  1. Thanks for the info. I suppose routers have firewalls built in these days too, but something to be cautious of perhaps.
  2. ^ Yeah and someone has suggested they've found a way around it already... but I don't believe that.
  3. Known "premium" menus (cost real life money to purchase). Force Hax = C&D. Menyoo & Authority = None griefing, but have the largest community. ni**er Menu = the original spawn of Insurance Fraud. The above have been available since the early days of GTA Online on PC. "Jordans Menu" and "Infamous" started out as free menus, but are now either paid menus or have that as an option. Infamous had over 300,000 downloads of it's free menu back in 1.30 and 1.31. Then the others which have surfaced are: Epsilon D3SK1NG XEN Sanctified Galaxy Matrix There could be more menus, and of course I haven't included the current free lineup of menus available from other popular gaming/ cheat sites.
  4. Starts at 42:48. You're welcome^^ Yeah even though I copied the time link correctly, it doesn't play from that time on these forums strangely. Thanks.
  5. Saying that, they mostly look like texture variations/ model swaps which you can go online with (depending on how OpenIV is injected), but it'd mean that other players won't see your changes unless they have whatever RPFs you've modified yourself in their game. In FiveM, there's stuff you can do specific to the servers - so if all the above was part of a pack, then anyone who connected to that FiveM server would likely already have the available assets and thus, everyone can see what's being used (and what's been changed). Anyway this thread can mostly be buried now - I don't think there's going to be the same sort of 'levels of mischief' affecting other people's games like we had in the past anymore.
  6. Nope. I did randomly have all my outfits removed from within a session that I knew I had them (could browse through them and wear them), but after restarting the game they were back. I guess the outfit manipulation stuff has stayed away and really that part of the thread's title should be "cash" manipulation. Does anyone find it vaguely amusing how they're starting to sound like R* breaking the news of a delayed launch with "we apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience"? It's more funny of course that the authors and their users are getting a long overdue kicking. The sad thing is, other menu users seem to be fine, when it's not Menyoo or Authority that are causing the issues and thus the point of this thread. The other menus with those malicious and harmful options are still operational, and the people who have those problematic menus are still trolling at full-throttle. I was teleported twice last night in two separate sessions along with the rest of the lobby - a function that neither Menyoo nor Authority have. I guess it's easy to target the people with the largest community considering they have over 18,000 members, who have access to these two menus and over 60,000 people on their site. So really RSG are spending their efforts addressing the people who aren't the ones making the game unplayable, which makes no sense... Why wouldn't the game's staff go out and research these menus or gain access to them to see a) how they're being used and b) where the issues stem from? Anyway, we'll have to see what Gunrunning has in store.
  7. Well I pay no attention whatsoever to Rockstar Support as the actual help and "support" I've had myself, as well as others have gotten, has been appalling. Sometimes they're not even equipped with the most up-to-date information from Rockstar North either, so you can't really take their word as gospel. That's why experience is usually a good thing and I can tell you with certainty after looking at a over 50 accounts in the last year or so, that you can spend all the modded money you want and nothing's going to happen.
  8. I think both Rockstar Games/ T2I and all of the mod menu developers realised how pointlessly futile it would be for the company to take matters further after issuing a C&D, considering all of the connotations of that. It's not like issuing the two largest menus did anything positive either, because those two closed their doors whilst another 10 opened them. That's right - there's at least 10 different menus you can pay for, to cheat in GTA Online. Some of them are even monthly subscription based like Force Hax or cost more than the base game for their one-time payment. The other thing is how easy it would be for Rockstar Games to patch methods A, B and C and even get memory editing looked into, but they're just lazy.
  9. Suggesting conversation pertaining to this topic and contents are continued in a more up-to-date thread: http://gtaforums.com/topic/889201-gunrunning-update-seemingly-patched-abusive-exploits/ Your choice, but I don't think there's as much of threat of "PC Players at risk" anymore.
