What's with the lack of weapons? i mean looking at saint's row the third they have chainsaws & flame throwers & the fist of destruction or whatever it's called gta games these day's lack in the weapons department

Saints Row stopped being a poor man's Grand Theft Auto after Saints Row: TT release, now focused on humour with the only similiarity: open world game with criminal activities. Why don't the bias comparisons don't stop? (Before you flame me, yes, I do play GTA, however why comparing a serious open world to a funny open world?)

I know that Saints Row is a totally different game. The creators of Saints Row said that they admire Rockstar's GTA Franchise and their work (If someone could post the link to that article I would appreciate it)..... BUT, What do you think is Rockstar's opinion on the Saints Row Franchise?

Hey I just tryed Saints Row The Third for the first time Because I got in playstation plus for free And I must say wow that game is like sh*t even compared to Gta IV What's up with the cars when you hit stuff in IV you car gets destroyed In the third your car just stays normal Without a scratch And the shooting mechanic stink too The only fun in that game is the funny special weapons Like the real car rc What do you guys think of saints row the third (Sorry for bad texting)

On Twitter, the community manager of Deep Silver (SR4) posted a link to a article on clickonline.com claiming that SR4 is better than GTA V. Then if posting that article wasn't enough he posted this on Twitter: "(Or if you really must compare them, one has a blimp and the other has a VTOL, shaped and painted like an eagle. With missiles.)" He's really stupid enough to compare a pre-order bonus to that crappy and completely unrealistic jet?? Now for the article on ClickOnline. Before the writer of this complete trash article reached a so called "verdict" he decided this on these categories. Presentation - GTA V Mechanics - SR4?! (He bases GTA V's mechanics on MP3 BTW) Plotting - GTA V (He say's "Toss a coin, GTA V". Yah thats professional writing right their!) Longevity - GTA V Variety - SR4.. Claiming that walking, running, shooting, stealing and driving is no match for MechSuits, Dubstep Guns, SuperSpeed. Even with GTA V winning this idiots sh*tty grading scale his verdict is SR4 as the winner. I have played and owned every GTA game since the original. San Andreas was good. I recently played Saints Row The Third. I found SR3 to be a much better game, although it had its own flaws. Can we at least create our own character like in SR3?

In the trailers we see Franklin wearing the same shirt ( button up T-shirt with a white long sleeve shirt underneath ), but the button up shirt changes from scene to scene ( blue, tan and green ). Do you guys thing we'll be able to pick the color scheme for clothing or have multiples of the same article of clothing just in different colors? Discuss.

Haha just saw this walktrought of Saints row 4 and I Must say that it looks even worse than saints row 3 They didn't even make a new town or new menus or a new Interface Volition be afraid your game is gonna be crushed by the Massive Grand Theft Auto V

I got Saints Row III about 4 weeks ago. I'd been playing for a while when i noticed a few things. Quite a bit of things that were set to be in V, saints row already had. Heres a list of things thats been confirmed for V, but Saints Row III already had. (Back in 2011 mind you.) Taunts, or 'flipping people off' to get different reactions. Pedestrians filming videos of you, be it beating people or shooting a cop. Car handling is more 'arcadish'. Cars hold better to the ground. Now, i'm not accusing R* of taking ideas, after all, Saints Row was pretty much a GTA clone in the first place. I just thought it was wierd R* would confirm this stuff, as Saints Row had already done it. Now, i like GTA more than saints row, thats a fact. I'm not trying to get reactions, or 12-year olds typing in caps lock "LOL NU U N00B SANTS R0W IS DUM". What do you think, did they take a page for Saints Row?

I'm talking about the boring Cutscenes in previous GTA games which is all about Mission Task, while Saints Row got Badass Gunfight during Cutscenes.

Seeing as many games are doing this type of thing, I would like to know who many people like this idea.

