Hi, This article i read says that GTA V should follow a little of Saint Row.. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/32688...ints-rows-book/ What you guys think? I think R* shouldn't and it should follow what its currently doing, rather than making GTA as comedy piece... If this has been already posted, i apologize

I remember shortly after GTAIV hype started to build, this god awful Saints Row 2 trailer was released which is a direct attack at GTA After seeing the GTAV trailer however, what could THQ honestly do or say to get their revenge? I know they are two totally different games and I respect them for that, but the fact that they had to go out of their way to put GTA4 down was pretty low. Expect anything this time around? Seriously, what are they gonna say this time around: "Would you rather climb a motherf*cking huge mountain range in a preciously detailed and lively LA? or decorate a crib and run around naked in the same city as the previous 2 of our games..." hmm.

Are you going to get it? I am. It looks like mindless, stupid, immature fun. I like the customization and stuff. Don't go "GTA V IS BETTER", because I already know that & agree. I'm just saying SR3 doesn't look bad.

With Saints Row The Third not even out yet there is already news for Saints Row 4. It is being developed and it will most likely be released in 2013 for the Xbox 720. Which seems far away. But 2013 is only 15 months away http://www.vg247.com/2011/10/05/rumour-xbo...-4-alan-wake-2/ http://gamerant.com/xbox-720-alan-wake-2-s...4-riley-107769/ http://n4g.com/news/858426/saints-row-4-cu...-world-dec-2011 With the graphical power from the next gen 720 console, games can be made like this new Unreal Engine 3 real time rendered(!!!) demo or what about the new engine from Crytek : CryEngine 3 used to the max with next gen 720 hardware (Crysis 2 does already look great with this Engine even on PS3 and 360) So, if Rockstar Games is foolish enough to wait with the GTA V trailer somewhere next year for a late 2012 release on the current consoles could the new next gen Saints Row 4 steal GTA V's thunder??? I mean surely the new 720 will be officialy unvealed at the E3 2012...with a trailer for the lauch games. Which besides an obvious new Halo, Fable, Forza will also contain Alan Wake 2 and Saints Row 4 Will GTA V be graphically dated October 2012 when we already know how sandbox games will look on the next gen consoles because of Saints Row 4? Maybe we would see a new trailer for GTA V on the E3 for PS3 and 360. But then we would see new Saints Row 4 video material with next gen graphics. With obviously much better lightening effects and much more realistic water effects because of much more precise physics and such Anyway, do you also think Saints Row 4 can steal GTA V's thunder next year with and after the E3 2012? ---------------- BTW, this early real time demo from Crytek looks pretty good as a GTA : Dubai The water looks pretty great when driving the boat. Or are Crytek making a GTA clone sandbox game themselves?

Hey, first time poster, but I've been lurking here since the GTA IV days. Now for the important stuff: In the SR3 trailer, a reviewer says "It out GTA's GTA". I know this should be no sweat off Rockstar's back, but do you think they will retaliate? Maybe with another trailer?

Imagine this is a contest i want you guys to say the Worst thing that you could possible say about Saints Row the turd .It has to be funny though and How Grand Theft Auto will always be the king of Open world games i personally hate Saints Row because i think it just copies what GTA does and put some perverted sh*t and some ugly ass vehicles into to it that is not even fun(no offence to Saints Row fans) What do you guys think

im really hoping rockstar doubles down & at least gives future gtaV players a new trailer or some kind of estimation of release. im going 2 most likely watch a few playthroughs & grit my teeth at how much better i know gtaV is going 2 be. from what ive watched already becuZ you know youtube is swarming with vids of ppl playing - it still lOOks cartOOny in comparison. this is not a saints row endorsement or a lets talk about their game topic im just saying that now that its out - IM MORE THAN READY 2 GET MY HANDS ON A COPY OF GTA V!!!

I just saw a commercial on TV for Saints Row 3, and there was one quotation that really got me annoyed. 0:40 - "Our GTA's GTA" They're at it again! Why are they such sore losers? Seriously.
-
Well, what do you think. Will do the same things as Volition. Like the crazy weapons, a flying bike, the realistic tank, etc. Or will gtaV be completely different?