  10. I still haven't seen anyone mention their outfits changing either, all that I know is the information on how to do was recently discovered or released, so it's something to be mindful of in the coming days and weeks. Lots of replies, so I'll put them in a spoiler. I was hesitant to create a thread at first, but thought it for the best. I'll be speaking to them about several things tomorrow, and if I can't speak to anyone with an IQ over 100 I'll be requesting something more. Great advice. It's nonsense that Rockstar Games require evidence from the user - if I contacted the police and told them my phone was stolen, I don't think the first thing they'd ask for is proof of ownership. Maybe I'm wrong and the whole world is going soft. That's correct too - at a value of $50,000 at a time. In less than 30 seconds you will have already made several million. I believe it uses one of the methods Rockstar Games awards players with. Don't ever fear receiving money if you haven't solicited it and are not the one doing the cheating yourself. If it was me, I'd probably make a video recording where I voiced my concern about just being given all that money, but opening a support ticket is generally a waste of time (as money sweeps will happen automatically, eventually). The only good thing about opening a ticket is that if anything was to happen to your account access, you could make the complaint that you'd already covered your back and that there was online proof of that. But I get told all the time "support agents are mostly there to deal with technical issues" and even then they don't seem to do a great job. Yes. If nobody at head office thought that was up for consideration in the past, it certainly should be now. Even if that could only be "enabled" until v1.40, it would at least give people an extra option in the meantime. Yes, bounties can also be put on players freely through mod menus, however the most you can get from any bounty is $10,000. Even if it states the bounty is for more than this, it's just a visual thing and won't actually award you with anything over 10k. Ditto, all I know is it's possible and could be coming in a few days/ weeks/ etc - just more of a warning about the possibility mostly. And anti-cheat developments are absolutely laughable. I had a moan at the end of July 2015 I think it was, and we're approaching two years on... If you're playing with other players, you can be affected. Unfortunately, things like money and rank sync in real time, which means once you've got it, the only way you can get rid of it is by contacting support (or spending it, if it's money). I've received just $10,000 once (5 x $2,000) and even though I pulled the ethernet cable out without any further delay, upon joining another session the money was still there. I would be cautious over spending sprees though, as I'm under the impression your expenditures are logged. They can't keep turning mechanics of the game on and off like a switch, simply because they fail to address the issue by solving the problem. In the last update (or v1.38), the "dinput8.dll" injector was added to the list of things to check and thus, if you've got that in your game directory and attempt to join online, you'll usually be told you can't as your game version is modified. Furthermore, if one of these menu users sets your rank to 8000 - what's to stop you joining another public session where someone sees your rank and reports you twice for exploits? If three players did that, you've gotten an extra 6 reports to your name over something you didn't do. I've no idea the authenticity of this report, but I would still be cautious. "So, there's this new thing going around the modding community that forces high ranks on to people, even going beyond the originally believed 250 mark, with some people being leveled to level 2000+. Now, this has caused panic in the community, as it not only ruins the fun of ranking up, but also imposes a huge risk of getting banned. I, in fact, have a mate who was leveled up from rank 50 to 2561. Shortly afterwards, he was permanently banned from Online."
  11. Hey it's okay to mention Menyoo, there hasn't been an online version for a long, long time now and it certainly won't be coming back. Honestly I don't really know much at all about the anti-cheat and how it all works together. I know some of its client side (like checks in the launcher) but other stuff is controlled elsewhere, probably via monitoring of globals or detected native use or recognised modules that are on their 'banned' list, whatever. Rockstar already have a whitelist so-to-speak in a way you mentioned - using single player mods the normal way will present you with a message about the game being modified, if you attempt to go online, and it doesn't let you. There's still various ways online mods can be loaded I guess and they don't even need to be in the game's directory to work. I did think already that they had some sort of monitoring of what's injected into the GTA5.exe or any manipulations there, but then there's probably ways around that too.
  12. Holy sh*t dude, this mod menu is even more advanced than the once I use in single player. Damn, no more afk in public lobbies. They've been instructed to halt operations. Apparently the devs intended to ignore the cease and desist but there website is currently unavailable anyway.
  13. Well this forum only supports offline modifications, so essentially those sort of questions pertaining to actively modding online will probably be frowned upon, I guess. This threads purpose was (hopefully) obvious from the get-go. What are you really asking anyway, if someone says yes or no?
