama has done with the sh*t pile he was left with? No it wouldn't because some people enjoy being single minded and stupid. He just needs to admit he is a raciest bastard and hates black people. But yes....usually we get some sort of graphic before any trailer when it comes to GTA Edit: Because I'm in a pissy mood. Would it help if I got some of the articles of the leaked communications from within the republican party where they talk about throwing the election because they knew who ever was going to be next POTUS was going to look bad because they knew it wasn't an easy task to inherit the sh*t pile created by Bush and company. They knew the economy was collapsing and just didn't want to be there to take the blame, thus ensuring them 2012 becaue the country will look at is at Obama failing in his duties.

So it's not R*, ot even Take Two, that is saying this. It could be anyone who claims to be close to R* Games. It could just be GameSpot trying to get loads of hype over the game, so masses more people will buy it when it comes out. Any of this info, if it is true, could have been tweaked by Gamepot or the 'source' to meet their needs or wants. And that artwork is obviously a mock-up. Now, I don't think thorsen-ink(author of article) would tweak the info, but as I said, anything can happen from truth to source's info. Even if this info is true, some things may be exaggerated. Like this: I mean, wouldn't a few leaks about the game's features have happened before it reached this stage? Surely they're not already at this point. Now this I am interested in. Click on the link in the quote(spoiler on linked website), you will find a lot of good, solid evidence at a move to Los Angeles or San Andreas, which I would really enjoy GTA V to be set in. As many of the features in San Andreas were dependant on it being set in the place it was, you can expect to see a return of vast expanses of desert, countryside and city in one huge map. I'd really like to believe that the game is in it's last stages, and that it will be released soon, but there is just a hint of doubt. This may be a PS Vita game, a console game, or maybe both. All we know is that they're working on a game for both platforms.

You're exactly right about that. When the first little bit of info or leaked info/pic release, the whole Nation will be hyped. I don't believe the hype but when it comes to GTA... just love it.

    GTA V leaked vid

As everyone here should know im not a troll! but im subscribed to this guy and he just uploaded this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee3DlnYr7y8&feature=feedu What do you think?

How do they keep their secrets?

Exactly, what is the gain in the leak, look what happened in MW3, the "leaker" didn't gain anything.
  23. TargetTango

How do they keep their secrets?

Sure you can leak it, but why risk your job, money and family over it?
  24. TrevorSpeed914

How do they keep their secrets?

Who says no information has leaked? It's a possibility that a Rockstar employee has said something on this very board; probably had this thread closed by "suggesting" and idea. I think everyone on this board has a habit of dismissing such things. However, if a employee wanted to, he or she could leak something to the press, internet, friends, etc without being caught. Anonymity is a curious thing. If it sells Game Informers, don't you think the GI staff would be willing to keep their sources secret? Do you think Rockstar would profile every single employee to see who did it? As a team, it seems Rockstar is almost like a family. What goes in doesn't come out for a reason. We could sit here and ponder that forever, but I'm more interested in waiting for an official press release than to sit around with my thumb up my ass.

I think R* have better things to be doing tbh. But it would be pretty funny. They all huddle around a monitor and one of them posts on the GTA V forums some fake screen shots they created. "Lets see what these losers think about it, Lol look at 'em arguing the idiots. If only they knew..." think about it though they're a huge company im sure they have a department for that type of thing, leaking fake stuff on youtube and websites to keep us talking about it more, some of the fakes keep getting better and better you have to respect the fake peoples work on sometimes lol A whole department for that? nah,but the guys that handle the advertising might be involved. (and by advertising I mean more than some mere leaked screenshots)
