I agree with this here... I doubt it's the next game. Off-Topic: Where's the leak topic? I haven't been on the V forums for a while so I don't have a clue of where it went. But I'm just glad it's gone. Well the mods decided to lock it because all the off-topicness and trolling on the topic. On one side I'm kind of glad it's now locked 'cause all the trolling was driving me insane. On the other hand, I'm kinda sad 'cause now all those trolls are gonna be roaming the forums, hungry, ready to take any chance they get... But I'm guessing the Report button's there for a reason... so moving on...

Sounds like they are just going to mention what we know already, a round of of leaks as it were. Possibly an exclusive because nobody else has talked about it yet. Hopefully we get something new.

Supposedly, Sony is "coming to E3 armed with jaw-dropping gameplay footage from their new R* exclusive titled: Agent." And considering what has been said about this game----I am really curious as to what this game is all about. We know it is based in the 70's cold war era, espionage, government assassination, etc. But some other details have left me even more intrigued. For instance, in an interview a couple year ago, Sam Houser was quoted saying that this was the game that they had been wanting to make for a long time, and they finally have the processing power, and the financial backing to pull it off like they want too. It's supposedly, genre defining and the type of game that changes the whole landscape to gaming similarly to how gta III did. One other thing to note though.....I can't remember which site said this---but some leak/speculation/rumor was floated that said that Agent would have real world significance. As in, what you do in the real world effects the game?!?!?!? I have no clue what this would mean, or how it would work---but it is certainly exciting. This is a game that was originally in production for the ps2, and now 6-7 years later, we are finally going to get a glimpse of what a Sony R* partnership can do...... On a side note....Max Payne has all but been announced to come out later this year. I believe October is the date most have it shipping on. I can't remember where I read this.....I believe it was referenced in that big Edge magazine cover story about MP3.

The age of the platforms is balanced by the experience of everyone writing for them and the maturity of programming tools and middleware available to them. Games continue to get better and better looking even though the hardware is the same. The mature phase of a console generation is when everyone recoups their earlier investments. Instead of selling games that are barely done to a small base of early adopters they're selling games that are well done to a huge installed base. The advantages of moving to a new platform are really easy to overestimate. I won't argue that. However, Nintendo is known for ease of development. And if the leaks are accurate, we are looking at the same CPU as the 360 (Maybe faster) with a more modern GPU. But what I meant by what I said was that a 6 year old GPU and 512 total combined RAM really can't be called top of the line these days. (That describes both PS3 and 360 btw.) And because of that, Nintendo could easily make something as or more powerful for the same or lower price as the current gen.

What's to say that 'Agent' isn't just another codename for GTAV? We've had 'Rush' more recently and don't they both just seem all too relevant? 'Agent' being the first "name" given to a project, or snippit of information if you like, a deadcert that a project of some shape or from is in the works, empowering information hungry minds to utilise detective like, almost 'covert' skills in order to uncover and decipher the most meagre scraps of information. In the latest instance we have 'Rush'; a very fitting title given to the defining, and most final part or sector of the project, as the developers frantically hurry to finalise the game and give it all the last and final touches... unaware of any revealing slips or slight leaks in their haste.

R* always keeps their f*ckin mouths shut until an official announcement is made. they have never ever leaked anythin and i doubt they will.

Even if those leaks turn out to be wrong, at least it was interesting and they were discussable, so I don't see whats wrong with the thread.

@Ryan what "SECRET"??? wow... more rumor sites and this time it points to LA and the other rumor site pointed to VC... i give up until E3... unless someone who is well respected(Grope- since you knew it was Liberty City) manages to find the slightest hint ACTUALLY leaked from R* and not assumed

I was thinking about this earlier. The use of revelation and genesis had me thinking if anything of relevance from the scriptures would be tied into this somehow. Like another clue. Or that having this info and leaking it like this would give someone a God complex. LOL But I think a poster earlier nailed it by saying that a property you get in Vice City comes immediately after a mission "in the beginning" or something like that. It was on 1102 Washington Ave in Vice. All these things tied together to that blue topic. Another thought I have is that vice came out in 2002. It will be ten years from the original trek through vice. Remember when Rockstar said they didn't really do liberty city justice? Well I think the same could be said for vice. Let's face it. That's an older game now and is practically begging to be redone and revisited proper. More indepth, more detail. I'll be honest... regardless as to where it is I know I am going to enjoy it. Granted that they listen to some of the fan feedback. I was a little (emphasize little) disappointed in the step back we took in terms of gameplay elements when IV first came around. I would like to see some elements return (Car modding, planes, things like that). We nail that then we are good to go!

Both articles could be a fake, and why would someone email thisiswiiu? A site I've never heard off. Well it's the latest news I've heard regarding this latest "leak". But he does make a great point with the flaws he's pointed out.

It's all circumstantial. Liberty City could have been a (logical) lucky guess and the timing before the first trailer could have been purely coincidental. I'm not really too good at analysing people's words and things so maybe if you or somebody else could highlight the specific parts of his stories that related directly to the trailers then I think the arguement could still be swayed in your favour for me but as it stands I see nothing to suggest any inside knowledge on the part of the deepthroat character or the admins. Theres a bunch of stuff mentioned in them. Russians, Vlad.. The key thing though - explain how he could have predicted a IV logo with the manhatten skyline in it? There is no way in hell anyone could have guessed that. And Libert wasn't a 'logical' guess. No one expected them to reboot the city again. I have been thinking of pming a mod, ledby or whatever, to ask if its a good idea to actually start a sererate thread detailing and explaining deepthroats credentials. They could have seen the logo but been told not to leak it or it could have just been another lucky guess. Liberty City and the reboot of an old city were both strong possibilities in my view so nothing all that spectacular there. Liberty City wasn't really done justice the first time around so it would only make sense that they would do it again. GTA III era used the same three cities as GTA 1 so another reboot was definitely on the cards. As the for the Russians and Vlad stuff.. is that actually in there or are you clutching at straws?? @gta__5: That's not true at least one of the Vs changed when the previous one had not been solved.

Well, I'm not good at some things, which is a given, but memory is always spotty, I can't recall if Deep Throat was the one who claimed he was leaking sensitive information (when he was willing to mention himself) from a cafe via laptop and that if caught, while spying or working at Rockstar, his life was in danger (obviously over-blown dramatics) then when silence followed, people here thought something nasty happened to him, Now, if it's a return of the same guy, nothing actually happened, but I can't recall because it's also rumored that several people in the Rockstar Games camp do in fact come here, but they don't do it religiously