  14. Maybe I jumped the gun on the Playstation stuff, maybe I was a little late? Either way, it does seem to be an isolated thing and not a vastly public thing, which is good for the time being.
  15. ^^ Unfortunately, Chaotic's most recent stream - live right now - has shown what they can do. It's about 1 hour 20 minutes from the start where stuff starts happening, I think. Sorry to hear that, DentureDynamite, that's pretty awful too. I hope you get that sorted quickly.
  16. I don't think it's last gen, since graphics not a garbage The mini-map is the tell-tale sign... it really can't be more obvious than that.
  17. There is, but I can't go into it. Basically, if they released the source or a free version, the person would be in court as it would breach the conditions set out by T2I. And I don't think these menu developers who received C&D's were "scared" or anything, I think they just realised that it's not worth going to court and fighting a huge multi-billion dollar company over cheats to a game.
  18. I just pray that players can't join one another via another players Social Club ID number - I really hope that's been sorted out. Maybe I can venture out into public sessions again soon. Fingers crossed.
  19. Well I gotta say that's the first I've EVER heard of that, and I used to be one of the switched on moderators over at Menyoo before they were forced to close down. You're jumping to a conclusion by saying "that's how I lost three accounts", as I've stayed in touch with people who, even if they'll get banned, they just buy a new account, change their IP via VPN and then keep on at it.
  20. I have a hard time recommending this as a solution, particularly for people that really are trying to maintain a legit account, since just having the menu installed is technically a violation of the R* ToS. It carries a risk of getting your account banned/reset just for having it loaded, even if you are only using it for the protection features. People need to be aware of the risk and willing to take it. It is unfortunate that the mod-menu community is more responsive to combating these abuses that R* itself. Oh certainly, that shouldn't be seen as a solution of any grade and it's not something I am recommending, even GTA Forums won't have it. I would like to ask what's going on at Rockstar North/ HQ though... Is it really so difficult for Rockstar Games to make a post on the Newswire informing people of what's happening and their efforts to quash the nuisances? Is it really so difficult for them to fix the issues so that this entire thread isn't necessary? The option I gave people can't really be condoned at any sort of official level, that post of mine is really just a work-around or secondary option for a very small percentage who as you rightly pointed out, don't care about, or are willing to take the risks or have been shafted by Rockstar Games by having years of efforts and dedication to the game wasted as a result of inability to "verify" a loss of funds, and then determining it as modded money (for example). Maintenance of a legit account may be made harder if someone sets your rank to 8000, a flurry of reports follow, and then shortly later you're banned - even if it is possible to have that recovered with their "no appeals" policy, it's extra hassle for the end user. And here I am, where all I want to have Online is an accurate digital speedometer for every vehicle, but even that wouldn't be allowed.
  21. Updated the OP a little bit to get rid of some outdated PC related warnings. Yeah I know what you mean there, that was my first enlightenment after not being on console for a while lol!
  22. I mean, there's nothing for Fun to take a look into really - this stuff has been happening for a while. Crucially though, if you're actually going to report someone in-game, I'm amazed you chose to report for "exploits" rather than "other"... if the report is actually sent anywhere, it's the "other" reports that matter or you're just adding a number onto a statistic.
  23. "Remote stat editing" is patched as far as I know, the same with whatever events could have been used to steal a player's money via Insurance Fraud or Hospital Bills, etc. It is still possible for a player to join you using your ID though, so keep that in mind.
  24. That did not work for me. I had a ton of money on my main in hand and I still had it when I switched over to the other account. It may have just been a glitch I don;t know I don;t us my second character that often. That would have been a glitch or you were mistaken - cash on the player's wallet is individual to that character slot until it is deposited into Maze Bank.
  25. Yeah I'm not sure if there is anything of late for PS4 - maybe there is though and there's just not enough public information about it. I did find the video below, but it looks like it's a glitch that allows certain aspects of Director Mode to pass over to Online. Interesting. Any French-speaking viewers may get more out of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnvGK22Fbrs