I could do without all the saints row hate. If that's possible The thing I really like about saints row 2/3 is how they never back down, never give up and never say die. It might sound crazy to some people but I was really motivated and inspired by saints row 3 in a way I never thought possible. It made me think about my own life and how I take it too seriously. It made me think about how I can make my own life better.If I just have the balls to take some risks. The main message I got from gta iv is that most people ARE selfish buggers and that life's "sh*t" as niko put it Don't get me wrong it's only a video game. Just like movies all video games are different and I love gta iv. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say it's one of my favorite games of all time BECAUSE of it's dark story However..... It can't be all bad..... Their needs to be good times. I think gta iv, rdr ending where perfect I wouldn't change anything. But why do the protags have to "cry" and "bitch" about how they hate their lifes,killing people ect. Once again that stuff needs to be said it has a place in the game but it shouldn't be the focus Gta NEEDS to MIX gta iv with saints row 3 imo. Make it over the top but realistic. Tell a powerfull and moving story. However DON'T have a protag who complains all the damn time. Their needs to be fun times,sad times, funny times.

A few weeks ago i realized that gtav may not come out ANY time soon so i said F it and downloaded saints row 3. When i first downloaded it i said to my self " damn, i think i made a mistake." but after the first mission i made my character and put in some cheats and played. Sr3 became very fun to me. U can customize cars, fly planes, the safe houses are big with garages, and theres alot of weapons. In fact i i got half way through the game and realized that i can up grade weapons so now it feels like i have a brand new game. Games fun and i think i might buy saints row 4. And if we dont get any info on gtav this month im gonna have to go buy sleeping dogs. Did anyone go out and buy a game that they werent looking foward to and ended up liking it?

Okay before you hate me for even saying this, I understand this is a GTA website not a saints row website. But ive found it hard not to mention Saints Row. I first bought Saints Row I when I wanted a new GTA like game during the wait for GTA 4. I found it better in some ways, but not many. The story was predictable, it lacked a good amount of missions and your character wasn't speaking. What popped out at me was the ability to create your own protagonist. San Andreas was much better however. But when GTA 4 came out I noticed they took out multiple game play options. I know everybody here knows this so I won't go into further details, but when I bought SR2 they had just about everything GTA 4 didn't have (Stores, Custom Homes, Car Modding, Fun Minigames like Fight club and F.U.Z.Z, etc.) GTA 4 excelled way more on a story and graphics standpoint and in my opinion is a better pick for hardcore gamers. What if rockstar could combine the game play from each games? For example GTA 5 could include GTA Aspects like: High Standard Graphics, Story Multiplayer Events Humor with boundaries Internet TV Fun police chases And Saints Row 2 aspects like: In-Mission Checkpoints Varied weapons Replay Missions Modded cars Custom radio Graffiti More clothes, cars, houses, criminal activity Airplanes Thoughts? Rants?

So, another title scheduled for Fall 2012 gets pushed back. Or even better/worse, it got canceled ! Saints Row : Enter the Dominatrix was scheduled for September 2012 as a stand alone expansion similar too EFLC for 40 dollars/euros. Just read the article below. The superpowers in this canceled game will now be used in Saints Row 4 (as cheats, not for the story I hope FFS. I really hope Volition/THQ will go back to the SR2 vibe. Which is still silly but at least not as retarded unfunny as SR3). Anyway, this fourth Saints Row game will come out somewhere in 2013. So, I really don't know if publishers like THQ, SEGA, Konami, Square Enix and such have more inside information about GTA V. Or if Rockstar North has send them a cryptic message. But at least this news gives me some hope for a 2012 release What are your thoughts about yet another game basically being pushed to 2013? I know it's Saints Row so 99% of you don't care. And neither do I since the extremely disappointing SR3. But still, the amount of games being pushed back from the usually most profitable Holiday season is getting ridiculous, right? me personally, i Loved the dancing in Saints Row 3, id always wipe out a street of Luchadors and then just start doing the running man....or being online and just having those random dance-off's infront of casino's, that crap was Fun would you want this for GTA5 or no??

(And for good reason) So ask yourself, do you want a game that is being rushed with bugs and glitches overlooked or a game that is being polished to the utmost standard? I rest my case.

back when saint row 1 came out the 1 feature that really stood out was the music still being played when you leave your car. small but cool feature. how about it in GTA 5, a killing spree while the music blasting out the car or just being laid back in country side outside of your pick up truck playing k-rose.