Im sorry if theres a Topic on this... but i doubt there is I've met alot of people who prefer Saints Row over GTA.. i know its their choice and its their opinion.. but something in the back of my mind says "They just don't know the real greatness that is GTA" They Say Saints row is better Because of the gameplay.. I agree with this... the gameplay is fun and addicting and the story is just funny overall.. but the game story plot for both aint so simple.. SR 1&2 GTA on the other hand.. the gameplay is nice and the storyline in each game has something great to them.. except for SR's Create a Character and just play as them.. and its really the same story in both games.. but SR 2 is just based after the events of SR 1.. but making a New Character is just weird to me.. i wish they could of at least put in a Export Character from SR 1 save game.... but GTA has a different story to every game.. and the mission that are given to you are often connected with the plot.. which is a real nice and realistic feel.. like in GTA:SA The Whole game is based upon finding your Mother's killer/killers and trying to free your brother Sweet from Prison.. the missions are fun but some are boring as all hell.. SR Gets props on the Character Creation tho.. its fun and nice playing as a guy who you created.. like in the Tony Hawk series.. but thats getting off topic.. Playing as your own person is a nice fun thing.. but i like GTA Because the Character's each have a Different Backstory to them. which lets their personality run wild. even Peds in the game have some sort of back story.. which is really nice and funny to listen to.. so heres a comparsion i made on the two games Gameplay ---> SR The Gameplay of saints row is fun and addicting.. it never gets that much repetitive and even the minigames scattered across the map can keep you occupied and even the Create-a-Criminal (what i call it) is fun Gameplay ---> GTA The Gameplay of GTA is also fun and addicting.. but it will get old.. but not soon.. the guns and realism of the games leave alot of great fun.. even if its going to Burger shot or Pizza Stack to eat some food or Driving a bike through Downtown.. the GTA games have always been fun and everything and also... FUN WITH HOOKERS!! Story ---> SR The Story is well.. Confusing on Some Levels.. both games follow the same story.. just SR1 is stillwater before and SR2 is Stillwater After.. but the story is pretty good.. but its kinda weird to follow the same Story of the 2nd game and put it right after the events of the 1st game.. alot of games of done this.. but some games.. kinda twist the video game timeline.. for Example - Metal Gear Soild twists the storyline quite a bit.. but follows it.. since sons of Liberty follows into the year 2002 or so... and Snake eater folllows into the years of the 60's) another example is The Legend of zelda series.. but that timeline is soo f*cked up.. i dont wanna go into details with it) but saying.. the story would kinda get boring.. even with new missions Story ---> GTA Each GTA has a Different story which are all done very well.. the missions will connect with the story in some way and even some GTA's say some sort of reference from the other GTA's games.. the Characters from each GTA goes great with the story's even the peds.. which is really nice on that part.. i dont really wanna go into the other elements both games bring.. my opinion GTA is sightly better than SR.. but SR is still f*ckin awesome on its own! which one should you get first... i would say SR.. and then GTA if you havent played both.. SR is a real nice opening to open world gaming so thats my topic.. Please post any comments or questions..

In Saints Row 2 you could customise pretty much everything. Your character could be white, black, asian or Mexican. Huges amounts of clothes etc. But what i want to focus on is the ability to customise how you character looks. Now some people belive that if this was introduced into GTA, it would make the character 'seem distant' or may ruin the story line. Now in some cases i belive that this would be true. However, if you have spent all that time creating your character you seem to start really caring about what happens to hime/she. When i was playing Saints Row 2, creating my character took a long time but i felt more close to it than i did with Niko. Dont get me wrong Niko was a great character to play as but having a character that you yourself personalised gives a bonded feeling. Like to hear your thoughts...

Which sort of garage system would work best in GTA? I prefered the SR2 garage system to the IV parking spaces, as the cars were safe from the road (many times my cars would be scratched or have disappeared as other drivers had knocked the car out of the parking space and it had vanished. IN GTA:NeXt I would like to see a GTA III-esque system (with the glitches and bugs fixed, hopefully), however, something on the lines of SR2 system would work good. GTA IV's system would have been better if the parking spaces had been off the road, like in back-alleys, so that general traffic wouldnt knock it.

Can we learn anything from the Sr Seris, cause i think we can, cause GTA 4 was a good game but wat really urked me was the TOO realistic, like we should have act like SR2 and stuff nd was crazy as GTASA what u guys think

Do you guys think the release of Saints Row 3 (LINK) this fall will put any kind of fire under R*'s butts to remind everyone who's the boss and release some info in the fall? Or will this have no effect? I think the latter but I'm hopin it might..

So what would you think of Rockstar and the creators of Saints Row teaming up to make the ultimate game. Grand Theft Auto V: Vice City Even though I'm not a big fan of Saints Row because of their lack of creativity. I find it quite intriguing seeing a game like this being released.

Hear me out on this one. Although I am a 100% GTA fan and would choose it over any game in the world, do you think you can last another year without a new GTA game when SR 3 comes out. Don't lie. Every GTA player has played or at least seriously contemplated playing the Saints Row Games. I for one like the Saints Row style which reminds me of the GTA III era games. IF Saints Row decides to go in the direction GTA went with Grand Theft Auto IV putting a more realistic style to the game, then I will never play another Saints Row game. Its bad enough they stole the idea from Rockstar, so they better keep the style the way it is. What Do you all think? Can Saints Row 3 keep you busy 'til GTA V comes out?
