Just to let you know, Red Dead Redemption started production in 2005. True, but it was made by R* San Diego and they had a lot of problems (as has been leaked and documented...not a great place to work apparently). R* North does the main GTA games. I would think that we'd be playing GTA V this Christmas if it weren't for the fact that R* North had to drop everything and rescue LA Noire from Team Bondi (another lousy place to work). Go to the LA Noire booklet and look at the credits. Half the freaking studio from R* North worked on that game. $2 a share. Keep that in mind. NO WAY they get to that figure with Bioshock and NBA. GTA V is coming for fiscal 2013. We just don't know if that means April-May 2012 or October 2012. Don't get happy to early guys, they could have faith in Agent. And as you said, they don't always reach their goals.

Agent is still Exclusive to PS3(can't beat the $2 a share) 2. If Agent is available for PS3 and XBox 360(probably the case ), I still think it woun't be enough 3. GTA IV was the only game who beat the $2 share 4. GTA is the only game who can beat the $2 share 5. BioShock: Infinite, Borderlands 2 and NBA are not going to beat the $2 share. How does anyone wade through the THEORY ideas much less the YouTube leaked videos?? I mean, for one example, I ALMOST want this to be the real trailer, but someone knows ALL these games.... so perhaps, Let's pick which fake preview is the best, you create the topic....

I have a feeling that you are replying to my post. My post was directed at the one who wrote that, not you. Rockstar are too good at keeping leaks to a minimum so I wouldn't really believe anything until something official is announced.

Sure you are right that R* would like deleting sites like that asap, but what if they couldn t? I checked the site and it s registered via proxy. So it s more complicated to take the site down than a usual site which was registered by someones usual internet access. What s VGLeaks? What did they leak? Something about GTA or about another game?

Most people here couldn't afford it. You could cover six figures overnight off ad-revenue alone with that media, and R* knows this. The dev content is on dongle-protected databases and goes over VPN(also encrypted), and most devs make too much to risk a career, hence no leaks..

Figures... I'm not aware of THAT one, but it almost figures, They'd use something very similar to GTA, it's just that on YouTube, when in doubt, check the votes on a particular video, More down then up, good bet it's not real! haha I remember using that Guideline with the GTA 4 leaked videos. As for with GTA 4, there was that one year prior, 1st Trailer for GTA4, a couple panned vistas, a view from the bridge in Hove Beach. they released a webpage of stills at a time, And everyone would look for clues in every corner, things like cracked glass, the proportions being called into question, etc.

^ Vinewood sign? You're speaking of the Real one in Cali, for a promotion leading to the game's actual release? I seriously doubt they could do it, but as a concept, it works If set there of course! haha I'd say, They could use YouTube more effectively then with GTA IV, since no one was really going to Rockstar's site most of the time, They'd find R's own trailers hosted on user's YT accounts, and then when the game actually leaked earlier in some parts of the World, YouTubers were quick to share illicitly gotten game footage! Ah, I remember it well! At that time, Take2/Rockstar were feverishly pulling videos off, and halting this problem as best they could, but to take the lead using YouTube in their favor this time, should be very beneficial. Providing no actual game leak happens. I really wonder about that this time!!

Now this gets a grip, congratulations Hurrikane by the way. Also I see "leaked" work from R* developers and the pieces start fitting, CityEngine screens have been posted on this topic before and they looked like LA landscapes.

Thats the exact thing R* would do, they know V is huge but they go on like its just a minor release. Classic R* style. classic R* style? like it's a minor release? never. Info gets leaked online and R* will play its part. Think about ANY major title R* is developing, developed or played a part in, most recently RED DEAD REDEMPTION MAX PAYNE 3 L.A. NOIRE AGENT As soon as they got something, they will show or let the info slide in...either way Between the release of the first screens/trailer to GTA IV and the game itself, a whole year passed. Same with RDR and L.A. Noire. Over a year screens or videos turned up, official ones, by R*. They announce their sh*t BIG, not minor. It hasn't been their "style". Look at Agent, all we got is a sh*tty Logo and the announcement that this will be their new action-franchise, same sh*t with MAX PAYNE 3. GTA V is their most valuable since GTA is their trademark. They won't drop it minor.

Note that he refers to it as "Grand theft auto V" I've noticed with all these resume leaks it's always been referred to as Grand Theft Auto V, not GTA5 or GTA: "Insert name here". So i guess R* are sticking to roman numerals and V may be a jump to the next era? I just hope we hear something offcial very soon, i just can't wait any longer!

In the 'Where is the blue?' mystery one of the locations in the V is 'Viking ski shop' and in another there is an image of the Matterhorn in Switzerland. http://www.rockstarbase.com/v/ My (very crazy) theory is that the image on his game portfolio is a very very basic image that was created for GTA V as a concept drawing (possibly hence the name Cartoon Art Test). It was made in 2008 so it would obviously have been made very early in the development (hence the quality). And the owner of the resumè was/is the environment artist I believe. Maybe the image was leaked to admins on this site (this part I HIGHLY doubt) and was used to give very minor hints through the Vs in GTAV.net? I have seen theories that are A LOT crazier and stupider than mine so don't attack me lol

Yeah, so now they will need to come up with another excuse for it being there. ...But their problem is, they can't find an excuse for this one, only Chuck Norris can. IMO, Rockstar has to announce the game pretty soon. They can't risk that the game is getting leaked, like MW3 did. We'll see an announcement this year! I'm sure! Almost...

