Almost 300 pages and nothing was leaked so far.

I wouldn't hold out for much info. Relating to this I scoured the web for the PSM3 magazine (May 2011 edition), while not as "official" as that PS3 mag it basically had a similar front page mention as if it had some top-secret info on GTAV. So to burst your bubble, here goes: A one page article of two people (production editor of magazine, and an associate editor) debating whether LA would be a good location for the new GTA. Both quoted the recent "leaks" of the cast list and project RUSH. Really nothing we haven't torn apart since the start of this thread. I will re-write the details here if I have time, but it's seriously not worth the money to buy the mag just for this sad excuse of an article. I think these leaks meet the criteria to be considered reasonable parallels......and that means that there is a good chance that this stuff is legit. So as of right now, there have been what----3 leaks related to the game, two casting calls and a list of websites. One casting call features 19 characters---some with last names, and some only with first names. The other casting call lists 5 characters with only 1 being given a full name--but that one is significant b/c he has appeared previously in the GTA universe. The other leak is a collection of domain names registered to R*/Take2. Just by quick estimate, there are around 90 domain names. After skimming over these reported leaks we can examine the listed sites and the character descriptions to see if we can draw any reasonable parallels. If we can; it means one of three things. It could mean that all of this is very legitimate information. In which case, it goes to show that the internet leaves a trail that not even the most savvy, sophisticated, and secretive gaming companies can cover. And furthermore, the mere fact that these trails purportedly exist and can be found implies that there are more trails out there if one were to follow the right leads. However, there is also the possibility that all of this is a grand hoax being perpetrated by one dedicated and creative fish-stick, or possibly a team of not as creative fish-sticks. I say this, b/c, if these sites match up with some of the character descriptions--then the creators of this junk knowledge would have had to plan this out to make it appear as though it all pertained to a new GTA. They would have had to come up with believable characters, believable subject matter, and put it together into a cohesive block of information. Then they would have had to create a phony "leak" to simultaneously distribute and authenticate their phony information. The third possible scenario involves either one lazy fish-tard, or a group of lazy fish-tards who have distributed some phony info on GTA that coincidentally, and by no effort of their own, appears as though it is related. And this coincidence has fooled numerous websites, blogs, and casual forum-gangsters into thinking that they have some idea in regards to what this game is going to be all about. hehehhe----so can we draw any reasonable parallels??! I call troll Someone who registers and posts a "leak" on the same day doesn't raise any eyebrows? The supposed insider information makes the game sound so mundane and actually really dull I wouldn't want to buy it, let alone play it. Sure in a perfect world where R* had a clean calendar and lots of free time (after releasing GTA V), this would be a nice idea for a DLC but not a fully blown game...and no I still wouldn't fork out for it. Site registered via a proxy domain registrar so the owner's actual contact details are hidden and last updated at the end of Jan 2011... Give me plausible info (something that has a hint or something that can be chewed on and debated) and not my friend's sister's boyfriend's step-dad's nephew who has a friend who knows a postman who delivers mail to R* North said he overheard the word Venice through their letterbox

OT: I take any of these so-called leaks with a pinch of salt and as it already showed, most of the people who produce "leaks" are trolls who got a lot of time on their hands and desperate for attention. This thread should be put out of its misery, IMO.

Yes I agree it has been fun and I check this thread every day because one day there could be a real leak. I was just aiming those comments at the people who come in and say 'stop posting or the mods will lock' or 'mods please lock this it's too long with too many trolls' There's just no point in spamming it with that (and yes I know I'm kinda spamming now with off topic comments) Just let people enjoy the buildup to the game until the more news/leaks comes along. If that magazine is true, it can't be anything big or it would be a full cover blow up on GTA. I mean, if they wanted more people to buy the magazine, they would put up GTA instead of Uncharted on the front cover,right? Trolling? you have nothing to lose, this thread has been trolled and hijacked for it's last 260 pages. anyway, Valensim and MissCloud are right, this should become a trolling thread, like the new Lounge section just without the "What have I done today" threads.

Because leaks happen and we shouldn't have to wait till R* announces something. Amongst the bullsh*t and such, there have been some interesting stuff found. Is some of the stuff related to GTA? We don't know. But its been fun and members have been doing some detective work regarding any leaks we've found. I know that some people had fun with decoding those (fake) leaks. I think that the mods should just ban anybody claiming to have info/leaks. If someone has it, they should post it. Not saying "Oh I'll have some tomorrow or next week", those people should just wait until they actually have it and post it.

If there is ever any real news from R* there will be so much excitement that an 'announcement' thread will be made. Coming to this thread and expecting real news is just silly now; half the leaks are fake, some pure speculation and the rest is filled up with trolling. Why not let people gossip here to save the mods from cleaning up 10 'I know something...' threads per day? Whingers: either laugh at them or ignore this thread

The last 100 pages are kiddies and soccer dads arguing over other games and being off topic. I think the staff are pretending the thread doesn't exist at this point to keep the traffic rolling. I'm still wondering how domain registering is a "leak"..
