Boring. Give me Las Venturas, Vice City and San Fierro before another return to Liberty City!

Because it's easier to convert LC than the maps you mentioned. Liberty City and Los Santos - HD Universe San Fierro and Las Venturas - 3D Universe

I still don't understand the purpose of a DLC that brings Liberty City to V. I mean, we just got it in IV, so why release almost the exact same thing again? Besides HQ textures and some map changes here and there the lay-out would still be the same. I'd much rather have San Fierro or Las Venturas. I get that changing an existing map is a lot easier than creating a whole new city, but it still feels kinda cheap.

Just to continue... Not a smart move, an install that big would be ludicrous, It would not fit the map well either tbh, think about it for a second, Rockstar wouldn't make it another island, they'd have to rework the whole map honest. The amount of work and money necessary to put this together is insane first of all: Rockstar confirmed that we will see new maps in online you can interpreted this in multiple ways, but never say never. second: the map doesn't need a lot of rework. only an exit from route 1 with a tunnel through the mountain and a bridge to the northern part. Also a few roadsigns have to be edited, but that's it. Nothing more. No big models have to be changed and look at the found information. I understand that you don't want to believe the found information/evidence, because you don't want to expect stuff and it doesn't come. But there is just too many found info/evidence to ignore this. Third: Rockstar made more than 1 billion PROFIT from GTA V. An add on which would release in 2015 seems likely and if released in a disc version, they could make an easy 500 million again. And do you truly believe that all those modelers and other employees of Rockstar are on holiday? They have over 250 employees. They aren't all working on Heists and free dlc items... A skilled modeler (I am a modeler myself (not necessary skilled tho)) could create at least one/two houses a day or a car. This said: A lot of models could be reused, changed a little bit (different color) and put in as a new model. GTA V was made from scratch, but now they have a good system too work with, we can expect dlc and add ons on a monthly basis, like we see happening now. It is easier to make and easier to implement. Easier = quicker = cheaper. EDIT: The items from ALL Dlc's right now combined could easily been created within 1 month. Especially when you have over 250 employees... + a lot is cut content... There is a reason it is free, cash cards, and to make GTA Online stay profitable, they MUST add new maps. Sir, with all respect, please f*ck off, you're derailing the thread with your theories of San Fierro DLC. While we speculate DLC here, we speculate with proof found in cut content, if you want to talk about a SF DLC, either: A.) find something in files or pre-release screens that would point to SF being in the game once and it returning as DLC possibly B.) Go join another thread What you are doing is derailing the topic and making it hard for people to scroll through with your numerous paragraphs of non-sense.

Maybe, this was when they had San-Ferro in GTA V, there's a lot of references to it San Fierro was never in V at any point in development. I'm sick of people claiming "they cut San Fierro and Las Venturas" simply because they existed on the same map as the old version of Los Santos. We will see San Fierro in GTA Online in the future. HOWEVER it was never meant to be in GTA V at launch. As an add on, yeah sure, but not at the start of GTA Online. PS: there are a lot of references to San Fierro and Northern San Andreas. I am quite sure that we will see San Fierro in the near future. But again, it was never meant to be in the GTA V launch version. There were plenty of references to Vice City in IV (much more than LS), and we didn't see a VC DLC neither was the next GTA in VC.Only difference is that the people act like Northern San Andreas is actually there + there is artwork in which Northern San Andreas is featured + Rockstar confirmed we will see new maps added to the game.

We will see either Las Venturas and San Fierro in the future as standalone GTA installments. These 2 maps need their own game for them to be huge.

No, Rockstar doesn't do expansions like that, San Fierro needs to have its own fleshed out game to be done well. There are more posts about this in the thread than there isn't, please look through some of the pages before posting I found your post very interesting and raised a few interesting points. Who knows, we may be pleasantly suprised that the map is indeed different and features more regions/a larger map. Additionally with the increased processing power and storage of eighth generation consoles as well as PC's there may be an extra disc which features the new content. Cheers. yeah, I have put countless hours into finding the right information (and real not fake info). It was worth it in the end. I have made a gigantic post with all found evidence and information, and IMO it is quite a lot. With the new power of the 8th generation consoles anything is possible. Especially the "jumps" in San Fierro will be something to look forward too! I do believe we may see future map editions such as the ones you list, but that doesn't mean San Fierro was in V. If it was planned from the start of V as DLC (Or as you say "add-on") and developed along side it, that doesn't make it V beta. It just makes it an expansion that was planned from the start. But I do hope we will see it or another city in some larger map expansion. I said that I didn't believe San Fierro was ever meant to be in GTA V at launch. However, I believe that a different team (or partially the same team) has been working on San Fierro for multiple years. Modelers for houses, flats, landscape, roads and new content need to have work. They don't sit around and do nothing for their money. I don't understand that people actually think that when a game has gone gold, a big part of the crew just is going on Holiday for a year or so. No of course not. When the game has gone gold, most of the team is already working for over a year on DLC/add ons in the future, or even another game. And I think that your hope will become reality! :-) PS: It would also be a very smart business move from Rockstar's side :-) they would make at least another 500+ million from the add on. Just to continue... Just wanted to state this here: San Fierro was NEVER meant to be in GTA V at launch. However, thare are a lot of reverences, pictures and more which are about Northern San Andeas. It is highly likely that we will see it as an add on. For a fee ofcourse, not for free. So again: San Fierro was never meant to be in the release of GTA V, however, it is meant to be an add on. *add on could mean a stand alone version (disc version). I specifically didn't say dlc. For more info (my comment here contains all found information till last week: http://gtaforums.com/topic/713295-future-map-additions/page-11?do=findComment&comment=1065618027

I'm 100% sure that if San Fierro was even in the game, to the point of having a fully modelled baseball field, we would have already found enough proof.

I doubt San Fierro was ever in V. Rockstar said it was just Los Santos and the surrounding countryside, and there is no evidence that I know of that can prove them wrong.

Well no, they just weren't finished yet and are probably for dlc. The way R* sees GTA online, I see a very high chance of them doing this. Just be patient, the same with map dlc like San Fierro.