Yeah, it's most likely they pushed it back. To be honest I think it's going to be announced very soon, we are getting a lot of leaks and ecetra. I hope what Xbox Magazine said is right, that it's going to be announced this Summer. Does anyone know if that was a fact or just a prediction?

Does anyone find it interesting that as soon as something like this comes out on this forum that it is removed just as fast. Clearly there are some Rockstar employees stalking these forums and keeping a tab up on us. This is going to be a pretty big Agent leak considering no one has seen ANYTHING from the game. They were also not flattering so I predict them releasing something official soon, possibly newly rendered images to catch up with whats out there. Sure it's okay for this forum becuase a handful of people won't matter in the long run, but if sites Joystiq, 1UP or IGN got a hold of those screens, the perception of the game could loose much of it's anticipation.

IGN said it would be around E3 and that's my source for gaming info... I would like to know if OXM is related to Microsoft (I know, it says official...) because wikipedia doesn't mention microsoft anywhere related to the magazine.

Even with a GTA game they will not be guaranteed to hit $2 a share. That is a huge figure. Very difficult for them without a GTA game. Still hard WITH a GTA game. How come Zelnick avoided the question? Because they want to announce the game on the PR side, not the financial side. They aren't announcing it that way. So that means a GTA is coming soon (as in 2 years)? If they hit their target of fiscal 2013, then we'd see the game well before the end of that fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2013. For them to hit $2 a share in that fiscal year, as they forecast, they'd need a game that sells well over 15 million copies. That aint Bioshock Infinite, my friend. So I would expect that for them to have enough sales time to hit $2 a share, they'd have to have the game on shelves for a good portion of that fiscal year. So, unless they miss their target (which they've done before), the game will be out by October 2012. If they give you 6 months of waiting after an announcement, then you'd get an announcement in spring. If they give you a year, then we'll hear very soon. If the game comes out early in the fiscal year then we'll definitely hear soon. But it's hard to predict if it will be April-May or October-November 2012. But it will be one or the other. Bank on it. I have hope now. After all the leaks on the internet finally some solid evidence. Mainly the 2$ per share, as that screams GTA.

Yeah forgive me for not paying to much attention. It was pretty obvious after iv's hype train that mags and writers for mags just do this to sell. the amount of stuff that was pressumed fact even after they had officialy seen the game turned out to be bs. Im not saying everything they say will be a lie but they seem to let there imagination run wild sometimes. the location for iv was actually leaked on chris moyles show on radio 1. stating a rockstar source that iv was to be set in a contemporary new york so keep your ears peeled..... for info it can come from anywhere.

Heres my theory: The backwards "get on your horse" thing means nothing. Maybe he just wanted to show the tree from a certain angle and to get it he had to flip the picture. The fact that the screenshot showing the street was from a certain mission means nothing. Maybe he just needed a shot showing a long stretch of straight and empty street. I think what the pic means is that there will be a long stretch of highway running through grassland in GTAV. Thats it. All these speculations and crazy stupid theories has us at each others throats. Its working us into a frenzy and the admins (as well as the people they report to at R*) are LOVIN it! I think the best thing we could do as a community is stop, take a breath and try to get some perspective. They have us running around like crazy chasing smoke and ghost looking for "clues" on random websites! A collection of lines is gonna be the map of GTAV? A website that is CLEARLY about XCOM may hold clues for GTA?! The admins start screwing with our names and the names of topics and you think there is a magical link?! Are you crazy?! We arent going to find any clues out there because there simply arent any TO find! There is no GREAT MYSTERY here to solve! When Rockstar is ready to release information about GTA it will be BIG news. It wont be released in small tidbits on random websites! You are completely right that there is no way in hell R*, or any game developer for that matter, release information like that without official confirmation. It simply is too unreliable and inefficient - despite all the action and crazy theories we are seeing here, it still remains a tiny minority who actually have the time and effort to look that hard into things with nothing solid to go on. The game and all their secret coding and secret clue-planting will not get much publicity at all, and creating such a difficult and elaborate clue trail is also massively time consuming as well - so the whole thing will be ridiculously inefficient. Furthermore, if they do indeed do something like that, it will massively damage their reputation once the whole thing blows over. People simply wont trust the game developer anymore, and even previous fans of their franchises will be driven away at the thought of the ridiculous amounts of time required to actually get any of the game info. No one really has that much time, and most gamers will be pissed if the game developers force them to waste so much time or miss out on important announcements. Also such wild goose chases are infact beneficial to the game developers as it buys them massive amounts of time, while keeping the obsessive fans occupied so their unrealistic and at times delluded idolised view of the developers is not shattered. Like I said with the old Blue V topic, NOTHING WILL COME OF THIS. I will happily bet the entire reputation of my word and opinion on this forum on this. I haven't even bothered to read this whole topic, and probably wont bother either. Besides, if the Admins here weren't sure that this all amounts to nothing, and suspected we are getting onto anything, you can bet your ass this whole topic will be deleted and people desciplined for even mentioning it's name - just like a certain other "Leak" topic before.
